For this achievement you must help the Ghost Miner find his pickaxe. Head east a screen from Clintville and then north to reach the Mine Entrance. Enter the mine and go north a screen, then west two screens to find the ghost in the top left corner.
Agree to help, then immediately head south a screen and follow the tracks until they end. Go up the ladder to the left of the water and north two more screens. Then follow the tracks east two screens and you’ll see an overturned mine cart above you. Head north past this and up a screen to find the pickaxe.

Don't skip the dialogue! After locating the ghost's remains, I rapidly skipped much of the subsequent conversation; I wound up not unlocking the achievement. In the end, I had to quickly do it again on a new save.
