You can get this very early in the game.

As soon as you enter Clintville, go to the right of the saloon and there will be a woman on a porch. Talk to her and she will tell you about her drunk husband. Agree to bring him home and head to the saloon.

The husband is at the bottom right, converse with him and tell him to go home. He will disagree so converse with him again, draw your gun and he will agree to follow you. Go back to the woman you talked to, another conversation will happen and the achievement will unlock.

Thanks for responding! I had tried leaving the area as well as quitting to the Main Menu. I did not check my journal, but I did try talking to the husband, but it didn't trigger a "gunversation". Unfortunately, neither leaving nor quitting worked, so I ended up just starting a new game since it's in the beginning.

What if she doesn't appear at all? I don't see her anywhere, and I've talked to everyone. She wasn't in the sheriff's office either.

CryptCore, leave Clintville, re-enter Clintville, go just a short ways and there should be a woman on a porch. She will talk about her husband being a drunkard.

You can check if you already have the task by pressing Y and a map will open, press left stick to the right and it will say clues, press left thumb stick again to the right and you’ll see the heading Journal. If you have the task Drunk Husband then go to saloon & follow SlipKno008’s instructions above. Pressing Y closes your journal. Hope this helps.
