How to unlock the Great Owl achievement in What Remains of Edith Finch - Definitive Guide
*JUNE 2019 UPDATE* A couple of the fine folk using this solution have noted that this achievement is quite buggy of late. Not sure the cause of the problem this far after launch. If it doesn't pop for you, I'd recommend finishing the game/all other achievements, wiping your save data for Edith Finch, and retrying. It's around 10 minutes in (if that) so its easy to retry, fortunately!
This is probably the most "missable" of the misc. achievements, but still incredibly easy. Very light spoilers below.
During the very first story vignette (Molly's) you begin eating some questionable food in your room, and then transform into a cat. After you have caught up to the bird, you will turn into an owl.
In this section, you'll be flying over snowy fields and woodland. Your objective is to catch 2 rabbits, and for the achievement you'll need to grab both without missing. This is easily the most "missable" achievement, and the only semi-skill based one in the entire game.
Keep flying overhead until white text with "Rabbit" appears. If the area is very open, follow it until you are close and then go for it by pressing RT and you should catch it easily . If it is by trees, leave the rabbit and go for one more open, as you can lose your target. Stick to open areas, fields etc. You aren't penalised for skipping rabbits, but if you commit with a "scoop" (RT) then you MUST catch 2 rabbits in a row without failing any attempts. If you do fail, just keep going for now; as I mentioned in the introduction to the walkthrough everything is completely replayable.
This is absoltuely replayable after you complete the story, and is only about 3 minutes to get back to the POV of the owl each time.

I would add, don't give up if the rabbit has gone out of site on the right or left, just move a little bit and you might pick it up. I got the achievement that way after totally failing the first time playing Molly's story. Great solution, especially the part about avoiding trees!

I have done it twice already and the achievement didn't pop.
Under a youtube's video guide a few people complain about my same problem saying this being glitch as a trophy, so maybe it is glich on xbox too.

You're guided towards 2 rabbits during the first part of Molly's story (the first one in the game), so just aim well to catch them.
During the first story, you will be turned into an owl and will begin hunting rabbits. Aim for open areas, and try to align with the owl before swooping in with to catch them. Catch two in a row without missing to unlock the achievement. If you miss, after you complete the game you will be able to select to replay any particular story you want.
MISSABLE.
During Molly’s Story, you will turn into a very hungry owl. As you fly around, there will be two rabbits running along that you will need to swoop down and snatch up. Text will appear over the location the rabbits appear (“Rabbits!” and “A momma rabbit!”). Press and hold to swoop down and fly low. You need to fly into the rabbits to catch them.
Catch both on the first attempt and the trophy will unlock.
If you miss the trophy during the initial run, you can replay Molly’s Story using the “Replay Story” option (unlocks once you complete the game).
If using the video walkthrough provided for Finish All Stories, this trophy sequence begins at 9:23. Video credit goes to rus199410.

Molly's story, after the cat turns into an owl, during the flight look at the ground, it will say “hare”, descend and press RT, do it twice (according to the plot) and get Achivochka!

You don’t just have to catch two birds with one stone, but catch each one on the first try.
