How to unlock the First Wife Quest achievement in Wife Quest - Definitive Guide

Hi !

The Wife Quest mini-game is unlocked after finishing the game once (you'll also unlock Magic mode).

This mini game is composed by only 3 (long) screens then a Boss,but it can be a pain.
So here's my full walkthrough to help you:


Controls:

  • cn_A Jump
  • cn_X Sword Attack
  • cn_Y Shield


Tips:

  • Don't try to kill enemies because your sword range is ridiculous.Instead,jump over them.It'll be easier to survive and you'll complete the mini-game much quicker.
  • You can touch the enemies.Only their attacks can hurt you.
  • As your shield needs mana to work,only use it sparingly.I only used it for the rocks thrown by blue enemies.
  • You'll only get a full health and mana recovery at the start of each screen.No enemy drop,no chests,so be careful !
  • The Boss is a joke: avoid her attack,hit her 5-6 times and repeat until death.

The Wife Quest mini-game unlocks after beating the game on Normal for the first time and is accessed via the main menu. It consists of 3 levels plus a boss and is a very rough first draft of Wife Quest. I would recommend just jumping over the enemies rather than fighting and bring some patience with you. You only have 3 hits, long jumps to make and the unlimited spawns put you back at the beginning of the level you died on. Its not hard, but can be frustrating.
