Each challenge level has a Ghost Time. All you have to do is beat that time, level 1 is very easy to complete under the par time (23 seconds).
If you struggle with this, then watch the Ghost Master's run through and see where you can cut corners and be faster.

This has to be done in Challenge mode. The first levels ghost time is 23 seconds. Press start and view how the ghost did it in the solution option. If the first level is giving you trouble, try level 2 or 3... whatever comes easiest to you.
