An easy way to earn this achievement is by defeating the boss
. The fight leading up to the final encounter does not matter for this achievement. Only when you fight the boss head-on does this count. Using a Nodachi weapon, I was able to break both his hands by doing a fully held Iai Slash (RT) after the bear slammed his hands down. A full trigger hold destroyed each hand in one hit.
Stand far from the boss to avoid the slam and power up the Iai Slash. Use a springboard to regain stamina, close the distance to the boss, and then release the attack to destroy the hand in one go. Rinse and repeat for the second hand and done. If you cannot destroy the hand in one hit, it should still do plenty of damage to finish it off shortly after with continuous attacks.
Final note: this fight can be refought just like any other hunt, so if you try the first time and are not strong enough for the easy two-hit kill, come back later for an easy clean-up. I main Nodachi, so I'm sure other weapons can work; I just have not tried them myself. Best of luck!

Can confirm this works. Got hit by the spikes while shooting then one hit killed him with ripple nodachi 3 fully charged from the first paw slam

You can cheese this pretty easily. Just join another players online game and stay at the camp. As long as the Kemono that the host is fighting is killed and you take no damage from THAT monster then this achievement will pop. I confirmed this with me and a friend.

I couldn't get the achievement to unlock in this way. Not sure if it's patched or I was bugged, but the circumstances where it unlocked were: I joined a hunt, the monster wasn't engaged until after I joined, I actually got some hits on the monster, and I got the finishing blow. I do not know which of these things was important, but if someone is having trouble, it should be good to know.
