How to unlock the Kingjammer achievement in Windjammers 2 - Definitive Guide

It's better to do this achievement on Easy difficulty, and you need to know how the scoring works.

There are 5 matches and 2 bonus stages to beat. Every match end whenever someone wins 2 sets. To win a set, a player has to:
- Score 15 or more points.
- Have more points that the other player when time runs out.
In case of a draw, both players win a set, and if the match was already 1 - 1, the CPU wins by default.

The scoring system goes:
- 1000 for each set won (will always be 2000).
- 1000 for each white set (sets won with the CPU not scoring a point).
- 500 for each charged shot.
- 500 for each perfect reception.

We want to focus on charged shots, as they're easier to perform than perfect receptions. To do a charged shot, you have to stand on the crosshair that appears when the disc is tossed. the cheap way to abuse this is to toss it yourself at every occasion you can by pressing cn_A right before the disc touches you (tossing is explained in the "How to Play" section of the game).

To maximise the amount of charged shots you can do, the best thing to do is lose 1 set, as there's no penalty for losing anyway. That way you can get an extra set, and some extra charged shots.

You can get about 50k - 60k points with the bonus stages, it's important to know that they always repeat the same pattern, so it's better if you practise a couple times before going for the achievement (or search a video in Youtube, whatever suits you better).

The first bonus stage is about breaking discs. you get points for each discs you break, and then some extra "Tech points" for every discs you break by slapping it. To slap a disc, you have to press cn_X before grabbing it (the reason to practise is to get the timing of this). You will know if you did it correctly if the word "GREAT" appears. You also get bonus points for doing a no miss run, but it's not really necessary if you get enough tech points anyway (In my successful run, I didn't get it).

The second bonus stage is the Hot Dog Distance. You control a dog, running along the beach while dodging peaceful bystanders, and you have to get as far a you can and grab the flying disc at the end. you get (Distance x 100) points, and a "Tech bonus" of 10000 if you catch the disc. There's also a "Hot Dog bonus" if you get the Hot Dog that appears randomly in the stage, then again, is not necessary (in fact, trying to get it may be a nuisance).
The trick in this stage is to stick to the low part of the stage (the sea), then keep pressing cn_RSr to get as much distance as you can, jumping over people to not get slowed. Again, practise is key here to know where those people are located.

Thanks for the tips. You can add solutions about the bonus stages then add links in this solution. Here they are: Disc Attack and Dog Distance.

"In case of a draw, both players win a set, and if the match was already 1 - 1, the CPU wins by default." I had some matches that ended with 2 - 2, the game started an extra set with sudden death: the first player to score win the match.

I tried on easy but gave up because the computer was too bad and plays were too short to boost scores. I tried on normal but failed stupidly. I restarted again on easy but use the lob to help the computer send me the disc. I was able to gain more points. And unlocked 100k points after the dog. So there's some margin to reach the goal.
