How to unlock the Elite Campaign Legend achievement in WIPEOUT OMEGA COLLECTION - Definitive Guide
The HD and Fury version of Elite Passing the 2048 campaign. In these two modes however you need to change the difficulty to Elite yourself:
Changing to Elite difficulty improves the AI and increases the requirements for the combat and time trial related events. Here is a list of the events not found in the 2048 campaign:
Tournament - A collection of races where you're awarded points based on your finish in each race. Whoever has the most points at the end wins.
Speed Lap - You have seven laps to beat a target time for a single lap. You get one free turbo power-up at the start of every lap, so it's best to use one lap as a warm-up so you can use that turbo right before the start line and still have a turbo to use on your proper timed lap. The key to succeeding in Speed Lap is pretty much the same as Time Trial - stay clean, hit as many speed pads on the track as you can.
The following modes are only in the Fury campaign:
Eliminator - Similar to 2048's combat mode, an endless number of laps and a score target to reach based on damage and eliminations.
Zone Battle - Based on Zone mode, but against opponents. Your Zone increases naturally as it does in the regular mode, but you can build up a boost by going over speed pads. As you build up boost you can deploy it to instantly gain lots of Zones, or you can absorb it if you need health. This mode has a target Zone for you to reach in order to win, so as soon as you have enough boost stored up to hit that target, go for it.
Detonator - Probably the most complex of the new modes, but still straightforward. You have 14 laps. Each lap sees mines dotted around the track. Shoot the mines to score points. Your ship holds 15 shots and you get bonus points if you can chain together hits without missing. You can also build up an EMP by going over the speed pads on track (the mode takes place in a Zone setting, with the same background and automatically increasing speed) which lets you shoot a Quake-like blast over a section of the track to wipe out everything.
In detail for each mode:
1. Race and tournaments. They will become the main problem for getting gold, since you need to know the route (be able to drive well, make barrels, etc.) and have luck - opponents can either shoot missiles at you or kill each other with them.
2. Speed and time. These races depend directly on you. If you spin the barrels wherever possible and try not to crash into the walls too much, you are guaranteed success.
3. Site. Unlike the 2048 campaign, these areas shouldn't pose any problems. The same applies to Syncopia - the track is quite smooth for the section.
4. Battle on the site. This is where you need luck and a lot of it, opponents can either add their points little by little or behave cheatingly with them. It is important not to crash into the barriers that they create - this greatly reduces the chances of a gold medal. Try to accumulate 6.5-~8 points and turn them into a barrier - most often in this way you can reach the coveted gold.
5. Hunting. It should also not be a problem, the only thing I would like to note is: if it suddenly turns out that you are beaten or you fall behind, and specifically - do not chase your opponents, wait or click and drive to them since they usually drive close to each other (within ~1/7 scale).
6. Demoman. In general, the main thing here is not to run into mines. Guns are your friend. As a rule, you can score points even just by shooting at random, the main thing is not to forget to use the ability , so that mines are cleared from the field, and points are added to you.
