You have to drive 10 laps anyway, so it doesnt matter too much that you're on the last position, just make sure to time the autopilot to sections that slow you down much (either because you have to use the airbrake a lot or because you bump into the track a lot). Autopilot is just busted in those sections.
Use turbos and barrel roll boosts whenever you have a bit of a straight section that you can utilize for boosts.
I won most of them with Feisar Prototype which gets faster the more speedpads you hit without bumping into the track but i guess it works with everything that has decent speed.
Tl;dr: Always try to utilize the green weaponpads, especially turbos and autopilots (that you time to difficult sections of the track)

A+ Challenges are found throughout the three 2048 seasons, beyond the core Campaign events. As the name suggests they're much, much tougher than anything else you'll face in 2048. Fortunately you only need to beat one. There's one challenge per track, and the easiest of these is the Sol challenge in 2050. The AI struggles badly with this track, so if you focus on speed you can pull out a large gap. The Feisar prototype ship is the best option if you're comfortable with its handling, but if not any speed-based ship should do.
As with the rest of the campaign, you have to Elite Pass the event by winning it to earn the trophy.
