How to unlock the Ascension achievement in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Definitive Guide

I made a spreadsheet that can be used to track all of the collectibles, including the location for each:

Just click on "Use Template" and you can add a copy to your own google drive.

If you are looking for just the Golden Cicada Shells, you can filter by collectible type. Once you have all of the shells collected you need to bring them to the guy on the top of the tower in the hidden village.

If you find any issues with the spreadsheet please let me know and I will try to keep it up to date!

Collected all the cicada shells, gave them to him and got my achievement and my tablet. Loaded up "Tyrant's Final Banquet" to collect a tablet I missed and found a cicada shell on a rooftop...

Yeah tell me about it, i'm still waiting for Atomic Heart to fix like 9 of my missing/broken achievements - I bet they never retroactively fix them tbf.

I just finished the game and have like 90% with this achievement. Now I have no idea which one I didn't collect and I'm giving up. I hate achievements like these. I can't go through the various battlefields again just to find 1 of 2 of these.

Don't give up bro. Go through them one or two at a time and take a break, you'll get there. I hate achievements like this too

New patch 1.05 allows you to see what items you have from the travel menu, making these collectible achievements much easier to manage.

Broke again.. pick cicada in Tyrant's Final Banquet" on a rooftop and game tell me that is missing... reboot game and now on rooftop give some item level 3

This achievement bugged for me, its the only achievement I’m missing (other than the 100% achievement one).

He dropped the tablet but the achievement didn’t pop for the shells – because of this I managed to get the all tablets trophy which isn’t possible without all the shells – shell achievement is stuck on 95%.

Update 1.04 has fixed the broken achievements for me!

I read their patch notes properly this time

Fixed a bug that would sometimes make it impossible for the player to obtain some trophies/achievements.
Note: After the update is applied, these trophies/achievements can be obtained by clearing any of the main or sub battlefields.
I replayed the first level and beat the first boss again, and both of my missing achievements popped after beating him.

Golden Cicada Shells are yet another collectible found in Wo Long. There are 20 total to find, all of which are pointed out in the walkthrough linked in the Road Map. Alternatively, you can use this guide which is dedicated to this collectible type, or follow the video below. Once you have all 20 shells, you need to turn them in to the Hermit of Tianzhu who we saved for the Dogged Justice (15G) achievement. You can turn the shells in a few at a time for item rewards throughout the game if you'd like, or just give him all 20 at once. He is found at the highest point of Mt. Tianzhushan on top of a small building.

After you feed all the shells and it is completely worn out, re-enter the map and one of the tablets will lie in its place
