There is no in-game tracker to know which ones you have missed so I would HEAVILY recommend tracking them manually or getting them on your first playthrough as you progress through the game. The Shitieshous do "migrate" over to the Hub village once you find them and the achievement tracker works as well to give you an idea of your raw total number.

Also All flags, items and Shitieshou picked during a playthrough counts for the overall play even if you quit the battlefield mid-map (Thanks GoH Sticky for the confirmation!)

Shitieshou are the Snuggly from Dark Souls equivalent of this game: They are meek panda demons that kinda just hang out and will eat an item you drop in return for another item of AT LEAST the same level of rarity so sometimes for example sometimes you can get a 4* out of a 3* item (thanks to Freud & Wyatt for the info). I believe anything can be fed to them but I usually just feed them a random weapon that I don't want. Ensure that you DROP the item, do NOT discard as discarding permanently removes the selected item. Once you drop the item you will have to wait a few seconds for the Shitieshou to eat it and burp out a trade.

There is a total of 23 of them spread across the entire game. Since you can replay missions at will you do not need to worry about "missing" any of them as well! Below is a video showing all locations(All video credit to 100% Guides):

The Valley of Crying Wraiths: About halfway through the mission you will get a Battle Flag that has a decline. Go down the hill and the Shitieshou will be on your right.
The Demon Fort of the Yellow Heaven: In one of the corner buildings in the village, there's a bunch of pots/crates within there too.
The Flying Swallow of Heishan: From the first Battle Flag: go through the battlements until you find the huge gate. Then before entering the gate go to the right and search within the wooden structures.
In Search of the Immortal Wizard: Right next to a Battle Flag once you cross the lake with all the water demons.
Shadow of the Sacred Mountain: Once you raise the battle flag that was guarded by the Tiger, go down the stairs and you’ll find it in a small wooden alcove on your left.
Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch: Go to the final flag next to the Temple Entrance. Then you'll need to turn around and find a white ledge that you can climb. The Furry friend will be a bit further along the roof.
Escape From the Capital: From the second Battle Flag: enter the scroll library and go to the upper section
The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass: Once you get the Battle Flag in the middle of the Battlefield: move up through the left battlement. When you get to the top go to the right and find the Building opposite of the Ape.
Centuries of Glory Burned Away: Found in a dead end that is right across from the Golden Cicada location.
The Lost Sacred Artifact: Once you are forced to go down into the water, you'll find this guy by progressing forward.
Darkness Over the Hanshui River: Once you go past the gate guarded by two Fanatics. Uncorrupt the Battle Flag, then check the buildings opposite it to find it.
Tyrant’s Final Banquet: Within the caves, you’ll eventually reach a room guarded by a Crocodile. This is right where it is.
Fate of the Entertainer: From the second Battle Flag, in the bamboo garden, go to the left side past the statue.
War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely: About halfway through the mission, you’ll have to kill a spearman guarding a Battle Flag. Once you beat him, go past it and branch off to the left as soon as you can. You'll find this one in an alley to the left once you defeat the soldier guarding it.
The Uninhibited Heart: Once you get to the room with a lightning-summoning Warlock: Use the pillars in the room to get to a hidden alcove with a long ladder you can climb up. You'll find the lil guy at the top.
The Way of the Warrior: Once you get to a village: cross the bridge and raise the Battle Flag. Diagonally and on a small edge is the Shitieshou.
Lu Bu, Mightiest Among Men: Eventually you'll enter a round room with a large statue in the middle. Get to the top and you’ll find an axe-wielding soldier. Once you defeat him you'll find a platform along the back of the statue with the Shitieshou.
Behold the Glaive of Righteousness: Late in this level you'll get to a foggy area. Once you do, continue along the main path to find a Tiger. Defeat it and then climb up the long ladder and cross the bridge. At the end of the bridge, go left and kick down the shortcut platform. Now climb up the white-painted ledge and head left. Climb up the wooden scaffoldings and head to the rooftop, then drop inside it (not where the Demonized Officer is, but immediately below the rooftop). Once inside, use the broken platforms to get to it.
The Assault On Wuchao: Found right before a Battle Flag, in the same hallway where you fight against a large humanoid monster.
Let’s Make Our Armor Shine!: From the second Battle Flag, climb up the nearby ladder to get on top of the boat, then continue down the pier on the other side. Here, defeat the solider and then unmoor the raft. Continue along the pier to eventually climb up a ladder and find the marking flag. From there: continue to the very top of this boat to find the Shitieshou.
Decisive Battle of Guandu: Once you get to the last Battle Flag after defeating the first boss: drop down into an area below to find the Shitieshou.
Heirloom Seal of the Realm: At the start of the mission, open the gate and head left. Continue along the street until you can fight a Warlock. Climb up the platform near the Warlock to find an opening. Climb through it, then go to the very end of the other side to find it.
Let’s Make Our Halberds Shine!: Progress through the mission until you get to a village and then go through the village until you see 3 dogs: the Shitieshou will be behind them.

FYI, they pop out items based on the rarity you give, so if you drop them a 4 star you don't want, they'll pop out a new 4 star.

Dropping 9 Jewel Fragments will yield a 4 or if lucky a 5 star accessory. You find your Jewel fragments in your bag under resources Steel/Leather. It's a 3 star item and you get them salvaging items.

I have that feeling that I have all of them, I re-picked the ones I was not sure about. But now I'm stuck at 95% and I am a 100% confident I picked all the others. So it's time for some fun going through all this again...

What I can confirm is that each Shitieshou picked by you or a friend when playing a battlefield online counts for the achievement.

Edit: And to answer the other comment, all flags, items and Shitieshou picked during a playthrough counts for the overall play even if you quit the battlefield mid-map

Not really, it will give an item of at least that rarity. Dropping a 3* gives a 4* surprisingly often, and can even give 5* if you're lucky.

in short. I solved the problem, maybe it will help someone, I still had to collect 3 achievements and until I collected them, this achievement did not move, after collecting the tablets and cicadas, the achievement decreased from 95% to 91% and knowing about which pandas I lacked, I went to feed them,after the first panda, the achievement again showed 95%, it turns out, I had one more panda left, and when I found it, the achivnent fell out.And, most importantly, I noticed one bug, if you fed a panda and then used the battle flag to replenish your health, be sure to check the panda, she should sleep after she ate your thing, but if she does not sleep again and you can feed her a thing, then you have a bug and how many would you have them they were not fed, they will not be counted, try restarting the game or the console.In this way, you can understand the bug or not.And if the panda sleeps after the flag, then look for the missing one.Good luck.

I’m having the same issue expressed above, with the achievement being stuck at 95%. I started going through all of the shitieshou again, and I found what another user here mentioned, that being that one of the shitieshou don’t stay asleep after you use a battle flag.

Specifically, in the level “Fate of the Entertainer (part 4)” you can keep feeding the critter over and over again by resting at the nearby Battle Flag (number 2). I believe this is the bug that is stopping the achievement from unlocking - if anyone else facing the same issue can test on his/her save I’d appreciate it.

Anybody know if the shitieshou that the hermit is holding in the area in your village where they go after you feed them is part of your total count? If so, I am counting 23 in my village and no achievement.....

Edit: The one he is holding does not count towards your total...I was missing the one in the Sub Battlefield "Let's Make Our Halberds Shine". After feeding that one, the achievement popped and I have 24 shitieshous in my village including the one the hermit is holding.

They aren't traceable by position like that (although that would have been much better). It's purely by number, so that only really tells you that you're missing the last one but not it's location

I think 5* items only start dropping after having completed the game and started NG+ (Rising dragon difficulty). I would guess that the chance of higher quality items from Shitieshou are likely related to your luck stat too.

Just click on "Use Template" and you can add a copy to your own google drive.

If you are looking for just the Shiteshous, you can filter by collectible type. When you are at these little panda dudes you need to drop an item and wait for them to eat it, then spit out a new item for you. Make sure you "drop" the item and don't "destroy" it.

If you find any issues with the spreadsheet please let me know and I will try to keep it up to date!

There are 23 Shitieshou in the game to feed. To feed them go to your inventory, select a weapon or armor, then go down to drop and drop the item near the Shitieshou. Wait a few seconds and the Shitieshou will eat it and spit out a relic for you to grab

There are 13 in Main Missions & 10 in Sub Battlefields. If you miss one you can replay any battlefield by fast traveling from any battle flag.

Unfortunately there is no in game menu option to track which ones you've fed so I suggest using a word document or pen & paper to track which ones you've fed.

This is my first Collectibles video and I hope it helps. The video shows all shitieshou locations in order, starting with the 13 in main missions and then the 10 in sub battlefields all from the nearest battle flag in that mission.

Shitieshou are adorable little panda demons that can be found throughout the game. If you feed them a piece of equipment by dropping it from your inventory directly in front of them, they will reward you with an item and then be transported to Mt. Tianzshushan once you leave the mission. There are a total of 23 to find in the game. All of them are pointed out in the walkthrough linked in the Road Map, you can use this guide which is dedicated specifically to our little panda demons, or follow the video below.

After the last update, statistics on collected items were added. In the “travel” menu, where you select levels, at the bottom left where the number of flags is indicated, it now displays whether you have found this or that collection table, including Shiteshu.

I recommend going through the guide right away, because there are a couple of problems that can complicate catching Shiteshu after completing all the missions:
1. There are no statistics in the game about whether Shiteshu was found in a location or not
2. Even if you have already found the right Shitesh at the location, if you start the mission again, he will still sit and wait, as if you never fed him. As a result, I had to run through many missions again and look for the one that I had not yet fed. Fortunately, on PS5 you can track the trophy and you can see there if you have found the right one (the number increases).
