How to unlock the Hunting the Great Deer achievement in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Definitive Guide
To "dominate a battlefield" just means to beat it, you don't have to find all flags or do anything special. Just beat the level and it counts as "dominated".
There are 46 total main and sub battlefields, with additional sub battlefields unlocking continuously along the way. There will also eventually be a few in the village area which might be easy to miss.
You can check your progress under the Title "Ruler of the Crouching dragon" under "Fame of Expert" which will tell you how many you've done.

Has anyone else ever had an achievement re-lock. I swear on everything unless I'm losing my mind I had this unlocked and I was looking for my last panda for my last achievement for 100% then suddenly this crap was back on my locked list. I remember it unlocking. I have all 46 battlefields complete so I might be screwed on this one. I'm so f pissed. Of 15 years of achievements I've never had one re-lock itself, never even heard of that happening.

I hit a few "walls"...the first boss, of course, the G Virus Cow gave me a few more ko's than I wanted...Lu Bu was the hardest, and the final boss took me about 45 mins...
But I will be damned if I can figure out how I'm supposed to beat the Crouching Dragon's Trial and beat the "last level" to get this. G Virus Cow is dropping me in one or two hits...

Wo Long consists of 46 total quests, broken down into 16 main quests and 30 side quests. Each quest is called a "battlefield" and you simply need to progress through the level until you defeat a target. The main missions will have the larger, more difficult bosses while the side quests usually have just a strong human enemy or retread of an older mid-level boss. None of the quests are missable, and the side-quests can be done in any order or ignored completely until you do the main quest, but to keep up the recommended level for the main quest, you'll likely need to do all the side-quests along the way anyway. Be sure to use this walkthrough for any help you may need, as well as grabbing all the collectibles and optional achievements along the way.

I don’t know if it was a bug or a mechanic of the achievement, but after completing all the battlefields it didn’t drop for me (Xbox Series X). When I went to check if I had missed anything, I discovered that I had not placed one mark on one of the additional battlefields. I replayed it, betting everything, and the achievement was unlocked.
