How to unlock the Well-read achievement in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Definitive Guide

You need 31 tablets/notes to get this achievement.

To check which ones you already have, you can always check back under INVENTORY -> KEY-ITEMS.
They should be listet in reversed order of aquisition (oldes on bottom, newest on top).

Just compare them with this list, also displaying the timestamps for the video.

Edit: You need to do another achievement before you can complete this one. The Last tablet spawns after you collected all the cicada chells and handed them over. RELOAD THE AREA (by fast travel somewhere and travel back or change to NG+) and pick it up. (Thanks to WhyattThrash for mentioning that) it!

The most important info is that the last tablet isn't found in any level, it's a reward given after completing a specific side quest

Same here, I have all 31 but the achievement didn't unlock. I tried deleting my data and doing a hard reset but no luck.

I suggest getting all 20 cicadas first and getting the tablet in the village and do not save it for your last tablet. I saved that tablet for last and the achievement didn't pop for me when I picked it up.

If you are stuck at 96% restart the console a could of times and/or reset your system cache.
You can also wait a day or two and achievements might unlock. At least for me two days waiting fixed it.

Been 2 days and the achievement still hasn't popped, deleted the console save and loaded cloud save, cleared cache and nothing works. The achievement is bugged if you grab the one from collecting the cicadas last.

It unlocked fine for me with the cicada tablet being the last one. I think the game just has general tracking issues where achievements might just not update or unlock, it doesn’t matter which tablet is your last.

Gave the Cicada Shell to the Hermit for the last tablet and no tablet appeared. Tried completing another battlefield to see if it reset. Still nothing. So frustrating needing one achievement to link to another for game completion.

If the tablet for the shells didn’t appear, you can load up the hermit village on the NG+ section and it should appear. Problem is that it still doesn’t pop the achievement.

For cicada boi to drop the tablet; give him the last shell, go to the flag and reload the area, go talk to him again, reload the area again and the tablet will appear.

***Update*** - I tried @Maverick WV idea of changing difficulties and loading up the Hidden Village. When I went to the Hermits location on top of the tower the tablet was waiting for me. I collected it and it popped the achievement at long last. I hope this works for others!

Going to travel map, tapping Y to change difficulty, then going to Hidden Village worked for me. The guy wasn't there but the final tablet was and I got the achievement. Thanks for the tip 🙂👍

With the latest update, I can see I have every tablet except the one in the hidden village. I have completed the golden cicada quest and even picked up the tablet in the hidden village but it is not registering as acquired. I then reloaded the hidden village by doing the Y button to change difficulty and that still did not work. Lastly I have just uninstalled and reinstalled and still no luck. Guess this is going to be unobtainable for me.

Going to the travel and changing difficulties popped the achievement for me too. Went back up to the hermits tower and he was finally gone with the tablet pickup there. Thanks to @Maverick WV for the tip.

I thought it glitched on me too (at least the hermit didn't give the tablet right away), but after counting my inventory I was missing the Pining Woman behind the shack (#30). After I got that it popped right away. Hopefully that helps someone.

Just to confirm, the new update to the1.06v has fixed the achievement for me, Just complete a mission and the achievement will pop-up if you got everything already.

Unfortunately, I'm on version 1.09 XSX and not unlocking. Had to do the retravel to the village, then the supposed last one indeed spawned, bu still not unlocking. Now the guy is gone and percentage is at 96%.
Already tried beating a previous battlefield to no avail.
Sucks because I really love the game, and I have a couple achievents to beat, but lost the drive since I ha e this bugged.

Taoist did not disappear and leave the last tablet initially. Left the village and re-completed the Wizardary Spell Mastery quest. Then returned to the village and got both the tablet and the achievement.

@Hysterical I dont have another workaround. For other games a normal ptach might fix it, but such patches might take a while. Normaly the avhievements pop once you start after the patch came out/is downloaded.

Even if you handed over all the cicada shells, the taoist doesn't disappear and leave the last tablet. You can try these two methods once, to force the tablet to appear at his place.

Method 1 - After handing over the last shell, You can simply travel back to the hidden village and check to see if the tablet appeared at his place (or)
Method 2 - After completing the Main game, NG+ difficulty unlocks. Go to the travel menu and change to NG+ difficulty (Rising Dragon) by pressing Y button. Now load the hidden village again and go to his place. The last tablet should spawn.

Method 2 worked for me.

If you are looking for just the tablets, you can filter by collectible type. If you are unsure which tablets you already have collected you can see them in your inventory under Key Items.

Like me, for some people, the last tablet in the hidden village doesn't spawn after handing over the last golden cicada shell. Even if you handed over all the cicada shells, the taoist doesn't disappear and leave the last tablet. You can try these two methods once, to force the tablet to appear at his place.

Tablets are essentially a lore collectible that can be found inside missions, and there are 31 total to collect for this achievement. They present as a larger glowing object, similar to any other item pickup. Refer to the walkthrough listed in the Road Map for all their locations, use this guide which has a dedicated listing for just this collectible type, or follow the video below if you prefer that route.

If you missed something, but don’t know what exactly, change the language in the game to English through the main menu and filter it out in your inventory by name. The language in the game changes only on the main screen.

The tablets can be assembled without guides, except for the last one. You can get it from a golden cicada lover. When he eats them all, you need to come to him several times, after which he will “no longer be”, and in his place this tablet will lie in the form of a drop.
