How to unlock the Max all Perks achievement in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - Definitive Guide

This achievement requires you to complete a number of challenges to unlock minor upgrades. Each perk has five "levels" to it, and you have to complete all five levels to max that perk (for instance, the game says you need to get 10 stealth takedowns at first, but you actually need 50). There are also three perks that you can't work towards until you have the necessary contraptions (these initially show up as question marks).

Here's a full list for those who want it:


You'll likely get the majority of these through natural play, as long as you keep mixing up your playstyle (especially when you start working on the Killboard), though there are a few you'll likely have to go out of your way to grind out (in my case, I had to grind out grenade kills).

That said, there were a few of these I had to look for a specific place to grind out: Constrictor Harness Kills and Enemy Grenade Kills. Luckily, I found good places to do both of them.

Constrictor Harness Kills can be gained in the Manhattan Bunker District (the same place you get the harness if you didn't choose it as part of the story). Shortly after you get it, go into the vent where the Übercommander is (there will be one other soldier in there with him), and come out where they can't immediately see you. I'd recommend making a save point right here. Fire an unsilenced weapon at the ground, then get back in the vent. The soldier will walk over to where you were and you can easily take him down. Do that five times and the perk is yours.


Enemy Grenade Kills can be gained in the Manhattan Ruins District. Go to the spot in the video below (killing as few enemies as possible), and hide next to the car, and save. There should be 4-5 enemies on the hill nearby. Position yourself so that the enemies can shoot at you, but not actually hit you. This will force their AI to throw a grenade. When you see them about to throw one, move forward and start mashing cn_X to throw it back. If they don't run away, you should get at least one kill from that. It only took me a few reloaded saves to max this one out. Here's the video of me doing this:

Can't get my soldiers to toss any grenades. They're just taking pot shots. And even when they do, they keep running away when i toss it back.

@NuttySandman123 One of the Venus missions (I don't remember which, but I think it's Living Quarters) has a bunch of big, explodable balls lying around, you might try there.

Yeah Weird the large red orbs on Venus didn't work for me when doing districts but definitely did while playing campaign since that's how I got most of them.

Also for the electrical stun kills I'm guessing if u just had the stun nade upgrade itd work on any enemy but if you fully upgraded it like me before doing this challenge you throw them at the flying drones to easily get it. Figured that out accidentally while doing the the throwback enemy nades spot it hit a drone.

Found this ruins location to the right of spawn. Against the building across what used to be a street. Get rid of the robots & the heavy. Some flankers on the right will toss grenades also. Easier to get to than the bus alternatives.

The grenade spot worked a treat, was lucky to get two enemies stood next to each other. After mashing X I double tapped A to stand on the battle walker stilts and then quickly saved the game before the grenade went off. Thanks to Heraizen for his tip in the comments about combining the battle walker kills.

If anyone is having trouble with the enemies running away from your grenade after you throw it back, if you shoot them with a pistol right after they throw the grenade it will stagger them long enough that they won’t be able to run away in time

Another tip for grenade kills and battle walker kills, you can combine these together. Throw a grenade and save just before it explodes to farm these quickly.

If it helps anyone I had to clean up environmental and found there were plenty of fire extinguishers/gas canisters in narrow hallways on Manhattan Bunker on your way to farm Constrictor kills. The large red orbs on Venus never gave me ticks, maybe because it always lit them on fire.

off the top of my head no, i used my nade with the electro upgrade, through it at robots, ran up and hatched them. Actually if you stock up on nades(from the penthouse) and go to the last district, Riverside, there are alot of robots there to stun and kill. hope it helps

Riverside , after you crawl through the first vent , shoot to alert the walking robot then another 4 or five come running into the room and gather together . Some are killed instantly with the electro grenade the others you can shoot as they are stunned , done in a few mins

I made a save while waiting for a grenade to fly by. Once I threw it back, I immediately made a different save before the grenade exploded. If it killed someone, just reload the save and it will do it again.

I basically reloaded a save ten times and watched the counter go up each time.

Awesome spot and saving before it explodes is a great tip. By a total fluke my returned nade throw killed two enemies so I only had to reload the save five times.

The best place to farm environment kills after the game is to load the Transporthalle district. Right at the very beginning, run along the pipes and save when you get to the end. Then jump down onto the platform where two enemies will be walking out right next to a red explosive barrel. Shoot the barrel while they're walking by, then reload your save. Rinse and repeat.

This is just an easy and TOTALLY safe way to farm Enigma Codes and Quick Commander Kill.

Use the War Map to go back to Roswell Downtown..

You will have to do it a second time if you haven't got his Death Card yet.

Follow the guide till you get behind the commander, make a save. Now kill the commander and take the enigma card. Reload and repeat as much as you need.

Electrical Stun Kills...

Load up ubercommader mission Manhattan Ruins, there are 2 flying robots at the beginning after you kill the 2 guys to the right....drop down make sure the grenades are electric only, use the grenades to kill both of them, if the grenade knocks the robot to the ground, shooting it while its down counts!! Reload the auto save and repeat 4 more times, easy peezie!!!

A good farm location for environmental kills is right at the beginning of the game. While in the wheelchair, after coming up the elevator, you will turn a corner and see some soldiers fire at you from behind a window. Wait a moment until they head to the right then fire on the visible electricity and you will get several kills. Reload and rinse and repeat. headspin

In order to obtain this achievement, you will need to reach the max level with all eighteen perks in the game. Take note that each perk has five levels to it. Upon completing the fifth level of a perk, you will then have maxed it out.

The perks are split into three distinct playstyles: Stealth, Mayhem, and Tactical. It's worth noting here that the sixth perk of each tree (the contraption perk) is locked until that contraption is obtained during your playthrough. What's more, while you may make natural progress towards some of these perks over the course of your playthrough, every single one of them can be grinded out post-story by revisiting districts via the War Map aboard Eva's Hammer.

If some further guidance is required on how to unlock some of the harder perks - including one overall key tip - please refer below.

Additional Tips:

  • You can create a manual save during the animation of a kill and grind out the perk very, very quickly this way. For example, if you throw a grenade at a group of three enemies, save your game just before the grenade explodes. Once the grenade goes off and kills the three enemies, reload your save. When the game loads back up, the grenade will be in the process of exploding, thus reducing the need to set this up again. This is a very useful tip for the following perks: Takedowns (on robotic enemies), Constrictor Harness Kills, Grenade Kills, Election Stun Kills, and Enemy Grenade Kills.
  • For Quick Commander Kills and Enigma Codes, make a manual save while standing behind a secluded Commander. Kill him, collect his code, reload your save, and continue the grind.
  • For Ram Shackle Kills, sprint head-on into an unarmored enemy and then make a save once they get back up. Now sprint into him again, which will obliterate his body. Reload the save and continue the grind.
  • For Environmental Kills, make a manual save once you fall onto the conveyor belts during the Transporthalle District of Venus. While you are riding the conveyor belt, there will be four enemies standing on the catwalks all around you with oil drums conveniently placed beside them. Shoot at each oil drum as you pass by to net yourself four environmental kills before reloading your save and continuing the grind.
  • For Electrical Stun Kills, find one of the robot-like enemies in their "standby" state. Make sure you have the electromagnetic upgrade to the Handgrenate. Now toss a Handgrenate at the robot. When it's stunned, quickly make a manual save and then kill the bot with any weapon. Now reload your save and continue the grind.
  • For Enemy Grenade Kills, revisit the Ruins District of Manhattan. Once the mission opens up, run past the two enemies straight ahead and jump down into the ruined street, making a beeline north towards a turned over vehicle/debris. Sit here and eventually one of the Nazis will toss a grenade your way. Pick it up, toss is back, and create a manual save. When the grenade explodes and kills the enemy, reload your save to continue the grind.

Once all eighteen perks have been maxed out, this achievement will unlock.

The two soldiers at the very beginning of Manhattan Bunker District are good targets to get:

50 Stealth Takedowns
50 Thrown Hatchet Kills

There are also grenades available on the wall behind the first soldier. Activate the Battle Walker when tossing grenades to kill the first two soldiers and the few that enter the room after the first grenade detonates to work on:

125 Grenade Kills
100 Battle Walker Kills

There was a problem with the “killing enemy grenades” perk. Nobody abandoned them anywhere at all, even if they left one or two enemies in the same room and provoked them. Played on "I'm Creepy Billy" difficulty. I found only one place for boosting - Manhattan, a destroyed area. We switch the difficulty to low (I took the second one on the list), at the very beginning we noisily kill 2 Nazis, if there is a super soldier below, we kill him too, he will interfere. We wait a little while the enemies gather below, we fall down and run to the right, where the turret is located next to the car. We crouch behind the car and wait for the grenade. I scored the required number of kills from scratch in 5 minutes.

Killing with enemy grenades is easily scored in court. As soon as we gain control, we run to the left behind the boxes (in front of the closed door) and hide. Almost certainly the first enemy from the stands will throw a grenade. Well, in the first 2-3 minutes it is guaranteed to fly in from the direction of the hall.

Easy to do in the Penthouse area. We kill the soldiers and the commandant on the top floor, wait for reinforcements. He stood near the right staircase at the very bottom. One soldier consistently throws a grenade, BUT! when you throw a grenade at him, he does not die. As soon as we see that he throws a grenade, we save. After loading the save, you need to shoot him in the body 3 times and quickly throw away the grenade. Done in 5 minutes. Just kills with grenades also count, and you can immediately farm kills with surrounding objects.

If you have problems obtaining the skill Killing enemy grenades , then here is a proven method for you. We leave one enemy in the room and force him to throw a grenade at you (we run around the room away from him, sit down and with some probability he will throw a grenade at you). It is advisable to look at him at the moment when he throws a grenade at you.
After which you must take the following steps:
1. We saw that the enemy was throwing a grenade, we made a save.
2. We are trying to intercept the grenade (when throwing you will have the opportunity to throw it back, you need to press )

When you look for the last chief commandant in New Orleans, there will be an opening. Then everything is simple, we raise the alarm, run into this opening and wait, there is a 60 percent chance that a grenade will be thrown at you there. Yesterday I knocked out the entire skill in about 5 minutes.

Story mission in New Orleans, almost the very end. A Fritz is standing on one of the stairs and as soon as he sees Bijay he throws a grenade. Always in the same place. The main thing is to learn to throw a grenade back when it hits him, otherwise you will have time to run away.

Killing the enemy with a grenade was done at the moment when we are in the first chapter, dumping it back to our friends on the submarine, there will be a large hall where we first come across a creep with laser guns, kill him, take the fluff, drill a hole in the wall where a crowd of dummies is waiting for us and the same creepy guy, we demolish it, and then we wait until they throw grena at us, save, throw grena and so on until the required amount.
