How to unlock the AR magazine + achievement in Wolfenstein: The New Order - Definitive Guide

Perk Requirements: 80 Kills with the Assault Rifle from cover.
Special notes: THIS CAN BE DONE EASILY BY RELOADING A CHECKPOINT OVER AND OVER

This is a rather easy challenge, you just need to stand/crouch behind something and when you see an arrow on the outside of the crosshairs, press cn_LT to peek out/over and kill surrounding enemies. This counts as being in cover.

You have to be using a different control scheme, dude. Because by default cn_LT is Aim Down Sights, which means it is also lean around a corner, because after leaning you aim down the sights. I really doubt I would have so many positive votes if my solution told people the wrong button.

Changed my wording. as in my own experience, this was a much easier way. There are plenty of moments that putting yourself against the wall/corner turn and peeking around and then unloading was a good way to score the most kills. Then it made for an easy spot to farm because you would usually checkpoint right there near that same turn.

I found the Gibraltar Bridge level the best for grinding out this achievement especially this area

Ive done this now on 3 seperate saves ive made sure to unlock perks in order as heard that may cause issues aswell but still hasnt unlocked has anyone got any other ideas ? Thanks

Actually, leaning is done by pressing cn_LB. When you hit cn_LT, you aim down the sights, if it so happens you're around a corner, Blazko will automatically lean at the same time. I personally found that very annoying and I hated when he did this. At the very least, update the solution because BigPapa is totally right on this.

Chapter 15 - Under Attack.

Assuming everybody starts with an assault rifle at the beginning of this level, you can use the car for cover and kill 6 enemies before reloading checkpoint,

4 soldiers and 2 drones are in the 1st area, 2 soldiers then 2 drones then 2 soldiers again.

Rinse & repeat until your 80 kills are confirmed.

This perk requires you to get 80 kills with the assault rifle while leaning (cn_LB + cn_LSc) out of cover. This can easily be done within normal story progress, but if you have some kills left or want to get this out of yor way as fast as possible, there is a good spot on chapter 2 - asylum.

After you cleared the floor you started on, use the staircase to go down one floor. Kill the remaining bad guys and proceed into the room, where you have to push a button to open some doors. Crouch immediately and lean up to kill the fist guy. Stay crouched and leave the room. Go right immediately after the doorway and crouch behind the little bookshelf. Lean up and kill everything that comes towards you. Sometimes, the second wave needs to be triggered by leaving your cover and run a little bit towards the hall, go back behind your cover and clear the area.

You can get 7 kills here within a minute. Reloading the checkpoint will set you back just before you have to push the button, rinse and repeat.

The sixth tactical perk is AR Magazine+. This perk will increase the magazine size of any assault rifle. 

In order to unlock this perk, you must perform the following requirement at anytime during the Campaign:

  • Obtain 80 kills from cover while using an assault rifle (primary fire)

TIP: This is another very self-explanatory requirement. While using the assault rifle, simply position yourself behind cover and use the lean feature in order to obtain the required amount of kills from behind cover.

The sixth tactical perk is AR Magazine+. This perk will increase the magazine size of any assault rifle. 

In order to unlock this perk, you must perform the following requirement at anytime during the Campaign:

  • Obtain 80 kills from cover while using an assault rifle (primary fire)

Tactical perk 6 is AR magazine + and is unlocked by performing 80 kills from behind cover using your assault rifle, you should unlock this trophy/perk by normally playing though the game.

The AR is the most common weapon in the game so ammo is abundant. The AR is also a very good all around weapon. You can "double up" working on perks by dual-wielding your ARs while killing enemies from behind cover; doing so will also help you unlock the Dual-wield expert trophy/perk as you need Dual-wielding kills.

AR magazine + give you a bronze throphy (10p on xbox) and a tactical perk in the game. It is unlocked by getting 80 kills from cover using the handgun.

This can be done by nearly anywhere in the game and there are countless opportunities. For example, in chapter 3, Oderbruche checkpoint, there are six enemies at the beginning of the checkpoint and of course you can restart it as many as you want.

To get the specific kill, take a cover behind a pillar, any chest high wall or crate, hold L1 (LB on xbox) and use the LS (L) to lean out and R2 (RT) to fire.

If you choose to get this trhophy with a double fire mode AR (i.e. the 1946 AR) remeber to select the fire correctly.

Destroy 80 enemies with a machine gun (main mode) using cover

Easy to do in the second chapter on the easiest difficulty level, press against the wall, press and begin to fire in this position at the enemy If 80 is not enough, feel free to press the last checkpoint, the kills will not be reset!
