How to unlock the Power to the laser achievement in Wolfenstein: The New Order - Definitive Guide

You will get this achievement for finding the "Laserkraftwerk".

This is Story-related and cannot be missed.

At a certain point in the game you'll find yourself locked in a lab. To get out of there you have to get the "Laserkraftwerk" out of a big glass-container.

All you have to do is press the button at the side of it, then move on top of the glass-container (or on the side of the button surrounding) and cut those chains with your Laser-cutter. After that press the button again and the "Laserkraftwerk" will cut a big hole in the Container. Get in the Container and take the "Laserkraftwerk" to get your achievement.

can I ask you why you add that sentence to the end of your solutions? People who create solutions always want to help (even those who add crappy solutions) and if you dont care how people vote then I - honestly - dont get it why this is necessary. Well, it is not. Will vote positive though, because the solution itself is OK.

Good question mate. I will remove this. I've done that after the first Solutions that I wrote because there were a few things that pissed me off on this site. I actually think that there schould not be an option to downvote something. And I don't think that everybody here wants to help. There are always a few black sheeps and show offs out there.
But thank you for your positive vote and your opinion on that.

yeah its been ages since i did it and the achievement still hasn't popped? its bugging me because its definitely a game i'll 100%, and it'll annoy the crap out of me being at 99% haha

i have since spoken with xbox support and they troubleshooted everything with me, they seem to think its a problem that bethesda themselves can fix? we'll see..

Thx for the info locke!! I hope they'll do something about this. Seems that only a few Gamers were affected by this glitch when the game came out but now the comments on this increase.

i've had a reply from bethesda and SURPRISE SURPRISE they are saying its microsofts' problems, so basically im stuck with 5 achievements not unlocking and 2 companies blaming eachother, safe to say its not being sorted soon guys haha shock

id love to know whats going on! its putting me off trying to 100% the game at the moment, luckily i got the achievements for finishing the game as i've heard people were not getting those either!

Hey Folks! All your glitched achievements should have popped yesterday or at least be in your list now. My DR3 achievement didn't pop up but I got it in my list. @locke170691 as I saw in your list you finally have your missing cheevos. I#m so happy that they solved this Problem. We can finally continue to enjoy our X1!!

Did you do everything related to the laserkraftwerk? This game was very buggy but the patches should have fixed those issues.

Hi DarkMount! Last time this was an issue with the Microsoft servers. We know that MS had massive problems on all their services this week. I know it sucks but please try again when MS has solved everything. Cheers mate!

Same problem, went through the whole game without getting 4 achieves, first time I've encountered this. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Microsoft had massive issues yesterday. I know because the TA scanners showed a message while scanning.
I‘m sorry to say that I haven’t found a workaround yet. It‘s still not clear why those achievements bug out. We only know that MS issues are always a problem but this also happened while everything worked normal on the MS side.

And I’m really pissed that Bethesda does not patch the game. Those problems are well known and people still play the game.

The achievement is unlocked in your list - so maybe you just didn't got the unlocking message (this happens from time to time on the X1).

Hey locke! Tha's so weird. Your achievement Progress for Power to the laser is on 100% but the achievement has not unlocked. I have the exact same Problem with a DLC achievement in Dead Rising 3. I think this must be an issue with xbox live or so - they had Problems yesterday. If you get any info on thios issue please tell me - as I will when I get some News.

News: Just had a chat with our Xbox support here in Austria. The girl said that this has to do with their latest Server maintenance. It should be fixed maybe at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. They are working on it.
Now the most important info: Our missing achievements should unlock as soon as those issues are fixed. You should disconnect your X1 from power and Internet from time to time to perform a complete restart.

So all we can do is wait a Little longer and hope that this will fix it. If this is not working until tuesday I will contact the support again.

Story related, cannot be missed.

During Chapter 6, London Nautica, you will eventually come to a small laboratory that houses the Laserkraftwerk (LKW). After the cutscene in this lab concludes, hop on top of the control panel outside the LKW's testing unit and use the Laser Cutter to cut the two chains that are holding up the testing palate inside the unit. 

After the chains drop, power up the LKW via the control panel and it will cut a hole in the side of the unit. Now you can climb through and retrieve the energy weapon, in turn unlocking the achievement.
