How to unlock the Über hero achievement in Wolfenstein: The New Order - Definitive Guide

I can 100% confirm that you can replay the last level on Uber and unlock all difficulty achievements. I played on easy all the way up to Chapter 15 and then switched to Uber on Chapter 16. I beat the game and it did NOT give me the Uber achievement. So I decided to "replay" Chapter 16 from the Chapters menu and when I completed it a second time, it unlocked both Uber and Super Hero achievements.

So if you want to do this, make sure to just play on whatever difficulty you want, beat the game, and then replay the last level on Uber using the Chapters menu.

** Update **
According to players, this method still works as of November 2nd, 2022

****** Update 2 ******
Since it has been almost 8 years since this solution was written by me, my solution has never been patched and I'm 99.9% positive they never will patch it. With that said, I'm no longer updating the solution with dates. I appreciate all of you over the last 8 years posting/updating that it still works. I will only update this solution if this were to get patched and not work anymore. Thanks again to all of you achievement hunters and keep hunting!

Going to try this tonight... I've been playing on Uber this whole time lol. I know these are separate achievements, but can you confirm something for me? Are Hidden in the deep, London uprising, and Deliverance story related? I'm also trying to get Shotgun magazine +, but I can't seem to find the weapon upgrade.

By ConchieJoe on 21 May 2014 17:14
Those 3 achievements are all story related, so no worries on them. The shotgun mod unlocks on either chapter 10 or 11 at the very beginning of the level. You can just kill people with the shrapnel ricochet shots and then reload checkpoint to farm kills for your perk unlock. Very easy and quick :)

Can you also confirm that switching difficulty does not erase perk and collectible progress?
0
0
By Kongo Dragon on 21 May 2014 18:46
You can switch difficulty at any time or replay any level with any and all unlocked perks you have. Collectibles are saved the second you pick them up which means if you die after picking a collectible up but didn't get to a new checkpoint, that collectible is still collected/saved. If you need proof, simply find a collectible, pick it up, verify it in the collectible screen, then die or reload checkpoint, and then check your collectible screen to see it collected.

Changing difficulty at any time has no negative impact on perk progression or collectible progression. That is what I was trying to say :)

can anyone confirm if beating the game in 999 mode will unlock this trophy? I know this solutions probably easier but I feel like abit of a challenge and 999 mode sounds awesome.

By LostMantella9 on 22 May 2014 05:52
To answer my own question, I can confirm you WILL get the uber difficultly trophy by beating 999 mode, Which is an absolute cake walk I might add. I swear it was easier beating the game in 999 mode then it was on normal, even almost easier then "can I play, daddy" difficulty, if you're having trouble beating the last level on uber, I strongly recommend 999 mode, took me only 3-4 hours to speedrun through.
PS. I Don't have the update installed! dunno if it makes a difference

Noble says stuff like that in the comments on several games. But if you take a look at his profile, you'll see he's not much of a gamer himself. 175 games played and only 19 of them are complete with 50% completion overall. Just ignore him, he's obviously upset because he rarely completes anything and when he does he feels the need to brag about it.

Anyway, I'm going to give 999 Mode a try today. It sounds like the best option.

^ lol I'm more of an online player, battlefield and call of duty mostly, oh yeah and I rarely ever boost games.

I'm not even upset just don't see the need to cheat at games by using glitches , yep I'll brag when I finish my uber play through probably only be one of 10 gamers to do so

How many of those completions on that list of your's were boosted!? Say's I'm not a gamer lol boosted the shit out of most of his list no wonder he needs to glitch just to finish those single player games he can't boost.... Crazy man lol

There always has to be that one person who says, "Oh I'm a better player/person because I play the game a specific way." Guess what? Nobody cares. You spend your $60 the way you want to and others will do the same thing. Go boost your ego to noobs who care about your 82K gamerscore for an "online" gamer.

@ Hunter XBA. You can turn your console off and it will still load the greenish tinted menu when you turn it on again. I had mine completely powered down and it still loaded the bonus screen when I started again. However I don't think you can choose Exit Bonus Mode or you will lose progress. Hope this helps.

So i just got it to pop by starting chapter 16 on Uber, switching to easy after swimming to the compound, then switching back to Uber just before the final knifing action, if you're having a tough time getting thru the level. I'm guessing this will be patched soon.

@phantomSiren i'm not saying i'm better than anyone, i am more of an online gamer ( according to raptr 2200+ hours ,500 or so on blops 2 than a completionist.

Not sure what my GS has to do with it oh well i digress

All i said is it need's patched as it affect's the Ta and Ratio's no doubt they would be higher if this glitch wasn't present, but hey pop it how you want :)

Not voted btw as i don't vote on glitchy solution's even though it's obviously working.

999 mode is a blast. I just completed it. You can shut your console and it will save your progress. Just don't choose to leave bonus mode. The game is fun on 999 mode cause you can go guns blazing. And the final boss is easy. I don't think they would patch playing through on 999 mode because your still playing on uber difficulty. The enemies are still tougher. You just have unlimited ammo and start with 999 health.

So I finished the campaign. Reloaded Ch. 16 on Uber, changed it to Daddy Can I Play a good way thru the mission. At the final boss, I hit the enemy until it kneeled. Once this happened, I pressed pause, changed it back to Uber, and pressed X to trigger the final cutscene... NO achievement for me! :(

It's probably just Xbox live. Sometimes achievements won't pop for a few days but when they do it'll have the proper date and time of unlock. Same thing happened for me but for this achievement rather than the superhero one. Hopefully it pops soon, want that 100%
I also had this happen with a Dead Rising 3 achievement which popped about a week late.

As of today it still works but even easier than you suggest. You start the level as you mention on uber. The moment you have control of your character switch to the difficulty you want and complete the level. Achievement still pops for uber at the end even if playing on easiest. If you start game on uber and do the same, by the time you reach the end it pops then as well

yes 100% still works playing only chapter 16 uber

For the second part I also only had top 100 health and 8 rockets ammo before going down, so collect health the more the better I used 5 telsa nades and only used them if health went below 80 and kept running around sliding past the flames and collecting all health and ammo and armor

stay far the other side the room I found and i am sure the health respawns or he drops some when you have hit him so keep moving end to end and used the LKW 3 times

As of 11/30/2015... There's no need to even play the last level on Uber. I started a new game on Uber difficulty from the main menu, then switched to the easiest difficulty (Can I Play, Daddy?) on Chapter 2 within the in-game menu. I proceeded to play through on to the last mission and beat Deathshead and completed the game, after which the achievement unlocked, without ever having to switch back to Uber at all.

Still works as of Jan 3, 2018. It didn't pop at first so I replayed the last checkpoint, which is the second part of the final boss fight, and let the credits roll completely without skipping and it finally popped when it got back to the main menu. So if it doesn't pop right away you might want to try that as well. Glad this worked!

You probably don't need my update but still. Just replayed the last mission on Uber (Jan 11, 2017) difficulty and it still works. The hiding behind the walkway on the second phase (as shown in a different solution) works fantastically as well. Put everything together and you get a very doable achievement.

Can confirm, still works 3/24/19.

Pro tips for last level: use LKW everywhere (never a place you can't hide and wait for recharge), use stair trick mentioned in other solutions, overcharge tons for final stage (collected all the leftovers and got up to ~420 health before dropping down the hole).

Guys, you dont have to replay the whole mission. Once you beat the game, you can chapter select mission 16. Start on Uber, change down the difficulty as the level starts, defeat Deathshead on easy and change back up to Uber right before you interact to finish him. I can confirm that on april 2020.

Completely agree with Just JMann, though not sure why he posted this as a comment instead of as a new solution. 999 mode was a blast, plus I got to see the alternate storyline with choosing to save Fergus this time instead of Wyatt. Not much different, but I enjoyed the game a lot and it was fun to run through again anyway.

If anybody finds shooters really tough like me, you can do this on 999 mode you unlock from the enigma codes. You have to play from the start but 999 mode is absolutely p!SS easy.... It's automatically set on Uber but with 999 health. The health slowly declines but if you die you start again from the checkpoint with 999 again!! I just couldn't beat the boss on Uber with regular health

Normally when you first click to install a game, if the game has a patch, that will be the very first thing that displays on your tv is "Wolfenstein needs an update - the size of this update is around _____ ." I don't know with the new Xbox One System Update if they disabled that prompt and now just automatically downloads any patches ... maybe someone else has more info on it.

Was able to get this achievement by just replaying the last level on Uber. So it's still working as of 8/15. If anyone's not getting achievements, Xbox Live has been having issues with achievements. They claim the achievements will eventually pop if you've earned them.

By Shafnitz on 16 Aug 2014 00:11
Possible update to an easier way to get the achievement. I got this on 30th September.

I started this game on 27th May on the hardest setting. After doin the first 5-6 levels I heard of this glitch so changed difficulty to easy at that point.

I then finally completed it today (yes it takes me ages to finish games now). When I finished the last level whilst still on easy all the achievements popped.

This would suggest if you start a new game on the hardest setting. Then at some point lower the difficulty it doesn't register that the difficulty is lowered and you get all achievements.

So if you haven't started the game I would suggest start on hardest setting. Play 1 level maybe (or to first checkpoint?). Then change to easy and complete the game.

I just got "Superhero" and "Über hero" after replaying the last mission and beating Deathshead on Can I play Daddy difficulty...

I had to get the last few collectibles needed, so I started off on Über difficulty. After a few deaths while trying to sprint past enemies to grab collectibles, I just decided to play the level on Easy and come back to play it again on hard. After beating him though, both cheev's popped at the menu... I might have gotten lucky somehow but I'll take it! headspin

Still working! I had played up to the end of stage 9 on Uber before I read this guide and then immediately switched to the lowest difficulty. Upon reaching stage 16, I quit to the menu, went into Chapter Select, selected Uber, and it warned me that this would overwrite my progress. I got a bit wary, so decided to back out and just finish the game first. Upon completing the game (which still seemed to be on the easy difficulty), I got the Uber achievement anyway!

I started the game on Uber, played through to a point in Chapter 2 (where you climb a spiral staircase adjacent to a large portrait of Deathshead). Was having my arse handed to me so dropped the difficulty back to 'Bring 'Em On!' and kept playing. Finished the game just now and got all three completion achievements, Uber included. This was a nice surprise, I was gonna do Uber as my collectible cleanup run now I know what to expect in the game but hey, I'll take it. I would guess that this will be patched when the current Challenge expires at the end of June.

Reasoning/explanation:
Here is a new solution, and in my opinion a better one, it is not faster, but it's much easier to handle (not sure if anyone has mentioned this). If you just save this achievement and the Super Hero achievement for last on your list to collect. You can replay the entire game on 999 mode and it makes it so much easier. It feels like playing the game on the easiest difficulty again. On 999 mode, you start with 999 health, unlimited ammo, on Uber mode, and ALL YOUR PERKS as well as all your weapon upgrades (rockets on assault rifles, super powerful laser, etc) if you completed them BEFORE playing your second run through! I literally just attempted the game last night and finished it moments ago in around 5 to 6 hours total run through on Uber via 999 mode. Again, COMPLETE ALL PERKS BEFORE STARTING YOUR SECOND PLAY THROUGH! Because on 999 mode, Perks do NOT progress. So having those completed first makes the solution below work for you.

Solution:
So I suggest just play the game on the easiest difficulty (first play through), complete all your assorted perks for each achievement/branch, and then start a New Game (second play through) on the Bonus Mode "999". When you play the first level, the moment you pick up a weapon that is related to the perks, you have the perks, so faster crouching, quicker reloads, decrease enemy explosive damage, etc. But the game gets even easier on Chapter 2 because you get the assault rifle with rocket launchers plus akimbo! I just ran through most levels either throwing unlimited knives (for when commanders are near) or rockets on everything. The big mechs, if you hit them directly with both rockets, go down in 3 to 4 hits, and the heavier guys go down in one or two! Plus checkpoints are very nice, so as your health drops (and it will start decreasing on its own without damage) you can just die and start at the last checkpoint.

Final boss fight (another reason):
To me this is a much better solution because the last level on Uber is just a nightmare (especially the final boss). I beat the final boss while just getting hit constantly (but avoiding the EMP blast) on his first stage (where you shot down the blimps) and then on the second stage (the small room) just die. Started at the check point that is right at the start of stage two boss fight and just don't let go of the trigger for the laser gun. As long as you DONT SCOPE the laser, it will fire non-stop without the need to recharge! If you scope the laser it will deplete in two shots. He went down in less than 30 seconds doing this method.

I hope this helps because I was dreading doing this and Super Hero achievement.

This is a solution for the final boss fight against a certain General. I know that this is not a solution for the entire game on the Über-Difficulty but I want to post this here to save you all some time if you are struggling.

At first you have to shoot down the two Zeppelins that are flying in the air at two corners outside the fighting-area. When the fight begins quickly go behind the glass-wall and cut a hole in the fence with your laser gun. You'll find your weapons there and some health. Collect all health and armor when you are running around - you'll need it!

You need to get up to the Flaks to shoot down those Zeppelins. To get there try to shoot the General a few times with your lasergun - he then will recharge his shield - this is your chance to run to one of those Flaks. Shoot down the first Zeppelin and repeat the process to get to the other Flak.

Phase 2 is the one that can be the most frustrating but there is one way to make things easier: Double-Rockets!!

Before you get down the hole be sure to collect your weapons and all ammo you can find. Equip both Assault Rifles and switch both to rocket mode (press right on the D-Pad, then Press left on the D-Pad). Be sure that both Rifles are equipeed with rocket ammo and jump down the hole.
As noted by "Craig Buchan" you should also open the wooden boxes to collect some extra health!

The moment you jump down you will see some rocket ammo in front of you - take it. There is another little stash of rocket ammo in the far left corner (up the stairs and then in the far left). Give yourself a few runs to locate those to make your fight easier.
From then on it's all about hitting him always with two rockets at once, then run around a few seconds - then again double rockets (spamming him cosntantly at once with your rockets will not do the Job!!! Shoot - hide a little bit/run away - shoot).
Repeat the process.
I think I needed 8 or 9 good double hits and a few single hits to bring him down.

Try to move around and watch out for the fire - it's hurting badly on that difficulty. There is some health and some armor lying around - take it only when you need it.

There is also a simple way that worked for me: After collecting the rocket ammo run to the stairs and over the walkway in front of you- when you reach the other end of the walkway turn right and hide in the gap between the walkway and the wall. When you are hiding there in a good position the boss will not be able to hit you. You can then fire at his feet until he goes down. Give it a try - I can confirm that this works - did it on another Über-Run.
(credits for this way go to NeXuS23 who wrote this in his solution for the 360 Version!)

I hope I can save you some time with this guide. Good luck!

If you vote negatively please tell my why. Thx!

PS: I replayed only the last chapter to get both achievements for Über and I am Death Incarnate Difficulties. As reported by other Gamers this is still working!

Dr.Schmock posted this videoin the comments showing that the stairs also work on the opposite side:

On the first phase, I recommend using grenades over shooting him with the laser. A grenade instantly causes him to recharge. Run to the right side first, he should be ready for a recharge as you hit the middle of the upper level. Hit him with a grenade and jump on the cannon. You can use the laser to stun him once more as you jump down. Repeat grenade, run, grenade halfway on the upper level and flak. Hit him with the fully charged shot to get him to fall through. I hid behind the stairs as the videos showed and beat him in no time!

I'm sorry but the 1st video is just bullshit. No way you can win like that downing the boss only 2/3 times. Also, after a short while you're hiding, the fire start to spread around the stairs area so you'll lose health pretty fast

I just did this boss fight yesterday using the "hide in the corner under the stairs" method. It totally works. I don't remember how many times he staggered before he totally went down, but I killed him in less than 5 grenades and 20 rockets (8 in each gun plus 4 in reserve).

Solution works as described. Thank you.

Good guide but in addition to collecting all the ammo and armour - go round opening all the wood and metal crates. Try to uncover as much unused healh packs as possible.
Once that has been done start in one corner collectinh health from the boxes, head outside the fence collecting the small packs, collect any where your weapons were, head along the 3rd wall with the small 20 packs then back inside to the last set of boxes.

By doing this before jumping down the hole my health was boosted to 380 with 100 armour giving me a little more allowence for Uber damage.

Hope this helps along with hthe guide

Finished the boss first try following the strategies in the video. Getting to the boss was more annoying.

For getting to the boss - first room, be careful, use rockets on the Shotgun troops, machine gun on the normal troops. For the 2nd and 3rd rooms - use the multi-shot scope of your laser cutter/gun to unload into shotgun troops/minigun troops/robots, run to the prior room, recharge, repeat. Have the marksman rifle set to beam mode to take out the machine gun normal troops. Just run laps between the fight and the charger. Be sure to have the laser cutter/gun upgraded with the scope - I think the upgrade is missable. It lets you fire 3-5 shots at once, killing enemies very quickly. The robots take about 6 recharges, but they go down eventually. Because you just fire 2 shots and instantly run away/hide, enemies don't get the chance to damage you.

I can confirm this is still working as of 19 Aug 17! Playing the whole game through on 999 mode is honestly the better solution, imo, because it's much more fun than constantly starting the same choke points over and over again. Granted, I'm not great at video games, so the 4 hours and 25 minutes it took me to run through guns blazin on 999 mode was worth it to me since I played the first choke point of the last level for about an hour on 'normal' Uber before I decided to try 999.

You can play only the final mission on Uber and unlock both the "Super hero" achievement along with the "Uber hero" achievement without the use of this guide if you like, this is just an easier way of doing this.

If you plan on 100% completing the game then collect all the enigma codes, crack enigma code one (the code is as follows):

01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09
08 07 06 05 04 03 02 01 09

Once you've entered this you'll unlock "999" mode. This allows you to play through the game with a starting health of 999. The difficulty for 999 mode is coincidentally the Uber difficulty. If you hit too low a health to continue in part of the game, no worries, reload the latest checkpoint and start with 999 health again. Also this mode will give you unlimited ammo so there's no need to worry about ammo either.

The game on 999 mode will probably take you a few more hours but some may find it a lot easier to play through it on 999 mode, rather than frustrating themselves with a level that arguably has quite a few difficult bits to it.

Hope this helps!

I took the advice from many sites on how to beat Deathshead in the final battle. I had a much harder time beating him in the first phase than the second.

Below is a video of the second phase of the battle from Upload Video. I doubt it will help anyone but maybe the grenades and rockets (assault rifle mod) might be helpful. Biggest tip - DON'T aim down your sights, shoot from the hip as it's easier to see him.

I found it much quicker to complete the last level on UBER rather than starting the game on 999 mode.

Please bear in mind that you have to complete the whole level again, this could be quite frustrating if you are not used to the difficulty. It took me about 45mins to complete the whole level using this method.

Here are some tips:
LKW - Use this most the time if not all the time. Once fully upgraded this is a serious tool and will kill anything in one shot (except machines)
Keep in mind that you can wait for the battery to recharge or find a power up point. (plenty of them around)
Let the enemies come to you. Doesn't matter where you hide, they will always come running. This is a very handy way to clear rooms with multiple heavies.

As for the boss, the above methods work very well. I found hiding under the stairs when you jump down was the easiest, i did this on my first attempt. Simply unload the rockets and grenades then kill the Nazi bastard!.

Enjoy!

Fist of all, you can play all the levels on any other difficulty, and then by chapter select, go to the final level and play it on Über difficulty, I did it in that way, and get the 2 achievements of that.

Second, during the level you can use a lot the LKW, this thing do a lot of damage to the big enemies, and save the rockets for the final boss.

Third, for the final boss I put my video, so you can see how to pass him in an easy way, in the second part, you must be behind the stairs so you cant be hit by him

Hey guys just wanna share my time playing 999 mode would 100% play it this way, full ammo on everything 👍🏻 and 999 health which reduces over time but just die and you will refresh with 999 health at last checkpoint, my only hard bit of the game was escaping prison with Set while in robot but couple attempts and you will be through anyway good luck and can defo say its 24/06/2020 and Achievement unlocked

Okay, just want to confirm that completing the LAST level on UBER through the chapter select screen will unlock you both the trophies, this one and the 'Super hero' trophy. Doing the last level alone is much quicker than doing the entire game on 999 mode which is your other option.

So all you have to do is do this last level on UBER, there are a few tricky bits but overall it isn't too hard. The hardest bit is the final boss but if you follow the video guide below you'll be able to do it pretty easily. I did it on my 2nd try following the guide below. Just be careful where you fire your grenade laucher, only shoot him in the face and only when he's not guarding and you should be able to do it easily. Throw the odd grenade here and there as well to get the job done. If you need any help let me know. Cheers.

One trick I found useful for the final stage of the boss fight... at the far end of the walkway along the RHS wall there's a gap between the stairs and the wall. You can actually get in here, crouch and in the right spot with the boss on the floor below, it's very hard for the boss to hit you. Assuming you've picked up all the rockets etc and all the ammo before you dropped down the hole, you can basically just snipe at the boss' feet under the walkway and take him out that way. You may take the odd hit but as long as you're careful this strategy does work.

Would like confirmation that with the latest patch as of now (Nov 21) this will work if you are offline when doing chapter select on last chapter. Can anyone confirm this? Anyone w/o trophy and with patch that can test this? I'm about to get started playing this game.

I got it on 25/05/14 by selecting chapter select final level on uber difficulty, when you first gain control of your character, change to easiest and finish.

If they patch the above, currently chapter select the final and complete the entire chapter on uber difficulty works.

If they patch that or its too hard then starting a new game on 999 bonus mode works and having unlimited ammo and respawning after death with 999 health makes it easier than the normal game on the easiest setting and unlocks the trophy (its also fun with double weapons and laying down unlimited fire)

If you need help on how to defeat a boss I think I used the below walkthrough I just used the PS4 search engine which does the job beautifully. http://www.primagames.com/games/wolfenstein-new-order/covera...

This didn't work for me. I delete the game, let it re-install, but deleted the patch so that the game was still the 1.0 version. I did chapter select, 16, Uber difficulty. Changed to easy once I got control and started moving. Finished the game. No new trophies.

Is there another trick to it?

Also tried changing the difficulty back to "Uber" just before the end of the last battle, and it still didn't help. You confirmed that your strategy works with the default, unpatched 1.0 version of the game, right?

Tried several more times, and still no luck. There must be more to the trick. For instance, did you play through the first chapter on Uber originally? Maybe it's doing something to see that the first chapter was played on Uber. Maybe not, but I don't know what else could be causing me to not get the trophies using the unpatched game and this guide. :(

I have the NA disc version. Yeah, I already beat it on normal before trying this, so that could be a factor.

Sounds like playing the whole last level on Uber may work, although I'm not having much success. In the last hard section just before it quiets down in the lab, I can't get through. Hiding and using rockets got me past several Nazis, but my latest attempt ended on failure even so. I could probably do it if I'd developed the strategy over the entire game, but jumping from Normal to Uber may be beyond me.

And with Watch Dogs out today, maybe it's not meant to be.

Run through the game again on 999, super fast just run through the game no sneaking should only take a few hours and the end game is dead easy with 999 health and unlimited ammo, rockets galore

As 22-11-2017, begining final chapter on uber and switching difficulty to easy doesn't work. I have EU digital version. I'm going to beat the game in 999 mode

Yeah, I revisited this finally, and finished on 999 mode. Most areas, you can just run past everybody, straight through to the next checkpoint. Not everywhere, but most places. The only challenge was the last level leading up the lab area, and then the final battle, but not too bad. The problem for me was that I didn't have the rocket launcher, rifles, or anything -- just the LKW and grenades. But I was able to make do.

If there's a patch out then I did it with the patch installed (unless the patch came out in the last two days) and no trick that I know of I put the full story below though.

I also did it on my first playthrough, I played the game on the easiest until the final gold item at the boos fight, quit out w/out defeating the boss therefore never completing the game or earning any trophies, got the gold items I was missing, selected the final chapter using chapter select at Uber and then ingame before I walked into the airlock of the sub changed my mind and selected the easiest difficulty ingame using start/options/change difficulty. I also did it all in one session w/out leaving the game (but I did use the PS home button to go to the dashboard and IE just didn't close the game or turn off the PS4).

Have you already completed the game maybe thats a requirement albeit a weird one? I assume you did it in one go w/out closing the game. I own the digital download EU version maybe thats important?

Other than everything I've written above there's nothing I can think of I wasn't even going for it lol short of it once of glitching maybe I got lucky though it'll be good if someone else can get it to work.

While the method of playing the last chapter on Uber is a very good solution there is another solution that I don’t think anyone has talked about because it’s pretty obvious. There are enigma codes that you can enter for extra game modes and one is 999 mode where you start the game off with 999 health and the difficulty is automatically set to Uber, you will have to play through the entire game but with 999 health this play through will be insanely easy

Note: I don’t remember for I haven’t played this game in a while if entering this game mode erases the game progress you currently have so I suggest you get this achievement last

ÜBER is this game's highest difficulty level, it's not overly difficult but it does have its fair share of problem areas. With that said, the same methods that help with other First-Person Shooters holds true here as well. If you choose to play the game legit and wish to survive ÜBER make sure you follow these tips:

  • Take cover and if you can keep your distance! Obviously cover is very important and you should use it all the time but beware of wooden cover because it has a habit of being destroyed. Use to lean out of cover to pick enemies off. Distance is also very important in this game. The enemies' aim gets progressively worse the farther away you get from them. Use this to your advantage.

  • Stealth, stealth, stealth! Using the stealth approach whenever available will make your life much easier. Use the stealthy approach anytime you can, I cannot stress this enough.

  • No need to rush and retreating is your friend. This game does not have infinite enemy spawn points so there is no need to rush to the next checkpoint. If you find yourself a nice piece of cover then stay there until the enemies push up to you and if your nice cover point is ruined, you can always run back to previous locations to regroup and heal. A bonus you get for running away is once you return to the area you fled, some enemies like to group up as if they were standing at an invisible barrier and make good grenade fodder.

  • Some times rushing is good! Occasionally you will find yourself in a huge fight that can be skipped by running to the next door, checkpoint, cutscene, even the end of the level. If you find yourself bogged down at a checkpoint for too long give running past all the enemies the old college try.

  • I know this sounds obvious but aim for the head. Quick kills on regular soldiers are critical and the head is the weak point on most if not all enemies.

  • Use your grenades. The grenades in this game are pretty good but with that said, since there is no way to "cook" your grenades it's best to use them offensively as they won't save you in a jam.

Exploit Users: As mentioned in the Roadmap, you can use an exploit that lets you forgo playing the entire game on ÜBER. Using this exploit you can beat the game on very easy then use Chapter Select to only beat the final Chapter on ÜBER to unlock this trophy. Yes, all of your perks and upgrades carry over. Directions on how to use the exploit are below.

  • Complete the game on very easy (or any difficulty you prefer)
  • After the credits you'll return to the main menu
  • From the main menu choose "Chapters"
  • Now select Chapter 16
  • Choose ÜBER as the difficulty
  • Complete the final Chapter and let the credits roll.
  • Done

You can discuss this exploit here: LINK

If you used the exploit then the final Chapter and especially the final boss may be extremely frustrating for you, because you don't have experience of completing the previous 15 Chapters on ÜBER. You may feel a bit shell shocked, you can't take nearly as much damage as before and some enemies are nearly 3x as strong as they are on the lowest difficulty.

Use my above listed ÜBER tips to get through the Chapter. Below I've posted two videos; one showing you a way to complete the final Chapter quickly and relatively easy and a video showing how to quickly defeat the final boss on ÜBER.

Once you know what to do the final Chapter is surprisingly short. You can sprint past the first fight. Once outside you can pick off the enemies one by one with the LKW. Finally, from the doorway, you can use the laser MG-60 dropped by super-soldiers to clear out the final room one by one. Retreat to refill your gun when low. The super-soldiers and robots will not follow you outside, they cannot advance from the hallway so they are easy to pick off but beware that regular and shotgun soldiers will follow you so watch your back. At the end, saving your friend is simple as you just have to throw two grenades at him then follow the prompt:

There are two phases to the boss fight. The 1st phase is simple. Shoot or throw grenades at the boss to immobilize him as you make your way up to the cannons. In the 2nd phase make sure you keep moving/strafing as you shoot him in the face, preferably with rockets. Use grenades to stun him:

The ÜBER difficulty is the game's hardest difficulty setting to experience; however, due to the unintelligent AI, overpowered weapons, and surplus of ammo throughout each and every Chapter, you will find that ÜBER is nearly the equivalent to playing the game on a default, medium difficulty setting.

In total, there are 16 Chapters you must complete in order to achieve full Campaign completion. Each Chapter can be tackled in one of two play styles: guns blazing or stealthy. You will tend to find that many of the Chapters are easier to complete with a silent approach. Thus, using silenced handguns, silent takedowns, and throwing knives will help you clear rooms quickly and quietly. Conversely, if you wish to kill everyone in your path with loud assault rifles and booming explosions, there's nothing stopping you from causing extreme chaos towards the Nazi opposition.

Whichever way you choose to tackle the Campaign, just make note of a few tips:

  • Throwing knives can be picked up after thrown.
  • Killing commanders while undetected reveals more of the map and prevents reinforcements from being called in.
  • Since the AI is very unintelligent, you will rarely get caught when sneaking around, even if a guard is two feet ahead of you, staring right into your soul or standing right next to his dead comrade.
  • Dual-wielding increases damage output, but severely reduces your accuracy.
  • Use the "lean" feature to your advantage when taking on enemies from behind cover.

Additionally, be sure to utilize the following links for tips, discussions, and mini guides regarding the Über difficulty and the final boss battle of the game.

Overall, completing the entire Campaign on ÜBER won't be that hard. You will obviously be changing up your play style from time to time, but since you are never restricted to only one play style, completing each Chapter thoroughly will be a treat. Some of the game's boss-type fights might be a burden, but with enough persistence, the final Chapter will be right around the corner. Once you complete Chapter 16, the achievement will unlock!

Exploit Note: If you started off the game on a lower difficulty other than Über, there is still another beneficial glitch. Simply play the entire game on any low difficulty (i.e. Can I Play, Daddy?) and complete the Campaign. Then, choose to replay Chapter 16 through the Main Menu on Über. Now all you need to do is complete Chapter 16 on this difficulty and when the credits have conclude, the two higher difficulty-related campaign completion achievements should unlock. Thanks to Revolver for this confirmation!

In general, the "Uber" difficulty is not particularly difficult, but I will describe my tactics for passing at this difficulty level.

Personally, I played through the game twice, the first time on medium difficulty, collecting everything I could plus getting perks. so that all this is preserved during the second playthrough of the game on "Uber", start a new game NOT THROUGH NEW GAME through, but through CHAPTER SELECTION, this will greatly facilitate the passage.

The whole difficulty of Uber lies in taking high damage from enemies. Therefore, always try to take armor and extra lives.
It’s not a good idea to use two weapons at once, the ammunition is used up too quickly.
Of course, use cover, running towards the razhon will not bring success, the enemies often take you in numbers.
If you go through the game for the second time, you already know approximately the location of the enemies and when there will be major shootouts. Save grenades and rockets from the machine gun for large shootouts with large enemies; as a rule, large enemies die after two or three rockets.
Many places can be passed without engaging in battle, using stealth. Enemies sometimes don’t even notice you and it’s easy to go through in stealth.
Many shootouts can even be done by simply running through them.

Everything is very simple, select chapter 16, set the difficulty to Urber, go through and that’s it, the trophy is in your pocket. ps there is no need to delete any patches or the game itself. Verified personally.

Playing on UBER is generally easy. Difficulty may arise on the last boss.

My little advice: Before running to the guns, shoot the general with the Laserkraftwerk until he starts charging.. In front of the room with the fire, collect everything you can. I found an easy way: first you throw grenades and underbarrel rockets at the general. You can pick up 4 more rockets behind the far wall. Now comes the interesting part. The fire should already be burning. I ran under the bridge and ran back and forth under it. The general cannot actually inflict damage. Look at his guns and run in the other direction. I had enough of a shotgun, a little sniper rifle and, of course, a machine gun.

It was impossible to sit under the bridge. So, I found a very simple way to defeat the final boss in less than 1 minute. Watch a video . They gave me two trophies for replaying chapter 16. Disc version with patches.

After opening the first enigma code, the "999" mode appears. We select a new game - additional modes - 999. The difficulty on it is Uber, the ammunition is endless, health from each checkpoint is 999. We complete the game in 5 hours and the trophy is in our pocket.
PS there are rumors on foreign forums that if you close the game, you will have to start from chapter 1 - a lie.

Launch chapter 16, select uber difficulty and a trophy in your pocket.
I advise you to proceed very carefully, because... Enemies inflict mass damage.
The most difficult thing is the second hall with opponents, but it can be easily overcome with the help of a pumped up lasercraft.
Those. you press a button to open the door, then start camping with kraftwerk.
You can always reload it, but you will have to lure out your opponents.
Accuracy, craftwork, cover and the trophy is yours!
Lastboss is absolutely awesome.

The last boss. Killed the first time and very quickly. First, we throw grenades, then immediately shoot with a laser craft (not in aiming mode), then we pick up two machine guns with a grenade launcher mode in the right hand and shoot from both barrels (bullets and grenades). When the ammunition runs out, by this time the laserkraftwerk should be slightly recharged. We fire a few shots from it. That's it. You don't even have to run away)

Everything can be made easier. We turn on the additional mode 999, which we will get after the first passage from the first Enigma code. And now you have 999 lives and endless ammo from the first checkpoint. We take the rockets and run through the entire game again. Uber is yours)

The location in the last chapter, where you need to hold the handle to open the door, is very easy to pass, let yourself be noticed and immediately return back to the narrow door from where you came, the enemies stupidly push you to this door, calmly shoot them.

In the second room, where there are a bunch of robots and thugs, we run to the left along the corridor. There we kill 2 thugs and 3-4 soldiers. We reach a hefty robot. It's easy to take him down using grenades. Next, hold the handle until they start shooting from behind, and walk in a squat. Result: saving on nerves and many missiles that will be so useful in the future.

I'll add some information for the PS3 version! If you go through the second time with the “999” mode, it opens when you open the enigma code, then I would recommend using simple grenades more often. A shotgun with shrapnel is also very effective, especially when enemies are crowded. True, lives in this mode are not replenished at the checkpoint, but when loading or killing, the last CT will be loaded and lives will again be 999 units. There were no problems at all with the last boss, he was killed in one go.

If you only have 1 or 2 trophies left for difficulty, and you don’t want to go through the game again, you can go the tricky route.

So, we completed the game on any other difficulty (Very Easy, for example), collected all the collectibles, and we were 2 trophies away from platinum.

  • Copy all game saves to the PS+ cloud or to a USB drive (preferably both )
  • We delete the game. Yes, I will completely demolish the entire game after copying the saves.
  • Reinstall the game. But we do not install the patch(s). That is, we install the game by first turning off the Internet, or by canceling the download of the patch in the notifications.
  • So, we have the game installed without patch(s). Copy your saves back (from the PS+ cloud or from a USB drive). Your save will work, even on different versions of the game.
  • Load up Chapter 16 and go through the intricacies of Uber. After passing we get 2 trophies.
Ready!

PS If you have any problems completing the chapter, here is a video walkthrough of the 16th chapter and the final boss.

I’ll add a little about the final boss on the Uber, in the last stage where you have to jump into the hole and finish him off in the fire. I tried to do it on YouTube for a long time, but to no avail. That's why:

Before you jump, collect all the stuff from above, jump into a hole and IMMEDIATELY move to the right, there will be a small staircase up, but on the way up there will be a hole, fall into it and.. that’s it.

It turns out that you will stand under this hole and between you and the boss will be the support of the stairs, personally he never hit me once, I ambushed him with everything from an under-barrel grenade launcher (we turn on the machine guns with both hands and both have grenades) and shot a little with small things, you’re done.

The first stage of the skull, you cut the fence, you run and collect the guns in the racks, then you run and load the craft, you shoot at the hole that the skull makes while it’s charging, you run to the first gun, carefully from the grenade launcher, standing next to the gun we shoot it, it’s loading again, Belima those racks, take the rest, and break through to the charger, which is to the right of the racks, charge, also shoot at the doors from the skull machine gun and in front of the second cannon. After firing the cannon, we extinguish the skulls a little, it explodes. In the second stage, we collect all the supplies that are at the top, go down and immediately to the right onto the stairs, collect everything on it, run to the end and hide under it (there will also be armor and cartridges there ) and extinguish it, not allowing him to approach, aiming. First the laser, then using both hands a machine gun/grenade launcher, then the laser again (when it’s charged), again the machine gun, and then I finished with a sniper. To be honest, it seemed that before I hit him more, either the last time everything was more targeted, or on Uber his defeat depends on the number of attempts.

After completing the game, select the last chapter and change the difficulty level. As of 05.25.14 this opportunity is available!

This loophole will not be fixed. After completing the game, you will be able to select the chapter and its difficulty. Place UBER and complete the game. I recommend running around with super-soldier weapons, charging them at all batteries, and also saving under-barrel rockets for your machine gun.
