Does 999 mode disable achievements?

@ADDZ777: I'm curious of the same thing. Obviously, we can just use the solution for the achievement, but how were these figured out in the first place save just trial and error? I can't find anything in game that relates to what the collectables actually reveal. Anyone know?

There are hints of this decription algorithm in the game, I found two writings on walls/whiteboards with the algorithm. If you type "wolfenstein enigma algorithm hints" on google image you'll find the screenshots. One of them shows 2 x 6 = 12 and below 1 + 2 = 3

This is a puzzle with no in-game hints that's highly improbable to solve independently so players have to look up the solution online. What's the point of it then?
The decoding rules are
1. Each code is a combination of two sequences of nine segments that you find in the game. For example, Code 3 is a combination of sequences 3 and 6.
2. Each segment value is usually the product of its sequence number and sequence position, e.g. for Code 3, the first sequence value is 03 (3x1), the second value is 06 (3x2), etc.
3. If the product is greater than 9, then the segment value is the sum of the product's two digits, e.g. for the fourth segment value in the first sequence of Code 3 comes from 3x4=12 which becomes 1+2=3 so the final value is 03.
4. If the sum itself is greater than 9 then you sum the digits again for the final value, e.g. for Code 3, the second sequence's second to last value is 6x8=48 which becomes 4+8=12 which becomes 1+2=3 for a final segment value of 03.
