How to unlock the Gold master achievement in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Definitive Guide

I will post here a full collectibles Guide! You can choose here between an Single Chapter Guide or an All in One Guide. The Game has total of 83 Collectibles, divided into the following 3 categories: 64 Gold Items, 10 Letters and 9 Nightmare Levels.

For for all 83 Collectibles incl. completing the Nightmare Levels you will earn 15 Achievements in worth of 320 Gamerscore. All Collectibles are immediately saved if you pick up them. Ingame you have a Overview if you hit the Back Button, in the Mainmenu also under the Point "Extras". None of the Collectibles are missable, you can use the chapter select at any time you wanted and collect your missing Stuff. Unlock the Perk "Eagle Eye" and the Collectibles are showing on your Map as "?"

Same thing happened to be @Kriostyx i actually unlocked the golden pistol reward at my 63th gold item which completely bugged my save for the achievement. All this done for nothing very nice...

Edit: nevermind i was still able to save my run and avoid doing another playthrough by deleting my save off my console and went to collect the collectible item again. Had to do it 5 times before it finally pop

For anyone wondering I just collected all 64 gold items twice and got no achievement. This achievement is absolutely broken. I guess I'm stuck with 980G on this game.

Similar to @oONeonDemonOo the achievement did not pop once collecting the final gold item. I then dash boarded and deleted the save on console and reloaded. Went through the level again and the achievement popped when collecting the final gold item.

Just like in The New Order, the only map you can see is the one for the section you're in at that moment. Makes all the collectibles a tedious chore of hopping up and down between the map levels.

Unfortunately the achievement can glitch itself out. Collected all 64 gold items and all letters, no achievement for either. Quite amazing BS, but what can one do.

So for anyone thinking of going for the achievement, be warned that there is a chance that all that hard work will amount to nothing. The game really should have an overall warning about buggy achievements, since there are plenty of forum posts on this site with people having achievements not unlocking.

If you are a person who is considering getting this game, be aware that the achievements are glitched beyond belief and one should probably spend their money elsewhere.

There are a total of 64 gold items scattered throughout the game. Specifically, there will be eight gold items per Chapter. As an aid, make sure to refer to your in-game map (press down on the d-pad) as collectibles will be marked with a glowing question mark if you have unlocked the "Eagle Eye" perk. On top of this, the perk also makes collectibles visible on your HUD by indicating their location with a clear white circle if you are close by (much like how objectives are marked on the HUD by clear blue circles).

Like any collectible, nearly all of the gold items will be tucked away in well-hidden rooms or along forgotten passageways that are not always directly taken when pursuing the main objective of your mission. Be sure to explore each and every Chapter carefully and refer to your map when necessary if you desire to uncover any black spots. Also, keep in mind that when you stealth kill Commanders, it will not only reveal more of the map, but it will fill the map with small question marks—direct indicators of collectible locations. This applies to all the collectible sets within the game.

As a general reminder, you can always check your Chapter collectible progress at any time by pressing the back/view button and referring to the menu's collectible tab. Likewise, the game will automatically save any collectibles that you immediately pick up, so feel free to quit the Chapter once grab what you need if you are replaying a Chapter.

In total: there are 74 collectibles in which you must collect in the game. These include 10 letters, and 64 gold items. No collectibles are missable as there is chapter select which allows you to quickly clean up any outstanding collectibles if you did not focus on earning them on your first playthrough of the game. The game is quite linear and the majority of these collectibles can be found quite easily, especially if you have unlocked the ‘Eagle Eye’ perk (see Eagle Eye for more details), as this allows you to see all collectibles on your map, which can be accessed by pressing .

If you find a map (usually somewhere at the beginning of the level), then all the collectibles are located without third-party clues. Once you find the card, open it with the downward arrow. Let's go to the question marks. This is gold, and letters, and nightmares.
