How to unlock the Die, Grösse, die! achievement in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Definitive Guide

Here are the Locations and Video Walkthroughs for all 9 Nightmare Levels. The Videos show the Location of the Nightmare levels too. Difficulty is easy.

Prologue
After the passport control, collect the Key from the Desk behind you and follow the Story (Elevator), after you leave the Elevator turn right and open the Iron Gate with the Key and go downstairs.

Chapter 1
After you reach in the Prison the Circle Area with the Cells, go to Cell Number C4, open the hatch, fall down and interact with the Bed. The hatch / Cell C4 is part of the Mainstory and unmissable.

Chapter 2
The Level is located at the Beginning of the Chapter, after you reach the Docks with the E-Ship, go left Side to the other E-Ship and use it. At the first Stop is in the right Corner the Location from this Nightmare Level.

Chapter 3
After a while in the Chapter you will come to a hatch (unmissable because Storyrelated), open the hatch and jump in the very little Room right hand over the railing, at the bottom look to the right Side and you see the Bed aka Nightmare Level Location.

Chapter 4
After you reach the tavern and meet with Annette (unmissable, storyrelated) go upstairs before you leave the tavern and you will find the Bed aka Nightmare Level.

Chapter 5
After you leave the Wulfsburger Place and unlock the Challenge for that Area, you will arrive the House of Agent Two. This House is unmissable and Story relevant, before you interact with the Door, turn around and go straight back in the Ally, here you find the Bed aka Nightmare level Location.

Chapter 6
After you get the Sawed off Shotgun follow the story. You reach a Wall where you can climb up with the Pipe (unmissable - Story) before you climb up, look to the left Side (some Meters before the Wall), here you will see the Bed aka Nightmare Level Location

Chapter 7
The Location is after you breaching the second Wooden Gate with the Robotor, get out and go over the Bridge, then jump right Side over the Railing (here is a Boat) into the Water. Swim through the Tunnel and right Side at the End you will find the Bed aka Nightmare Level Location.

Chapter 8
First of all, the Location of the Boss Level is after you passing the electric door (unmissable). Go left Side two times and you see a Hole, fall down and at the next Wall left side is a very small gap, use it and here you will find the Bed aka Nightmare Boss Level. The level itself its one Room with the Boss, nothing more. On easy or Normal the Boss is no problem (you dont have play the Nightmare level on hard or Uber)

Anyone know if these have to be done in a single playthrough? I did the prologue, then restarted a new game, didn't do it on that next playthrough, but did the other 8 (got the achievements for them), but didnt unlock the achievement for doing them all. Maybe I just need to replay the Prologue one?

I also did every nightmare and unlocked every achievement for each individual nightmare but this one still hasn't unlocked, and I also had a different save slot when I first played the game then deleted that slot and started over.

So it probably makes sense that you have to have done them all in the same save slot or it won't count. The challenge for me though is to figure out which nightmares I did in my first save that I haven't done in my current one...

I have done all levels (prologue-8) and they are all unlocked except for the complete all nightmares achievment. Its in the same save in the same single difficulty on the single run and according to trueachievements its not unlocked.

I would like to add this is one PC Gamepass.

I am editing this comment to say that i had to replay chapter 5 nightmare for this to unlock.

I knew I had a reason to hang on to my official Wolfenstein 3D hint manual from Id that I bought in 1994 when I was in middle school. It has all the maps which makes it much easier to navigate the maze-like levels. Also easier to confirm the treasure locations although I gave up on that after I found out that 5 of the 9 unlocked characters were guard color variants that didn't even appear in game.

Guten tag - the final nightmare wouldn't unlock. After finishing the game I did the other nightmares and won this 'all nightmares' achi, but I still don't have Guten tag.
...I did it again and finally it unlocked.

I did all nightmares except Proluge, Ch2, & Ch3 on my first play through (Death Incarnate). On my second (Uber), I only did the ones I was missing, and after Ch3 the "Die, Groose, Die" achievement did NOT unlock.

The root problem is that despite being on the same save slot, when you go up in difficulty (completing the game on Death Incarnate and then replaying on Uber, for example) the game esentially creates a new save. If you go to Chapters from the menu, you'll notice you need to unlock them again. Therefore, you have to do all of the nightmares on that save to complete it (despite your previous achievements). I finished Ch4-Ch8 nightmares on Uber and went back to Ch1 on Uber to unlock. From iJordan24 x's description (who took the time to message me for help, THANKS!), you could probably do the same on the lowest difficulty and be fine.

+ Nightmare Levels can be played on any difficulty for the achievements.

- You have to play a chapter again and get to the bed if you want to replay a nightmare level.

Nightmare levels are small side levels within each of the 9 main story levels. They are reminiscent of the original Wolfenstein 3D released for PC in 1992. Your goal in each of the 9 levels is to make your way to the elevator and leave the level. However, you can easily get lost and confused along the way as there are numerous doors and rooms in which you must pass through. You will also need to find keys for locked doors on levels as well. Each level only takes a few minutes to complete if you know where to go, and all enemies are very quick and easy to complete.

In order to start each nightmare level in each of the main missions of the game, you must find progress to a certain bed and press to go to sleep. This will start the nightmare level, and once complete it, you will return to the bed location and the respective trophy for completing that level will unlock.

The below video by Harry94_ shows the location of each of the beds to access the nightmare levels as well as a walkthrough on how to complete each one.

[0:05] Prologue Nightmare
[2:03] Prison Nightmare
[4:34] Docks Nightmare
[7:34] Wolfenstein Keep Nightmare
[9:55] Escape! Nightmare
[13:08] Wulfburg Nightmare
[17:31] Ruins Nightmare
[21:12] Old town Nightmare
[23:46] Graveyard Nightmare (Boss Level)

With last year’s Wolfenstein: The New Order, developer MachineGames established how they could pay good homage to the 1992 id Software original—hiding the game’s first level as an Easter Egg. Well, those Easter Eggs are back. There are nine Nightmare levels in The Old Blood, one for each chapter in the game (Prologue + 8 Chapters). They cover the entirety of Episode One of Wolfenstein 3D, including the boss fight against Hans Grösse and the secret level (Floor 10).

Much like the standard sets of collectibles in the game—letters and gold items—nearly all of nightmare levels (which are triggered by finding a particular bed and interacting with it) will be tucked away in well-hidden rooms or along forgotten passageways that are not always directly taken when pursuing the main objective of your mission. As such, be sure to explore each and every Chapter carefully and refer to your map when necessary if you desire to uncover any black spots that might be hiding collectibles. Additionally, while using the map, take note that collectibles will be marked with a glowing question mark if you haves unlocked the "Eagle Eye" perk. On top of this, the perk also makes collectibles visible on your HUD by indicating their location with a clear white circle if you are close by (much like how objectives are marked on the HUD by clear blue circles).

The nightmares may prove to be a tad overwhelming given each level’s maze-like design, but with enough persistence and exploration, coupled with the use of the in-game map, completing the levels shouldn’t be too hard. If you happen to die while playing the nightmares, you’ll have to retry the whole level from the beginning but the map will remain uncovered. As a general note on how to complete these missions, you'll want to explore the level, find a silver key, and then find a locked metal door. After using the aforementioned key on such a door, you'll eventually find an elevator which will be the level's "exit." This achievement will unlock once all nine nightmare levels in the game have been completed.

Passage of all 9 levels of nightmares https://youtu.be/ExxezmwQz6M if suddenly you have no desire to wander through the corridors in search of exit keys.

And also the location of all 9 levels of nightmares, 64 gold bars and 10 letters:

Link to nightmare maps. For me it’s easier than the video.

I completed the game on über difficulty (I didn’t go into nightmares), then after selecting chapters on the lowest difficulty I went through nightmares and everything fell out

I confirm the message above, missed nightmares need to be completed through chapter selection, not through a new game. Before starting a chapter, you can select the difficulty level.

And yet, it is important to go through all the nightmares in one playthrough. Since playing for the first time just for the plot, I found only one nightmare, the last one in a row. I passed it and they gave me the corresponding trophy. In the second playthrough, from a new save cell I began to go through the nightmares in order, after passing the penultimate one, the trophy did not drop. And only after replaying the last nightmare with the boss, the trophy dropped

I completed the game on an average level and then replayed the chapters with the missed nightmares on the easiest level, everything worked out great

If you missed one of the nightmares during the passage, and decide to go through it the next time you go through the game by changing the difficulty level, then this achievement will not be counted towards you. A strange glitch - either go through all the nightmares playing on the same difficulty level, or you will have to replay by starting the game from a new save slot. As soon as you kill the boss in the eighth level and wake up, the trophy is yours.
