How to unlock the Graveyard combat master achievement in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Definitive Guide
This is a video of the Graveyard Challenge Map in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.
To obtain Gold, you must be playing on "I Am Death Incarnate" or "Uber" difficulty. The gold medal is rewarded at 28800. For higher scores go for headshots (600 points) and try to keep your combo active as you receive an extra 200 points for each kill in the combo.
To reach Gold, you must enter the side area located to the right of where you begin. I saved this area until after I killed the main group of enemies.
From Ernap:
You can enter the 2nd Area from the Exit instead of the Regular Entrance by jumping like crazy at the Hole. This will give you a major Advantage as no Enemy can get to you and you can easily line up your shots
I figured it out my second try so not horribly complicated just wasn't completely clear in original solution.
Better you play in Über Difficulty!
Unlock requirement: This challenge can only be unlocked in Chapter 8 - Dig Site. At the start of the level you will be inside a Graveyard. Make sure you kill every enemy in this area, including the enemies down the path towards the right where a gold bar collectible is located. If successful, an on screen notification will appear.
Gold medal requirement: 28,800
In Challenge mode you need to kill enemies and earn points. Your overall score will determine what medal you achieve on the level. You will need to play each challenge on either I AM DEATH INCARNATE! or ÜBER difficulty in order to get a gold medal, as the option for earning a gold medal on any lower difficulty does not exist. Once all enemies have been killed the challenge will end.
You earn points in challenge mode for killing enemies. A standard kill will net you 400 points, and you will earn an additional 200 points for a headshot, and if you kill enemies in quick succession and keeping your combo together. There Isn't much room for error when it comes to achieving the required gold medal score for each challenge. You will need to kill the majority of enemies with head shots whilst keeping your combo going for a length period. There Is not a right or wrong way for playing the challenges, so feel free to use whatever method works for you. I have however provided tips below to help you stay alive whilst killing enemies and earning as many points as you can. One thing to note is that no perks you have unlocked in the main story can be used in the challenges, and everything you do in challenges do not count towards your perks either.
Tips:
- Always go for headshots. Each headshot will earn you an additional 200 points which is critical for reaching a gold medal.
- Avoid close quarters combat. Stay far away from enemies if you can as you will be killed very quickly on the harder difficulties if you try and fight up close.
- Learn the layout of each of the challenge areas and where and when enemies spawn. This will help you prepare yourself and allow you to collect health and armor packs when you know it's safe to do so.
- Disregard the time it takes you to complete the challenge. Time has no bearing on your overall score.
- Position yourself where enemies will funnel themselves towards you from one direction. This will prevent an enemy sneaking up behind you without you knowing. It will also help in earning a high combo as the enemies will be standing close to one another.
- If there are commanders in the level, always keep one alive and don’t kill them both in a silent manner. You need the commanders to be alerted to your presence so reinforcements will arrive. If you complete the challenge in stealth you will not encounter enough enemies in order to achieve a high enough score for a gold medal.
- Watch out for enemy grenades as it only takes one to kill you if your health is low. You will be at enemies preparing to throw one and you will also see a red indicator on screen for the direction in which the grenade has landed. If camping somewhere to kill enemies, make sure you have an area to run to in order to avoid the explosion of the grenade.
- For the final three challenges you will need to focus on killing each enemy twice. By this I mean killing them once they turn into a zombie as you will be rewarded with more points. It's not entirely clear what makes some enemies turn into zombies and not others, but just try to avoid using too many bullets to kill each enemy. The hardest part of the final three challenges is meeting the score requirements.
The following video by JoeFenix, shows a walkthrough of each of the 10 challenges and commentary providing some useful tips.
This challenge map will unlock after passing through the graveyard right at the beginning of Chapter 8, Dig Site.
The Single Player challenge maps in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood are a new addition to the series. In order to unlock all ten maps, you must first play through the entirety of the Campaign (check the achievements above for when each map unlocks). Once you've unlocked a map, they can be accessed via the Main Menu. Here, you'll be given a list of all ten challenge maps and you'll notice that the "Bring 'Em On!" difficulty level is turned on by default. Please take note that in order to obtain gold medals on these challenge maps, you will need to toggle the difficulty level to "I AM DEATH INCARNATE!" (or higher if you wish, though it is not necessary).
These challenge maps are essentially areas from the main Campaign where you'll be required to clear out waves of Nazis (or sometimes Zombies). Since all the maps are set pieces from the Campaign, you shouldn't have too much trouble knowing where decent hiding spots or advantage points are located, as well as where certain weapons and gear (health and armor) may be stashed.
When a challenge map begins, immediately go loud and start killing the Nazi opposition. As you are killing the enemies on the map, you will be rewarded points based on your play style. Although some maps may seem stealth-oriented (such as Prison Docks or Caves), a stealth approach to these challenge maps will never net enough points to earn gold medals. Here are a few examples of how to net points during the challenges:
- Soldier Kill - 400 Points
- Commander Kill - 900 Points
- Heavy Soldier Kill - 800 Points
- Stealth Kill - 200 Points
- Combo Kills - 200 Points
- Multi Kills - 200 Points
- Explosion Kill - 200 Points
- Headshot Kill - 200 Points
- Shambler (Zombie) Kill - 300 Points
- Kampfhund Kill - 300 Points
- Marksmen Soldier Kill - 600 Points
If you happen to fail a challenge's gold medal requirement or die during the onslaught, you can restart the challenge immediately through the post-challenge stat menu. As a general tip to ensure the most points per challenge map, always aim for headshots and try to keep your combo active by moving your crosshair from enemy to enemy.
Go ahead and check the gold medal requirements below for all ten maps.
- Research Center - 11,300 Points
- Prison Docks - 29,800 Points
- Keep Foyer - 24,500 Points
- Cable Car Platform - 26,600 Points
- Caves - 26,900 Points
- Paderborn Bridge - 22,800 Points
- Wulfburg Square - 17,600 Points
- Workshop - 17,200 Points
- Bathhouse - 17,100 Points
- Graveyard - 28,800 Points
All in all, these gold medals shouldn't be too hard to get given your familiarity with each area you'll be playing on. Combat play style will vary from player to player, so there is no set strategy for each map. Despite this, falling back on the tips presented in the "Über hero" achievement above, such as utilizing the game's lean feature and knowing when and when not to dual-wield, will prove to be valuable during your trials on each challenge. As a final reminder, each challenge map must be played on the "I AM DEATH INCARNATE!" difficulty level in order to earn gold medals.
NOTE: If you find yourself having a difficult time with some of the challenge maps, do not hesitate in utilizing the video guides in THIS THREAD, as provided by Mr. Magic. Thanks for the help, Magic!

Here's a video for clarity:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_3F0yi5_wo
Location 1: You can raise the alarm in the place where you appear and shoot everyone without leaving the location, the enemies will come to you. Only you will have to go to the officers after clearing the location (knock one off the sheaf on the tower, and hit the other in the head in the carriage) in the end you will get about 18,000.
Location 2: You can also shoot everyone without going down as in the video. You should get the required number of points if you killed with a headshot + combo. If you don’t have enough points, you can jump down, then 3-4 more Krauts will jump from the far left corner of the location. Take them all down with combos. The glasses should definitely be enough.
