How to unlock the Sting like a bee achievement in Wolfenstein: Youngblood - Definitive Guide

Seeing a lot of people (including myself) that were having issues with this, until I found a solution that started working for me. The hatchet wasn’t registering stealth kills on a Super soldiers, until I switched to a knife (Weapons screen, scroll to the bottom, click on melee, pick any of the available knives.. You may have to buy one with silver coins)

Start on Brother 3 Research & Development map, there’s usually a Super Soldier that spawns directly on the street as you come up from the metro station (look left at the intersection) and/or down in the ditch below. There’s one that can also be patrolling the bridge by the statues to the right of the street. Camo yourself, stab him when no one is looking. Quit and reload. Hope this helps someone!

I can confirm this fixed my problem/achievement tracker for stealth kills on super soldiers. I had originally chosen the hatchet to start out the game and never thought of switching to the knife, but once I did, the tracker went up just like normal. THANK YOU!!!

Have only ever used the knife, done about 6 of them, and progress still zero. Very frustrating.

I bought cloak, and that has seemed to help. Am now at 40%. You have to wait for the guy in the left to turn the corner so he doesn't see you murder the big guy, apparently as it tracks if you are seen at all, not just if you are able to stealth kill the soldat.

Yeah, the cloak is awesome for this. Sometimes though I do it and enemies see me but the game gives me credit anyway.

It's pretty obvious that cloak helps to sneak up and stealth kill an enemy. The hatchet worked for me (saw how it wasn't registering kills for some).

@Apostle - the enemies see you because you just killed someone and their body just dropped randomly to them. Having an enemy see you stealth kill does not void the kill on the achievement counter.

This on GP now, hatchet is working fine for me. Getting spotted doesn't matter once you've started stealth kill using RS.

Since you'll likely be grinding through the first mission for kills to get mastery 10 on all weapons. About 3/4 of the way through you'll encounter a Supersoldaten going down some stairs. Cloak and then wait till he gets to the bottom of the stairs then stealth kill him. It's only 1 per mission but if you're already grinding might as well get this along the way!

Edit: Make sure to have a knife equipped instead of a hatchet because this apparently hasn't been tracking unless you have a knife equipped

How does this work? I cloak and sneak behind them and take them out when i see the "axe" icon. But its not counting in the tracker. Are you supposed to kill them in a different way?

@Ratpoizen I did exactly what you're describing. Some of the cheevos in this game are glitched, especially this one and the one for 100% missions. Hopefully Arkane/Bethesda look into it soon and roll out a hotfix.

@DanTheWhale. Did you kill them with RT when the axe icon appears? Im not that bothered about the tracker, just curious about the "way" you killed them. Also do you mean Winklers mission for the grinding lvl 10 mastery? Thnx! 👍

@Ratpoizen Yes I mean Winklers mission. It has a lot of easy to kill enemies and I've just been running through it on easy difficulty. I press the right stick in when the axe icon appears and you go into the stealth kill animation.

In my case only "100% clean" stealth kills seemed to count. What it means is that the tracker went up only when a SuperSoldaten and other enemies in the area were completely unaware of my presence - there were no detection markers on screen whatsoever.

I was having issues with this achievement until I switched my melee weapon from the hatchet to a knife, then the tracker started going up. Hope that helps someone!

Although this video is for playstation it is very useful for identifying the patrol routes on Brother 3 R&D map. the video was not made by me and so I take no credit for it. Happy hunting!

To stealth kill Supersoldaten, you first need to purchase the ‘Supersoldat Hunter’ ability in the Muscle tree for 3 points. Once you have it, you need to sneak up behind the unsuspecting enemy and press analog-right.png to perform a takedown. Be careful as Supersoldaten are more acutely aware of their surroundings, therefore is more difficult to do. Having the ‘Cloak’ ability is very beneficial for this. All stealth kills count towards Stealthy (10G).

Note that kills must be performed with a knife; hatchets and axes do not work.

If you have not unlocked this by the time you have completed the campaign, there are a couple of Supersoldaten in the first section of Brother 3. From the metro exit, head left and one is patrolling along the street parallel to the riverbed. The second one is patrolling in the riverbed below. Revisit Brother 3 via the Metro Map and not by speaking with Abby.

This is not tracked separately in the ‘Statistics’ menu, but counts towards your overall stealth/main kills.

A kill only counts if you sneak up from behind and press r3 WITHOUT DISCOVERY (if you have purchased the skill of killing super-soldiers) when you used an ax for some reason it didn’t count, put a knife - everything counted.
You can check the number of kills in - statistics-enemies-heavy-silent kills

On the first mission to kill General Winkler, almost at the very end of the level, a super soldier stands with his back turned in front of two robotic bartenders, we calmly crouch down and kill him on R3
Can be combined with upgrading weapons to level 10

On version 1.03 I also encountered a problem: kills did not count towards statistics.

I remembered that at some point in the game Cyborg equipped a knife (from the deluxe version). I changed it back to the default knife, and the kills started to count, and the trophy dropped.

I will add from myself. Here "burma" writes that a murder is only counted if it is done without disguise, this is not so.
I always put super-soldiers quietly with camouflage behind them and knocked out the trophy from me without any problems. So don’t worry about this, you just need the skill of quietly killing super-soldiers.

The trophy cannot glitch, there is no need to change the ax to a knife, turn off invisibility and connect to other players for the counter to start running.
The point is, if you silently kill a Super Soldier and at the moment of the killing animation he or another enemy sees you and a yellow icon lights up, indicating that you were noticed, then you all did not kill him unnoticed, for a long time I thought that the statistics were glitched, connected to friends , switched the ax to a knife, as it turns out everything is much simpler, ideally you can forget the kills on the first mission through a repeat.

Trophy may glitch! In the statistics - Enemies - Heavy Soldiers, you can see the section "Silent Kills". If your number is stuck and no matter how many times you kill them, the number is still the same, then for now there is only one way out. You need to join other players and kill the heavy soldiers there silently, then the counter starts working again.
