How to unlock the Trigger happy achievement in Wolfenstein: Youngblood - Definitive Guide

You can grind this one easy. Just mount a heavy gun and hold down RT. You have unlimited ammo and it counts for the achievement. You get 1%/minute.

If you are going to grind this out in the catacombs with machine pistols, don't forget to equip improved versions of all the tempo add-ons as they significantly increase fire rate. Also I had no problem getting infinite refills from the range so it might have been a glitch for you Doombot98275.

Nice I was going to use dual wield machine pistols next to the ammo box at the shooting range of the catacombs base to have unlimited ammo but this works better so you only need to hold RT.

Yes this is the most efficient way to grind out this achievement without a doubt

I don't know that this works any more... I've been holding down the trigger on a turret for 5 minutes and just checked my progress and it hasn't gone up

If you shoot at the targets that are in the catacombs with a machine pistol duel weild that works fast as well, as there is unlimited ammo to the left of the range.

I was only able to restock my ammo once at the range. So, it kinda sucked to have played around with the wooden targets only to find I wasted my ammo before my next mission. :/ Maybe it was just a glitch?

I've checked my progress with this achievement after a few days and my percentage isn't moving. As you were able to pop this achievement with a mounted gun, is it limited to certain guns? I usually use a shotgun, a kraftwerk, or hammer weapon. If it just isn't working for me, is there any way to "wake up" the system to start keeping up with my progress again? :(

Laser gun turret didn't work for me, progress bar is stuck at 36% so if anyone knows or any locations i can find a mounted heavy machine gun if u can post it that would help a brother out. Thanks. 🙏

Just grinded this out with the stationary laser gun. Had 50% already and the other 50% took around 25 minutes with RT held down.
I had tried the stationary kugel weapon and that would have taken a lifetime as each shot only counted as one bullet. So use the laser to do it quickly!

Just a side note, if one plans to get all the achievements for this game (which includes the dreadful weapon mastery and gear head achievements) it's best to leave this one for last. I had 26k coins left to finish gear head and was only mastery 3 and 1 on the laserhammer and dieselhammer (all others complete). At this point, though, I was 93% done with Trigger Happy. I definitely surpassed 100,000 shots by the time I received One Woman Army.

This game takes forever; it's best to manage the time spent in this near "franchise-ruining" installment as efficiently as possible. (Who wants to take more shots than necessary? laugh)

Fastest way I was able to get this was buying surtan perks for the maschinenpistole to make it shoot very fast and then dual wield it then go into the shooting range in the catacombs since there’s unlimited ammo and spray the gun until the achievement eventually popped

100,000 shots is an inordinately absurd number. If you’re lucky, you’ll shoot maybe 30-35,000 shots during the campaign, making this a obscenely ridiculous grind.

This will naturally increase as you are grinding for the weapon mastery achievements, but if you have not unlocked this by then, stationary turrets found in most missions have unlimited ammo. There are a few turrets in the first section of Brother 3, so from the metro exit, head left and along one of the bridges on the right is one. There are two more located at the far end of the riverbed (where you would normally continue the mission). Revisit Brother 3 via the Metro Map and not by speaking with Abby. After defeating all the enemies in the area, hop on one and rubber band rt.png down so you don’t have to sit there holding it.

To see how many shots you’ve fired, press button-menu.png and click on ‘Statistics’. The number of shots fired is shown for each weapon in the ‘Weapons’ section.

The trophy can be collected in half an hour if several conditions are met:

1. You must have the “Two-Handed Shooting” ability leveled up.
2. Complete a side quest to save the character “Claude Duval”
3. Upgrade your submachine gun for fast shooting (second/middle point in each upgrade)

After rescuing the character Claude Duval, a shooting gallery opens in the Catacombs, in which there is a box for replenishing ammunition (the box has endless ammunition).
You take a submachine gun in both hands and shoot at cardboard targets, periodically replenishing ammunition from a nearby box. The game counts any shots fired from a weapon.
A little patience and the trophy is yours.

You can stand behind the laser turret and hold . Shooting into nowhere counts.

It will take exactly two hours (7 seconds per 100 shots) to, stupidly buried in a box with endless ammunition in the catacomb shooting range, shoot with both hands from submachine guns with the triggers held, quickly pressing square to replenish supplies and reload. After going through almost the entire game and sparing no ammo, I didn’t even get half of what was required. Don’t forget to save your progress so that the game doesn’t crash with an error or the power goes out.
