So, for them 'y' is not a vowel?

@SweetArkhane.

Y isn't a vowel in the english alphabet.

A E I O U are vowels.

Even in english it is counted as a vowel actually : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y

That's not what I was taught in school. The five most commonly used letters in the alphabet are A E I O U, and thus, they are the vowels.

lol... leave it to the comment section for this debate. Can anyone think of a word that doesn't have a vowel or a Y? PFFT is a word... but that's four.

Crwth, which is an instrument, is a 5 letter word without a Y or a vowel.

But yes, whilst Y can be used as a vowel, it isn't one. So SweetArkhane, you're completely wrong. Deal with it.

FFS, google this, Arkhane.

In general, the Y is a consonant when the syllable already has a vowel. When the syllable does not have a vowel, a Y is commonly used in its place, but is not classified as a vowel itself.

What I recall being taught it was A E I O U and sometimes Y, but that was a long time ago lol

Correct. Y is a vowel when it makes a vowel sound. The solution for the achievement is fine, but the achievement itself is incorrect anyway.

I really don't understand, a quick search shows you that Y is a vowel, but you still want to be right on this, well, as you wish then ¯\_(ヅ)_/¯

Thanks for the solution but for the record,
Y is a consonant when it starts a word (i.e. yarn, yes, yell).
Y is a vowel when no other vowels are present (i.e. sky, dry, gym).
Y is also a vowel when in the middle or end of a syllable (i.e. system, acrylic, happy, baby)
Though "Nymph" procs the achievement, the y in nymph is phonetically a vowel.
