How to unlock the Death From Above achievement in World of Tanks - Definitive Guide
You can get this during normal play by driving off a cliff and landing on top of an enemy tank of any tier. The weight of your tank will crush and destroy the enemy (you need to survive for the achievement to pop). Some tanks are better than others but generally you will have more success with tanks that are reasonably fast but also heavy (for their tier).
Good maps to try this on are from the high ground on Abbey, Cliff (obviously), El Halluf, Karelia, Komarin, Malinovka, Mines, Mountain Pass, Pearl River, Sacred Valley, Sand River, South Coast and Westfield
Here are some examples of how to go about it:
It's possible to do this in any tank if you squash the right enemy but it's generally not a good idea to try this on heavy tanks (unless you're in an even heavier tank) and best to go for anything else (light, medium, TD or artillery but the lighter the better). Some examples of good tanks for this at lower tiers are:
T18
M3 Stuart
M5 Stuart
M4 Sherman
T1 Heavy
Cruiser III
Cruiser IV
Pz. II or III (most variants)
Pz. III/IV
Leopard
T-34
KV-1S

You need to find a reasonably steep and non-rocky slope in the terrain of the map where you can drive off, to get yourself fully or partially on top of an enemy. Slopes near high-traffic areas increase your chances of finding an enemy there for you to attempt a crush kill. Your target should be a tank that weighs less, has less hit points or is smaller than your tank, to increase the likelihood that you will survive, as both tanks will receive collision damage. Each time you get into a match on a map with a good slope, make your way there and wait until an enemy passes by or waits at the bottom of the slope. It's better for you if a teammate spot them for you so you don't have to expose yourself to enemy fire, but you may have to inch your way over the edge to spot them yourself. Gently edge your tank over the edge of the slope until you're sure it's going in the right direction, then go full speed into the enemy. Take into account the time it will take for you to get over the edge and travel down the slope, as you need to make sure your tank stays on top of the enemy to continue dealing the collision/crushing damage, and not fall or slide off of the enemy. If you did it correctly, the achievement should pop shortly after the enemy tank is destroyed.
I would advise against trying this at any edges of terrain consisting of bare rocks, as these tend to cause your tank to land upside down or on its side, which will almost always destroy it from falling damage.
Here is a game-clip of me getting a crush kill on the map Airfield.
It's possible that in future there may be a special game mode or event that provides easier opportunities to get this achievement, so remember to try these out each time an event is on.
For me it took roughly a month of trying before I managed to do it successfully.
