I tried both methods and had problems.. The tier one medium does not do well against the T22 proto and the tank destroyer is just too inaccurate with a slow reload.
I used the tier 2 Loyd GC artillery, using this I got it first game one shotting all my targets even 2 tier 3's. Played another game straight after and did the same, I would say a far easier way to obtain this achievement! Hope this helps.

I got mine in my first game in the Cromwell.
The tank got a nice and punchy gun - you can easily surround enemies and kill them with ease.
Sniping is also possible but this tank is made for cqc.
The tank is insanely fast, so relax at the beginning of the match. Your task is to hunt down enemy rushers and clean the endgame.
Lowtier games can end fast once you catch a bullet. You can oneshot enemies, they can one shot you aswell

You can get this achievement with the Tier 1, Medium 1 tank..(thats how i got it)
You need:
Medium 1 tank
Vickers Medium Mk IA*
Supplies, change shell type to...High-Explosive Common Shell
You can kill your targets with 1 shell, you can also just let your team damage the enemy/enemies and you finish them off, remember it works in Tier 1 battles 7 vs 7, happy hunting

As I mentioned on the Xbox 360 version of this achievement, an easy way to get this is using the Tier III Tank Destroyer, the Valentine AT.
If you upgrade to the Valentine AT Mk II* (the package with the Howitzer), you can pretty much one shot anything if you are top tier.
This tank would also be a great way of getting the Grim No More achievement.
