How to unlock the Maker of Labyrinths achievement in World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap - Definitive Guide
This is a rather quick and easy achievement, I got this without ever touching the base game.
From the main menu, go down and select editor. This will bring up a new screen where you need to hit to create a new map. Name it whatever you'd like and then you will see a map editor.
Use to navigate the menu on the right and select chaos portal. Place 8 using and . Then use and select gate. I placed four gates down under every other chaos portal and didn't cross any paths but I believe it's probably possible to do this with only one gate. When you have placed a gate, use and hover over monster paths. Use to select a monster path and to get the cursor over a chaos portal. Press to create a start point on the chaos portal and use to bring the cursor over a gate. Hit once more to complete the path and a red line should appear. Press to go back to a map editor menu (make sure to save your changes when prompted).
On this menu, select the third option, "monster groups". Here, press to create a new group and name it whatever you'd like. Then use to edit group, select a monster and add at least 1 monster to the group. and save your changes to get back to the editor menu.
Now select the fourth option "wave". On this new screen use to choose a monster group, select which group you want and place the group on a path. Waves are displayed at the top of the screen and will allow you to select the next wave. Add at least 1 monster group to all 6 waves. and save your changes one last time. Back at the map editor menu, you can select option 6, "finalize", publish your map using the finalize button at the bottom and the achievement should pop.
Let me know if I can do anything to improve/shorten this guide.

When creating your custom map for "Guardians of the Ink" make sure you also set up 8 Chaos Portals with valid routes to the base, and six waves of enemies. You can simply use the same group of enemies six times, just make sure you stagger them time-wise so they count separately.
