How to unlock the Invincible achievement in World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap - Definitive Guide

Maximum difficulty on scenario gives the following effects

Enemies drop less essence 45%
Trap upgrades are more expensive 60%
Your base starts with less hitpoints 90%
Enemies are faster 30%
Your hero gains less mana/rage/focus 45%
Traps deal less damage 30%
Enemies have more hitpoints 45%
potions are less effective 75%
Enemies have a chance to respawn 45%

the easiest level to do this on is the first level. I did it with a friend as us both mercenary's at lvl 40 and 41. There wasn't any point we were to overwhelmed and there's only three lanes all leading to the same choke point. Just keep an eye on your health

Strange. I have experienced some getting stuck on the left hand side but they never made me fail. Seems this game still has several glitches.

I'm a Level 46 merc and get overwhelmed on wave1 by the big heavy quad thingis.

Anytone got any suggestions as to the trap strat? Mine was essence max turret and wolf spawn in centre, with turrets and icefield further back towards the spawn trenches.

This really isn't a solution. How did you do it? What traps were used? Did you only survive because you were doing it co-op? A little more detail would be appreciated.

Is anyone else having difficulty getting this to unlock? I have completed several maps at difficulty 27 in both single and multiplayer. When I finished the multiplayer map my friend unlocked the achievement but I did not. I have also tried clearing my cache which did not help. Any suggestions?

The first level was pretty easy lv 40 sorc solo, but for some reason enemies kept getting stuck on the left side of the map. Apparently if you leave them there too long you auto-lose. I finished the last wave besides those that were stuck and on my way over to them, they seemed to glitch out and end the match in failure. No clue what that is all about...

The solution for this achievement by "Korean Jesus IX" is absolutely fine.

I just want to add something which might make it a lot easier for everyone who wants to get this done:

- play level 1 (darkmoor)
- be prepared for 4 waves with almost all enemies respawning after being killed the first time
- if you're playing mercenary use wolves at the choke point in the middle
- at the very end of wave four there will be two bosses (they might also respawn once after you kill them), they freeze you so deal with them as quickly as possible
- the two bosses frequently spawn a few smaller enemies (flying squids) which might get past you to reach the gate, so stay right at the choke point in the middle

I recommend to be somewhere around level 80. You should aswell own a few godlike items, it will become much easier once you have good equipment.

To set a scenario at maximum difficulty, you need to put three stars into all nine of the challenges. This will set the difficulty to 27, and basically mean an instant fail if even one monster gets through. You'll get less essence and rage, enemies have a chance to come back to life, traps do less damage and cost more to upgrade, and enemies move faster. Essentially, it's just harder overall.

The best way to get this by far is in co-op on the first level. If you have a high level friend or two, they can patrol the lanes or just wait at the choke point, while you sit back and earn a free achievement. If you're going for this solo, you'll want to focus your skills points on survivability. Anything dealing with health or resistances is important. Don't be afraid to retreat if you're taking damage and let your health regen and skills cool down, then wade back into the action.
