How to unlock the Mission impossible achievement in World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap - Definitive Guide
To make this easier the key really is leveling up both your skills and your traps. Play a few rounds of endless mode to level your character. I reached wave 40 which gave nearly 3million xp. Then try and get 3 stars on all of the earlier tier maps. Doing this will really help you.
Rather than blindly selecting traps Make sure before starting each map that you read the advice section, this will usually tell you the type of enemy. Then build your traps accordingly.
Upgrade your armor and Weapon whenever possible and instead of selling surplus items always salvage to give plenty of resources. Upgraded armor can have a massive effect on the game.
Utilise all of your skill and trap points. If you have lots of points in a skill you hardly use then reset the skill and invest elsewhere.
If you are unable to beat the map then reset your trap points and tailor them to that map.
strategy for final map
Most of tier 4 maps are straightforward however the final map is difficult. You are only allowed to build summon traps and you have very limited resources.
Reset all trap points and fully upgrade each summon to the max. In Your inventory choose trap upgrades cards which boost summon. When the map starts switch game speed to normal. Buy the first two service stations then buy 2 essence salvagers. Start the first wave as soon as you have the funds keep buying essence machines. You should be able to complete the first wave without any traps. During wave 2 by one or two werewolf and reanimatir traps.
Try to keep central and make use of the teleporters. By the time wave 3 starts you should have bought all of the essence machines. Begin buying your traps I found werewolves and reanimators useful. Invest in a skill which boosts trap performance and activate it when you are overun.
Keeping the game speed down to normal gives you lots of time to assess where you are needed. Keep central and don't stray far from teleporters. Make sure you fully upgrade your traps and priortise based on where the action is. As I was staying in centre i invested in the end traps first so I. wouldn't need to keep going from side to side.
I was a sorceress I breezed through every map on tier 4 however this final map Took 3 attempts. The keys are game speed, buying the essence salvagers early reseting your traps and maxing out all summon traps.
Each of the Tiers in the game offer an increasing challenge. During Tier 1, you can select Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulties, which will reward you with one, two, or three stars respectively for a clean run. During Tier 2, you can no longer select Easy. During Tiers 3 and 4, you can only select Hard. For this achievement, you simply need to complete the levels, though a separate achievement does require you to get three stars on all Tier 4 maps, so to avoid redoing any work later, attempt to finish Tier 4 when you're a higher level so you only have to do the levels one time at this difficulty.
For the majority of the levels, you should be able to stick to your favorite traps types and use the same strategy. However, the last few levels have a limited number of trap types, so you'll have to respec your traps accordingly. The last level seems extremely difficult, but can be cheesed very easily. During the first wave, purchase all the essence collectors, then kill all the enemies except the last giant type, and let him attack you for about ten minutes. At Level 100, he won't actually hurt you, and you can max your essence to upgrade every trap on the map. Have your Monster Cage and Winter Queen maxed out, and place a line of monster cages up front followed by a line of Queens, then another line of Monster Cages at the top of the stairs and more Winter Queens. The AEO of the Queens is imperative to beating this level.
