How to unlock the Overflow achievement in World of Warships: Legends - Definitive Guide

This is a very annoying one to get. The British ships seem to be the best to as you can shoot your torps one at a time. I found in other nations i would do so much damage with one volley i could not get 50% flood damage. plus you have to contest the kills with kill greedy team mates.

Two methods

one. set fire to the target ship and wait for it to use repair party. then hit it with a torp to get a flood. for this you need to be able to hit it with the torp asap to get the longest duration flood.

Two. use a boost partner. Set you xbox so it will not be cross platform.

(Press the guide button, nav right to System tab, then choose settings.
In settings, nav to Account, then choose Privacy & online safety. Choose "Xbox Live Privacy". Choose 'View details & customize". Choose "Communication & multiplayer".
Select "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live" and set it from allow to block.)

then play till you are on opposing teams i assume you can both get it in the same match. play a cruiser each with torps, low tier woulds be best. then just hit each other with one torp and hope for a flood. once the flood has run it length torp each other again to both kill each other.

You could also be very lucky and come across a afk ship which is a great target to get this achievement on

Just now finally got this! I was running a US Tier V Ranger Aircraft Carrier, and hit an opposing afk battleship a couple times with upgraded Torpedo Bombers, she went belly-up and I got my achievement! toast

Minimum 2 players both selecting the following ship type and class;

- Emerald, Tier 4. Why? It's sequential fire torp ability, and has a heal

Both players need to set themselves as a division leader. Why? Holding A on the countdown of 3, 2. 1 seems more efficient than pressing A. Having the same ship type and class guarantees matchmaking puts you on opposing teams.

What next?

If matchmaking blesses you both by placing you on opposite teams, both sail away and around the map to a designated grid, praying that your friendly ships stay out of the way. If all works out well so far, both players make sure you disable your secondary battery, and get as close as you can. Stay roughly 3/4km away and smoke up. This is because assured detectability is 2km. The player going for 'Overflow', should coordinate a torpedo strike on the other emerald, and flooding is pretty much guaranteed as the Emerald has next to no torpedo protection. Allow the flooding to commence and activate the heal to counteract the damage. Hopefully this exceeds 50%, confirm with the other player the damage count and approximately evaluate the % of damage. Then make sure you finish off the other ship with your torps and 'Overflow', should unlock.

This all sounds a bit complex, but it really isn't. Effective communication, basic game knowledge and some common sense should prevail. GLHF

It’s easier to do it on British destroyers with tube-launched torpedoes.

Friendly players often prevent you from making this trophy. Therefore, I took a Tier II, III destroyer, Germany (preferably) and Britannia, clawed along the edge of the map to the rear and attacked battleships or, at worst, cruisers.
To begin with, after launching torpedoes, you can try to set it on fire so that the player uses up the emergency team. After the hit, we spin around and wait for the flooding to stop. We attack again. As a result, the ship should be flooded and this damage should be more than 50%.
It happens that sometimes someone doesn’t play and the ship stands still, this is a GIFT of fate. The main thing is that the neighbors don’t arrive in time.
As a result, I did it on an active ship, but friendly players did not allow it on a stationary one.

The trophy is very random and depending on your luck, someone gets it at the very beginning and someone gets it after 1600 battles.
I bought 3 aircraft carriers, American, Japanese, German, all third level. In general, it can probably be any level, but level 3 is cheaper. Why 3? On average, reconnaissance from one end to the other takes 5 minutes, which means that with 3 you will not wait for the ship to leave the battle. The captains' perks are all for torpedoes (speed, damage, etc.).
In general, we are looking for a fight with a standing cruiser, if there is no such thing, throw torpedoes at the nearest ship for the sake of decency and get out. Don’t waste time trying to sort out existing ships, it’s always a matter of randomness whether the player will be experienced or will lose his ship to you through flooding. As soon as we find a stationary cruiser, we throw torpedoes at its stern and only there, this is the most vulnerable part for flooding, and you need to aim so that only one torpedo hits, otherwise it won’t work. When the flooding begins, fly away from the ship at a distance so that it leaves your field of vision (but not too far), otherwise other players will see it and someone will definitely want to finish it off. The damage is shown in the upper right corner, and we use it as a guide. Once the damage has stopped, we return to the ship and repeat the same thing. If the damage is already more than 80%, you can safely hit anywhere and finish off, the flooding will still be counted. I purposefully took 5 days of about an hour of play. If I knew exactly how to act before this, I would have done it sooner. I met cruisers that were already stationary, but I always hit the center and the flooding did not occur. I also met battleships, but they are too thick, I won’t even write about destroyers. By the way, I tried to make the trophy myself by playing Esmas, it’s also complete randomness and pain. So the best and most workable option is aircraft carriers.

I made a trophy on an aircraft carrier, flew and hit one battleship target with torpedo bombers, because it is thick.

This hint doesn't work. The battleship is sooooo thick and it is sooooo difficult for it to cause flooding. If we talk about Aviks, then it is best to look for a fight with a stationary ship and hit it in the stern. 100% it must be a cruiser, then there is a chance that everything will go quickly and no one will finish it off.
