Not too difficult this achievement, just requires a little bit of time. You level up weapons by getting zombie kills and headshots with them. Do you have to unlock both skill trees? I upgraded my assault rifle to a level 5 but it didn't pop.

This isnt really meant as a guide (look to JJR0906's above guide for that) but more so a piece of advice to newer players like myself who thought they'd have to spend more time and credits than they'd have to in order to level up and upgrade weapons.
When the game 1st came out, each weapons max level was 5. Since then, they've updated the game and doubled the max level for all weapons pushing it to 10. However, that DID NOT change the requirements for this achievement. You still only need to reach and unlock level 5 for any given weapon in order to net you this achievement.
