How to unlock the Winner in life achievement in World War Z - Definitive Guide

Not sure if this glitched in some sort of way, or not. But when I got this I was not the highest scoring player in the game, but I was the highest scoring player on my team. We had also won the match, which it doesn't say is a requirement to earn the achievement.

Update: after testing Grimace has confirmed what he and I both experienced. That is that you only have to be the highest scoring player on your team. Win, or lose, it doesn't matter. Not sure if this is intended, so it could be patched in the future. So grab a group and take turns being the highest scorer. Good luck!!

After having had this happen to me, I tested with my wife and kids. We got in a lobby, and three of us held back and let the other do the work. I can say one hundred percent you only have to be in the lead for your team, win or lose you will get the achievement, even if the other team has a massive lead. I would definitely update your solution to reflect this. Also for anyone who doesn't have this yet, definitely grab it this way before they patch it, if it is indeed a bug.

Same exact thing happened to me, so whether a glitch, or intentional, this does net you.the achievement if you are the highest on your team.

That being said... In theory, you could group with three friends, and have them not do much so you get the most points?

I was the highest scoring person in Scavenge Raid by a large margin, and no achievement. Maybe that mode does not count, idk.

I got mine in swarm domination. That's the only mode I've played PvP so far.

Does not work in all modes, since points are not the leading indicator of all modes.
An example would be capturing points. Per capture +150, get kills and assists +50/+25

Winning the match is not necessary, the most important thing is first place among your team.
