How to unlock the Oldest Swinger in Town achievement in Worms 2: Armageddon - Definitive Guide

The absolute fastest way to get this achievement is to enter training mode. Add girders on either side of your worm so that the worm is in a small box between two girders. Select the ninja rope, aim at one of the girders, and start tapping fire. The worm will shoot the rope at one girder and then the other, very quickly - by setting the girders in place you make it so the rope doesn't have to travel very far - and you will have the achievement in five or ten minutes, depending on how fast you can tap the button.

it would be helpful to know which of the six training modes to enter. I assume you mean Training 2?

And also it would be helpful If you have a turbo controller. So you don't have to tap a.

@JMJimmy Stop irritating people. It must be done in Firing Range 1.

Totally unrelated, but I have to point out the sheer absurdity of telling someone off from 11 years ago ⬆️

TA never ceases to amaze.

Your comment is absurd. You are playing a game which is 14 years old. Where is the difference? At least my comment helps other people.

TA never ceases to amaze me as well...

Of course it is. That's what TA is all about toast. Could also stand for Toxic Assholes wink. I had to delete my last comment though because that other person deleted his as well.

I still find this hilarious Orran. I legit didn't understand the game at the time so it wasn't clear what the solution was talking about. How you interpreted asking for clarification as "irritating people" gives me a laugh every time this comes up.

Nothing to say against asking questions. What gives me a laugh every time I read your original post is why you assume the solution refers to Training stage 2. The OP says to add girders on either side close to your worm. Training stage 2 doesn't even have girders at disposal. That's not too hard to figure out and that's why I have clarified this for other people who still play this game and read the comments of this solution.

Lol IIRC I assumed map 2 because it has a girder on the bottom left of the map and I was unclear on how to do it on map 1 (I forget why, I just remember girder being greyed out at the start). So not toxic, just confused at the time

The 2nd worms game I started was in 2011, after that 2010 post but whatever. Since you insist on being a dick after all these years, I booted it up and this: https://ibb.co/8XrVKcC is why I was confused. The first training does not have girders to place. The 2nd training has the rope which you can use without any girders (ceiling is close enough). The 4th training (Firing Range 1) is what lets you place girders from the start. I had no way of knowing that based on the original solution, did I?

I didn't even end up using the solution, I just booted firing range 2 and swung around

@JMJimmy: If you did the same little research effort back then you wouldn't have assumed that the solution including the girder method refers to Training stage 2. That just proves my point and was not so hard to figure out for yourself, wasn't it? But since you insist on being a clueless dick yourself: of course you can do this in whatever level you have the rope and a ceiling but the girder method is the fastest way to get it when the girders are placed close above the worm's head. A ceiling can be high up.

@Nomstuff: As mentioned above. Do whatever you want to get the achievement, the solution just describes "the absolute fastest way to get this achievement"

Lol Idk what you are talking about. There are no girders on Training stage 2. It's a piece of equipment you can use to protect yourself or to cross gaps in many Worms games. The solution clearly says "add girders" which makes it obvious that you have to place it actively but it is not available in the level you mentioned (it's just not present in the equipment menu, so not greyed out). Anyway, easy to understand even if you are not familiar with Worms - which I don't believe btw since you played more Worms games than me actually.

The part about Toxic Assholes was a joke and a pun of the abbreviation TA, see the smiley emoticon wink in the same sentence in my previous comment...jeez (but apparently there is a piece of truth in that joke, lol)

Just go to a local game and start a game of rope racing then tap A with the Ninja Rope out as fast as you can.

Yet another achievement that can easily be gained in Training. From the Main Menu, select Training -> Firing Range 3. Once the game has loaded, bring up the weapons panel with and select the Girder with . Close the weapons panel and twist the Girder with until it is vertical. Move the Girder to your left and lock it into place with . Do exactly the same thing again, but place the Girder on your right. Once there is a vertical Girder either side of your worm, bring up the weapons panel again and select the Ninja Rope. Aim at the top of either Girder and keep tapping . You’re worm should keeping switching sides. Keep tapping until the achievement unlocks.

Again, this trophy will come over time. The definition of "using" the Ninja Rope is firing the first shot of it. This does NOT need to be done in a Ranked Match (though if it is used in these matches, it will count,) so if you’re looking to speed this up, you can simply enter the Firing Range and use the rope there - you'll have an unlimited number of them. SandeProElite has suggested the following tip for maximum efficiency:
The fastest way to get this trophy in 5 minutes is to enter the Firing Range, drill a hole and keep spamming Cross18x18.png Reason you want to drill a hole is because the next rope shot will fire to the opposite direction always, so when there's a wall at both sides it's easy and fast to get the trophy.

Elementarily boosted at training level Firing Range 3.

Method one: in one of the hills, for example, we make a pothole with dynamite, crawl in, hit the ceiling with a rope and spam until you're blue in the face.

Method two: place a vertical beam on each side of you, target the top of any of them and spam again

Why waste time on this? You can simply get it while passing the game, and if you didn’t receive the trophy during the passage, you will definitely get it in a network game.
