How to unlock the Ding achievement in Worms Battlegrounds - Definitive Guide

Ding

Me and 2 other people tested what it took to get this achievement, swapping wins, it took 2 league match wins in a row to obtain this achievement.

KeLvInD 's experience:

FoolsAndKings:

According to B8TINGU you don't even have to play a game, as long as your clan does the work you will get the achievement by the clan leveling up:

definitely takes more than 2 sometimes, played 3 and no achievement. Did you guys kill each others worms or just surrender at the start?

I can add to this.

Played 2 vs 1 (2 player team winning) and it took us 2 games starting from lvl 1 to rank up to lvl 2.
After we swapped and it took 3 games to get the others to rank up.

We did play all games by finishing all worms, either by hurting them enough or to prod them into the water.

This works on "Friendly Matches". You need to kill the other team not just have them quit out. The more damage you do the better the XP for the match +1

You also don't have to play a game at all. As long as your in a clan that levels up, once the data is updated to the servers leave to the main menu and then go back into the Battleground game type check your clan hub and the achievement will unlock without you ever having to play a single game.

When I tried to start a league match it crashed the game, (on both of my Xbox's too! I was double boxing.)

I got this in a 1 v 1 clan match. There was 4 of us but the servers wouldn't work to allow a 2 v 2 clan match so we all had to do 1 v 1. We all got the achievement.

To all playing from 2024 onwards, the servers are very bad at recording stats but the achievment still unlocked on time. This was despite my stats showing as 0 except for community points - they showed up. I just had to get 5 wins in a row.

Can anyone confirm the minimum number of players needed to do this? The example states 2 V 1 but we found that we couldn't launch a clan game without 2 members being available from the same clan (so 4 in total)

We found the game glitches when you try to invite friends to your clan. The best thing to do is to agree a region to search for clans and pick your clans from the list. You can then match against each other.

For this achievement, you need to rank your clan up in Battlegrounds

This can be done with only two people. Me and a friend did this, and we were both level 1 clans. I went first, when I won games I got 17 exp a game. He went after I leveled and he got 10 exp a game.

If you want to know how much exp you need, you can look in your clan hub under clan stats. After each win, we gained about 21% of the experience needed to level up.

You do not gain experience for losing a match. According to perceptron3000, you can now gain experience from losing a match, which should make earning this go faster!

It seems exp gained may vary, and hopefully people can confirm or add to this, but it took me 5 wins to level, and 4 for him. This could be because I was a higher level.

Of note, we played well over 4 games for my friend. He did not earn exp in about 2-3 games. This could be because of worms not taking any damage before surrendering, or it could be just the game being glitchy. If someone could confirm that would be great.

Also I'm not sure if you gain more exp for playing with more than two people or not, but this is the best way to do it with only two people

Please let me know how I can improve this or if you need any clarification.

That's a good guide. The only thing I would note is that you actually do get progress towards the clan rank for losing a game. My stats were at 92% and after losing the next match I got the achievement, so the game must have awarded me at least the missing 8% for this lost match.

Oh weird, they may have changed that it in a title update because me and my friend would check after every loss and nothing. So i'll change that thanks!

Hello everyone,

I got the achievement today and it took about half an hour with the following method. My partner and I alternated between hosting and joining clan matches (non-friendly ones). We discovered if the host of the match surrenders (use the white flag) no one gets xp for the match. However if the winner hosts the match and the one who joins surrenders the host of the match gets 10 xp (this way you don't have to actually play a match just alternate surrenders). It also only took both of us three matches each using this method to level up. It should also be noted if doesn't unlock after the third match just back out of the match selection screen to the clan menu and it should unlock then (as it did for me). I know some of this information seems contradictory to the info above but maybe they changed the xp system in a patch. Either way this is my first guide and I hope it helps people out :). Please message me if you think anything needs to change and have a lovely day

Worked great, one thing I noticed when doing this though is that it didn't seem to give any points if no damage was taken by the surrendering team. So when placing worms it might be a good idea to have the surrendering player place them high in the air so that when they land they'll take some damage.

Also had to back out to the menu to get it to unlock so thanks for the extra tip :)

If there's water in the level, you can have the losing person just place all their worms in the water and they will instantly lose once the match starts.

Glitched

For this trophy you need to play so many matches as part of your own clan so you can gain community points and level up, progress can be checked in Clan Hub > My Stats, it will show progress toward the next level. I levelled up after 5 League match wins.

This trophy is somewhat glitched whereby the servers do not currently acknowledge league match victories straight away. After checking your stats you may notice there is no record of your win, rest assured though as it can still be obtained if you start the game again after several hours or the following day by going in to the Battlegrounds menu. It will have added the community points and contributed to your clan level, still enabling you to earn the trophy.

You can boost this in the same way as Steamroller.

First, make sure that you have created or joined a clan. Your clan will level up by winning League matches online. You will also gain experience if you lose, but not nearly as much as a win. You can check your clan's level progress in the Clan Hub under Clan Stats.
