How to unlock the Let the Bodies Hit the Floor achievement in Worms Battlegrounds - Definitive Guide

This is easy, but grindy,

The fastest way for me was on the Inca map. I took the airstrike loadout for both worms.

Use airstrikes on multiple worms, bunker busters on single if you can't easily hit with a bazooka or shotgun.

I was averaging 35 worms a game (55-60k score), so it took 7-8 games to do.

The achievement pops when the match has finished after your 250th kill.

Edit - reloading a checkpoint appears not to work. You must finish the round for them to count.

what type of worms did you use to get the airstrike?

When you start a Bodycount match, you can change the loadouts for worms by selecting the worm and pressing A I believe. Choose the loadout that gives additional airstrikes and bunker busters for both.

Also, I'm wondering if the kills are tracked in the achievement tracker? Mine aren't, and I don't want to continue if it is glitched.

Can you please add to your guide to avoid anyone else doing it... :-( I tested whether you could reload a checkpoint and keep killing a group.. I did over 250 that way, and nothing popped--I ended up having to do 250 legit going by the kill count at the end of the match--that's the only thing that counts. Hopefully save someone else wasting time trying to shortcut the method. :-)

Can you get a few kills and end kill your worms off and end the round? Will the worms i killed still count?

As far I found, the only thing that counts is the kill count in the end of mission screen--if you see that, it counted. :-)

I've been playing for 4 hours straight and no pop. No tracking.

I've played this mode other nights as well. It is my last achievement for this damn game. Wasn't supposed to take this long.

I also don't understand what people are talking about with reload from checkpoint. There are no checkpoints in body count.

This is a sketchy achievement. Maybe an update has ruined it. I've played for 7 hours averaging 30-50 kills per session. Some by water, some by air strike, some by water balloon bomb. 45 kills on the end screen after they finally get me. I hit continue....not retry.

Nothing. WTF. Alien Invasion is just more money out of my pocket. Yea the story was fun. Fix the achievements you out there. Or don't put them there at all.

Anyone else had issues with this?

No, it's not a stuck achievement, it's not registering.

I might try deleting my save from the cloud and locally and try to earn it again. I'll even do another marathon session if that's what it takes...

Are there any kills that don't count? Like falling into the water, a worm killing its teammate, drowning deaths?

I wish I new what to tell you :-( That really stinks.. hmm. Are you doing it in Alien Invasion for sure? I can't remember if you can do bodycount in regular and Alien Invasion.

Yep definitely Alien Invasion. I have the 83rd best score on the Incan map for bodycount right now. I think that match I probably had 60 kills.

I'll play one more match before I delete all my saves and lose my campaign progress in both the normal game and the DLC.

This is my last achievement, so I'm not too concerned about progress.

To this date I was able to get it without completing it in one sitting. Got 106 kills today and unlocked.

So At the end of my game where I got this unlocked the leaderboard was still loading and nothing popped, I thought that this should have been the game for it to unlock, and when the leaderboard finally loaded, so did the achievement, maybe it would be best to wait till the leaderboard has loaded before continuing, so that the kills definitely count?

What H3rmitard said, wait for the leaderboards to load up. By doing so, you will unlock it as I just did myself

Wish I counted all my kills! Feels like it just refuse to unlock and yes I wait each time until it has finished loading. I get like 30 kills each game. I should have this by now. Well, perhaps one more game. This seems weird!

Negative! Please don´t do the same mistake I did and only check this solution/guide. Go and check the other one. It can be buggy and won´t unlock. So go for retry instead of continue and do it preferable in one session.

I would suggest to use Japan (top right) as your map. You can occupy your spawn area (with the totem) and pick worms one by one. Killing worms will make new ones spawn and I don't think they ever spawn in the same spot where the last one died. This, sometimes, results in enemy worms getting grouped up together and when that happens, you want to use your air strikes to get multi kills. I've been able to get penta-kills this way. And trust me, you want to keep getting multikills, it will make your life so much easier and this achievement a lot speedier.

OPTIONAL SOLUTION:

After first attempting solution one on this site it wasn't working...no way to explain other than I had hundreds of kills without it tracking.

Here are my steps (not all may be needed if you do this straightaway instead of playing through the dlc first):

1). Fail at solution 1, you tried and just can't get it to unlock.
2). You're ready to get your last achievement because this removes your progress from everything.
3). Go to Xbox One dashboard and go to blu-Ray settings, find the option to clear out your persistent data, do it.
4). Remove worms battlegrounds and dlc from your system.
5). When removing save data, when prompted, remove from local storage and cloud.
6). Reinstall Worms Battleground and Alien Invasion.
7). Start Worms, exit the intro game and get to the menus.
8). Go local, Alien Invasion, Bodycount, Inca.
9). Play and get as many kills as possible.
10). When finished screen comes up, HIT RETRY, NOT CONTINUE. (I had hundreds of kills selected on continue and it did not pop).
11). Keep track on a scrap piece of paper, here is my game log

33 - retry
27 - retry
33 - retry
35 - retry
31 - retry
42 - retry
43 - retry (total now at 243)
21 - completion screen comes up and pops.

Wish I had seen this! I have so many kills now and it just refuse to unlock. I can´t do what you suggested but I will do everything in one go and just go with retry then. Omg, this is so bad.

But I really do question if you really need to remove the save data etc! If you just start doing retry in one sitting you should perhaps still get it. That is what I am hoping leaving the console on overnight. Also the bad part is that this game crash a lot and you will be put to the dashboard making this even worse.

Reached 250+ in one session and achievement did not unlock. However the game refused to continue and I did restart one match. Not sure if that affected it. This is bullshit.

EDIT: Decided to give it another go! Did more than 250 kills in a row and no achievement.

Now I just deleted my save data from cloud and there was no save data on the hard drive because I did play on my external hard drive so the old save should hopefully still be there. (It wasn´t somehow so I had to play the entire main game again since I had one level left and also just one level left for the mission ops thing).

If you don´t know how to delete cloud save or data here is a very good video on youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2NKzpLTdLs

INCA LEVEL USING 2 SOLDIERS AND ALWAYS RETRY:
(Also instead of trying to survive and play well I instead just tried to be quick and get many kills each time even if it would sacrifice my soldier).

Game 1 = 30
Game 2 = 23 / 53
Game 3 = 25 / 78
Game 4 = 27 / 105
Game 5 = 37 / 142
Game 6 = 32 / 174
Game 7 = 27 / 201
Game 8 = 41 / 242
Game 9 = 24 and thought no achievement and after waiting a few more seconds it finally unlocked. Thank you so much for this solution.

The best tactic i found is playing on the "Japan" map. Use both worms and position them right on top of the blue magnet. This will often prevent getting hit by most of the enemies weapons that get distractet by the magnet. Vice versa, if you want to use those kind of weapons, you'll have to leave the magnets radius of operiation yourself.

Also note: Enemy worms will not spawn in flooded areas. So use any water related weapon to flood as many areas of the map as you can. This way you can decrease the enemies terrain which makes it easier to hit them, when they are concentrated on a few spots.

But remember. Killing 250 Worms can take a long time. And you'll need to play many rounds, if you are not the Uber Worm Killer.

For this trophy you must kill a total of 250 worms in Bodycount matches, thankfully this is cumulative so you do not have to earn this in one go. This will probably take around 2 hours, I recommend the Japan map and trying and get as many multi kills as possible, you should average 20-30 kills per match.

This can be done over multiple games. There is no stat tracker, so you can keep track manually, or just play until it unlocks. You will average around 20–25 kills a game, so this shouldn’t take too long.

For a simpler boost, select the “Soldier” class of both worms. They have more area damage weapons, which encourages multikills.
