I already made a custom team but it didnt popped, then i made a team controlled by AI with custom clothes and then i got the cheevo, for creating a AI team just go to "create a team" and then you see something like "do you want this team controlled by AI", click no, just add clothes to the worms et validate, very easy!

To make it work I had to buy some items from the store (Costs 0). Equipped them, accept and the achievement unlocks. Same team I used with default items but the achievement didn't pop. I haven't tried your method but I assume it works. Buggy achievement this.

I had the same problem and fixed it the same way, but I didn't have to buy anything from the store. The difference was I put a mustache on my second AI controlled team. and no facial hair on the first team I created. I think you have to fill all slots on apearance customization to include facial hair.

Click on 'My Worms', click on ' Customize'. Make it a player-controlled team as the achievement did not unlock for me when I made a A.I controlled team first.
Put your own clothes on every part of your worm and the achievement will unlock after you name your team.
