How to unlock the Worm Community achievement in Worms - Definitive Guide

As of 2009 there are still a lot of people playing this game online. You're more likely to quickly get a 4 player match going if you play on a weekend and you should host your own game to make sure you get all four players. The achievement pops as soon as you start the match. I got mine on a player match and those seem to have more people playing at any given time than ranked.

UPDATE: It is now 2015, nobody plays this game anymore, and the Xbox 360 is on its way out. You will have to either create a gaming session or PM gamers who have this on their to-do list. Please do not fill the comments section with "PM me if you want to knock this out" comments. That's not the purpose of the comments section and those posts will (eventually) be deleted by TA staff.

Do you know the best time to go online to get this achievement? Its the only one i need now and every time i go on there is no more than 3 people online ever, no matter what time i go on at. Any ideas dude?

Was just starting a session to boost, but then I checked to see how many people were playing. As of 15/03/2011, it seems there are still many players. I joined a 4 player match instantly.

Please don't post in an achievement's comment thread when you need to boost. That's what boosting sessions are for.

I created a player match and where you select the rules type (beginner, intermediate, etc.) I chose ranked. Three people joined within about 5 minutes. So try those settings if struggling to get enough people to join as it seemed to work much better than other settings. I did this 2/5/12 just before midnight (EST in the U.S.) if anyone is curious.

7/31/12 Made a player match, chose ranked as well for gametype. Got four players in about ten minutes. People do still play this game, and they get really impatient when you don't start the game right away if there aren't four players!

16-3-2013 (saturday) Multiplayer is completely deserted. After trying to join matches and getting bumped to hosting; been waiting for 20 minutes without even a single player joining.

Don't post here if you are looking to get the achievement. Either create a game session or PM the people listed in "want to boost".

I am currently trying to get this, and I've only seen one guy online all weekend. I told him my plan and he waited about two minutes then wished me good luck and left. I seem to have no luck joining games, as it always brings me to the hosting screen, I can guess this is dead?

You can try cloning this one if you want:

To clone a session, click the three menu dots in the top-right, then 'Clone Session'

When finally four guys enter in game, I been kicked from the game and the message "this game is not more avaiable" appers to me, I don't know why, the guys took the achievement and I can't take it, the game bug to me somehow. Damnangrycry

The achievement pops as soon as you start a match with four players: it's fine if you all quit straight afterwards

Therefore it's quite easy for a large number of people to get this in a single session. If you're reading this and still need the achievement, I suggest you set up a session for a month or two away and be clear that everyone who applies can get it, whether that's 4 or 5 or 20.

We got five people through in our session in about five minutes

EDIT: if you want to quickly make your own session, open this one, then select the menu (three dots), and 'Clone Session'

As of august, the servers dont work anymore and it's unknown when they will be on again it's been like this for a month or so. The achievement right now is unobtainable.

EDIT - Good news servers got back online don't know how much its gonna last.

Just host or join a game on xbox live that contains 4 players. It can be ranked or unranked just so long as there are three other players that start the game. It will unlock as soon as the round starts. Some people have had troubles with freezing before game starts. Waiting 30-45 seconds after everyone has joined and chosen teams before launching seems to help some with this. If this is proving difficult then get on the forums and organize to meet some people that also need the achievement.

Just become a game host and wait. I waited a long time, and it didn’t work out. You can invite friends to the game. Take action and get the achievement.
