How to unlock the Human Lover achievement in Wreckfest - Definitive Guide

Grab yourself a friend (or in my case a second account playing on a separate laptop) and go to 'Multiplayer' and 'Create a server'.
Make sure to go to the option and do the following;
- Set a server name
- Set a password
- Event type to Banger Race
- Change the max players to 2
- Number of laps to 1
In the select a track, choose a short looped track. I personally chose "Mudford Motorpark" oval.
When you're both in the game and cars selected, start the match, the player going for the win has to complete the one lap whilst the other player can simply "retire" from the menu, or can too complete the lap (if you're soloing it's quicker to retire).
When you've completed, return the lobby and restart the race, simply repeat this quick win another 19 times and the achievement is yours. It should take about 15 minutes of boosting to get the 20.
NOTE: The race must be played with another "Real" account, bots do not count towards the win progression.

As mentioned in the Xbox section guides, boosting this achievement with a friend works.
If, like me, your ping in the game is too high to actually play even with a friend, that friend forfeiting (provided you're only two players) counts towards the requirement.

With the addition of private servers now this trophy can be earned easily. Simply use the following settings when setting up your server and then invite your friend/booster.

Vehicle: Lawn Mower
Damage: Realistic
AI: None
Simply get the person not obtaining the trophy to drive straight forward and into the wall until wrecked. Rinse and repeat until the trophy is earned and then swap with the other person if necessary.
Note: Makes it easier if you have the credits to fully upgrade your lawn mower as you normally wreck after one hit of the wall. Not necessary though!

Any online event counts as long as there is at least one other human player involved so if you pick empty lobbies against the AI, make sure there is at least one human present else that match won't count towards the trophy. The other human players also have to finish the race for it to count. I have had numerous races screwed because the other player decided to quit halfway through as they faced reality of not being able to win. One must assume that those who decide to join empty lobbies are in it for the trophy so beware of that.
Unfortunately there is no option for private lobbies in this game but you can go through the server browser and pick any one you would like. You and your boosting partner can pick an empty lobby or one with only a few in it to improve your chances of winning. Winning against the AI is a breeze so let player A win first, then B and so on. It’s even better if you’re three players boosting as you can kick anyone else who decides to join your lobby.
If you do it legit I recommend doing races over Demolition Derbys as they are less random. In general try to avoid wrecks as much as possible and stay clear of troll players who are just in it for the wrecking and making your life miserable. If you have done the career mode you will have unlocked cars and have the opportunity to upgrade them so you should have competitive cars. Some good cars to use is the Bandit Ripper (if you pre-ordered the game) or the bulldog. Just keep at it and eventually the wins will come over time.
UPDATE: As of November 2019 private lobbies have been added to the game so it is possible to boost the wins in private races, both with and without bots. See here for a boosting method, courtesy of waltdisneypixar and thedarkness91: LINK but do note that the servers are region locked.
