How to unlock the Blightweaver - Great Centipede achievement in WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers - Definitive Guide

Finding the Boss
At Shu Sanctum, you must first defeat the boss at the top floor of the temple:

This gives you a key to use the central mechanism which reveals a lower area. The boss is at the very bottom of this zone.

Fighting the Boss
general
He's most dangerous in the front with the majority of his attacks being his pinchers which do burn buildup too. He'll run around the arena stabbing the ground or jump and stab the ground or grab stab the ground. Just...that's what you watch.
He is not limited to this as he can still attack from the side or behind so be mindful. If he dashes while you're touching his side that will damage you.

He can also spray purple mist around him which deals corruption buildup (poison) so don't stand in it.

Sometimes he screams but as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything to you so free hits. Edit: this might be because I was wearing the Dracolich Pendant.

If he crashes into a pillar in the arena he gets stunned for more free hits.

magic
He summons a big blue magic circle. Don't go for free hits during this as it will summon several vertical lasers at you. Instead just start running in a large arch until it's done.

dig
At about 50% health he goes underground and chases you from below. As soon as the ground turns bright, dodge as he pokes up which does large damage if hit. You can outrun it but he is pretty good at catching you still. He'll do it a few times, and is capable of doing this again later.

miscellaneous
Be sure to return to Shu Sanctum after and talk to Tao Qing to increase his stock.

You can also return to Reverent Temple and talk to Xuanyangzi on the 2nd floor to progress his quest.

Not sure why this doesn’t have more upvotes, you provided everything but a build and equipment guide.

Tyman, no one is getting paid to write here. If you want build and equipment guides, go to the Powerpyx website.

No need to downvote other people's guides. This guide was well written, but I summarized it in my guide. I'm not going to play the game for you, Tyman.

Bro, you got downvoted because your guides are vague, saying “this boss isn’t too hard just keep at it” isn’t an adequate solution and you’re just going through every boss achievement doing the same thing. I upvoted FruitofPassion’s guide because it provides actual information. I am not trying to be mean here but you are not providing adequate guides. At a minimum, locations, some tips, and a basic explanation of boss mechanics would be a good start.

I get it, it feels bad to have a guide downvoted. Some of my early guides were as well (and knowing what I do now, they deserved it, I made mistakes out of ignorance, not laziness). If you want upvotes on your guides, look at this one and consider what you might do better. This is just my opinion but I see a pretty common consensus on these kinds of games, if your guides stay up as is they will get more downvotes until they’re hidden (the bosss guides at least, easier and simpler achievements obviously don’t often need complex guides).

Okay Tyman, in the next guide I'll say the boss is hard and I'll tell you to use the sword to hurt him. Is that okay with you?

Passive aggressive responses and guides, I don’t think you’re going to get a lot of love and I don’t just mean from me. You do you. But “it’s not a job it’s a game” is a weak argument for not doing a better achievement guide than some of the 3 sentence boss guides you’ve posted. If you want to hang your hat on it, I guess do what you want, I said my piece. Just remember you’re the one who got angry for being downvoted and came in here about it.

For some reason, this achievement took a long time to unlock, so be aware.

Make the boss destroy all the shock pillars first. Each time he destroys a pillar, he will be stunned, so attack him as much as possible.

I recommend leaving the fire buff on your weapon after he enters the ground for the first time to attack you, then dodge well and stay alive.

It's not a difficult boss, but you'll die like me trying to learn the moves. Good luck!
