How to unlock the Lord of Darkness achievement in WWE 2K14 - Definitive Guide
Lord of Darkness - 50G
Defend the Streak - Defeat 50 Superstars in a single match.
This is actually fairly simply as every 5 superstars you earn back some of your stamina and your wounds get healed down a full color bar.
Took me two tries to finish this but you need to counter a lot to keep your damage down as you climb in ranks.
I found it very easy to use the running DDT as the opponent entered the ring, hit them with it again as they were getting up, target their head with the limb targeting system, and finish them with a third DDT as they tried to get up.
Most people can actually be hit with the two DDTS, the head attack, then HOLD A when standing at their head while they are down and Undertaker can submit most people within 30-45 seconds.
EDIT - Edited stats do not carry over to this mode.
RE-EDIT - Changing difficulty does not impact this mode either.

You can also just target your opponents head and then try to make them to submit while they're on the ground and hold the (A) button near their or you can target their torso and try the torso submition which is mainly the method i used for the 30-0 achievement and I will repeat when I do the 50. just do your best to counter your opponents moves and if you do get pinned just try your best to kick out but there really isn't much to this achievement overall. Hope it helps and you can always refer to the other two methods listed ahead of me. Happy hunting :)

To unlock this achievement you will need to defeat 50 superstars in a single match of Defend the Streak mode.
I've found a way to make this much easier than people think. First a few points to keep in mind.
- Changing stats/abilities will not help in this mode.
- Changing the difficulty level within "My WWE" will not change the difficulty for this mode. BUT there is a way to change the difficulty making this much easier. To do this select "30 Years of Wrestlemania" then press "X" this will bring up the options menu specific to this mode. Change the difficulty setting here to Easy and there will be a noticeable difference in the amount of reversals.
- There are certain wrestlers who will reverse your running DDT more frequently.
- Kane
- John Cena
- Andre the Giant
- Big Show
- Great Kali
- Jinder Mahal
- Drew Mcintyre
- Heath Slater
- Ryback
- Diesel/Kevin Nash
- Yokozuna
- When these people enter the ring instead of running straight for the DDT stand close to the apron where they will enter and hit them with a few punches before going for the running DDT.
Now for the strategy...
You will regain health after every five competitors you eliminate the goal is to keep all body parts in the black for as long as possible. It is ideal to keep black until at least the mid 30's.
As soon as someone (as long as they are not mentioned above) enters the ring run towards them and grapple with "A" this will perform a running DDT to them injuring their head. You will need to do this twice to keep them down. Once they stay downed begin stomping them with "X" DO NOT try to target their limbs or use any ground grapples, they will possibly reverse these.
After getting a signature built up go ahead and use the signature and go for the pin. In the beginning rounds this should be enough to put away your opponent. If this does not do the job either give them another running DDT then pin or use your Tombstone Pile Driver Pin combo.
Eventually you will have two to three finishers built up. DO NOT be afraid to use them! The worst thing you can do is have three finishers saved and then build up a signature it is a waste. Try to time the use of your finishers right before you think you will be receiving a signature, after this many fights it gets very easy to figure out.
Once you get to 50 be warned no matter how weak this person traditionally is they are going to come out swinging. It is ideal to have two finishers ready to go if possible. I recommend the strategy mentioned above of standing near the apron and pummeling them with a barrage of strikes then hitting your Tombstone Pin combo. If they do not go down begin with the punches again and repeat, two finishers will finish them off positively.
Thanks to Honz Brix for this! Just wanted to add that for the 50th wrestler, have the 2 finishers saved up. Hit him with the punches as soon as he comes in the ring and hit the first finisher but do not do the pin combo which will allow him to get up when he kicks out and start attacking you. Instead do the tombstone and then use your wake up taunt to get him back to his feet leaving him stunned. Then deliver the 2nd tombstone and pin him on the 2nd one.
Hopefully this helps some people struggling with this achievement. The most important point to take from this is changing the difficulty within "30 Years of Wrestlemania" mode this will help tremendously.
If anyone has any questions or needs more clarification feel free to send me a message or comment and I will respond as best I can.

Make sure you changed the difficulty within the game mode not in My WWE. Also make sure you are standing on the right side of the ring waiting for the next opponent to come in and hit them with the running DDT as soon as they begin to stand up from sliding into the ring. Keep on the opponent constantly, it's cheap but as they are standing up from the first DDT hit them again. Unfortunately they will still reverse quite a bit at the later levels. At this point it requires lots of practice and focus as far as knowing when to hit the reverse button without being early/late. Lastly like mentioned in the solution when you get to 49 and 50 make sure you have Finishers stored to pin these opponents as soon as they come in the ring.
Keep at it! It will most certainly take multiple attempts but it's definitely doable. The way I did it was to give myself two tries if I didn't get it I'd take a break and come back to it at another time. If you try to do to much at once you end up rushing and making unnecessary mistakes. Good luck!

i tried both methods, they're fine until you get until 40 and only if your torso damage isn't moderate or critical because otherwise all that will happen will they will reverse you and ether pin you or try to submit you. what i finally after my 5th or 6th attempt at this i decided that i would DDT them twice (run towards the other superstar and press "A") then while they were on the ground continue kicking them on the ground "X" and then when they get up repeat until you get a signature then chokeslam and tombstone piledrive your opponent, if done successfully the person won't be able to kick out,
if they manage to reverse your DDT then quickly try to reverse them and continue using the method that i found useful, it all depends on who the final 10 superstars are and if they can reverse your DDTs or not.....i understand this method isn't for everyone and that some may not even look at this solution it all depends on your experience and hand eye co-ordination this is just the method i found finally worked. just make sure you don't let any body part get too injured or else the computer will instantly target that area in a submission i was fortunate enough to get to 40 without going past yellow damage on my limbs and i was lucky with my final 5 to get guys who couldn't counter my DDTs and then i still had two finishers for my final opponent which i handled withing 10 seconds, as well my method may take a little longer than the other two but it will hopefully get you to 40 without taking much damage.
Again i understand if this doesn't help you but this is just what helped me, i wish everyone luck with this achievement and the photos because they're the two aggravating achievements in this game if you guys don't already know, anyone best of luck to all and don't get discouraged if you don't get this one right away. happy hunting

This is pretty tuff to get (not hard! just tuff)
First off there is no save point if you get to 48 and lose you have to start over.
Tips- Keep at least one finisher for emergency situations.
Use 4 punch combo 3-4 times in a row till you get a signiture.(Sig)
Use Chokeslam sig (Last ride takes to long but use it if you want)
If the person is in critical damage pin them. (hold R1 to pull up damage indicator)
Use finishers only when close to getting your sig.
Every 5 people defeated you replenish 1 health per body part. (EX if you body damage is orange you will heal to yellow)
Things to note CPU takes very little damage before they can be pinned so that's why you use 4 punch combo one finisher changes them 2 colors. So get them yellow with the combo and then Tombstone/Chokeslam him.
After you get to 30 people it starts to get tough the CPU becomes more aggressive and reverse more. When you hit 40 the do so even more and they also take at lease 2 finishers to put out.
Combine this with other Trophys such as
Attack a body part 10 times in one match.
Defeat 10-30-50 Superstars.
and K.O. Ten people.
If I missed something please put it in the comments.
If this helped thumbs up. If you found something that helped you put it in the comments and I will credit you in the guide thanks for taking the time to read my first guide/tip hope it helps.

How long does this take to get through? Since it needs to be done in he one sitting it would be good to plan when to do this

Sorry took me so long to reply buddy. It take 45 mins to an hour depends on how much the computer reverses.

The Lord of Darkness Achievement
The pre match set up I go to is simple, make sure your 30 Years of Wrestlemania setting is on Easy. Load up the match and go against whoever is first.
My strategy is to
A: Set up the Undertaker's chain attacks, which I believe is four different punches.
B: If using the default moveset, use groggy grapples (for more head damage) and (for more body damage)
Since The Undertaker's chain attacks effect the body of the opponent, this should help you easily.
Additional Note #1: I would say to save up your signatures for the next opponent (if you can), because I would say a good percent of the time, if you hit one of his signatures (chokeslam or last ride) followed by a tombstone piledriver, will work over half the time.
Additional Note #2: Despite the urge you may get, don't actually target your opponents by weaknesses. I know you may want to focus on the legs of Andre, but I find this is better because
A: The Undertaker's two finishers are head focused
B: Knockouts are turned on, I've had it were The Great Khali ran into the ring, I gave him a tombstone, and he was eliminated without me pinning him.
I developed this strategy five opponents through my first (serious) run, and I got the fifty before just letting myself get pinned.

Superstars 1-40 are fairly easy but 41-50 are kind of a pain. You'll need to make sure you reverse and hit big moves. If you take too much damage, you're screwed so play it safe and don't do anything crazy. Once you've defeated the 50th Superstar, you'll earn the trophy. It took me 1 hour and 5 minutes to complete the match, so make sure you have the time before you start. See this video if you're having trouble (credit to DANALL3N for the video):
Same as "The Deadman" but requires 50 victories.
