How to unlock the Don't Trust Anybody achievement in WWE 2K16 - Definitive Guide

To unlock this achievement you must complete all 20 of the Special Objectives.

Most require you to play Showcase mode either (i) to complete the Special Objective or (ii) to unlock a character required to complete the Special Objective. Certain Special Objectives are progression based and are not available until after you complete a specific Showcase match. Hidden descriptions are fully unlocked once you complete the Showcase story.

REMINDER: To make playing the game easier (1) set the difficulty to Easy and (2) adjust the sliders to favor the player - Low AI sliders and High Player sliders (except maybe for the stamina slide - not sure if high is good or bad).

The Special Objectives are listed below as are some tips on how to quickly/easily beat them.

SO1 - Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin - As Bret Hart, defeat Austin at Survivor Series 1996. PROGRESSION based. Only available after story progress. Can be accessed from Special Objective menu.

SO2 - Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin II - As Bret Hart, defeat Austin at Westlemania 13 via submission. PROGRESSION based. Only available after story progress. Can be accessed from Special Objective menu.

SO3 - The McMahons vs. Steve Austin - As either Shane or Mr. McMahon, defeat Austin in a ladder match and King of the Ring 1999. PROGRESSION based. Only available after story progress. Can be accessed from Special Objective menu.

SO4 - Triple H vs. Steve Austin - As Triple H, defeat Austin in a Three Stages of Hell match. PROGRESSION based. Only available after story progress. Can be accessed from Special Objective menu.

SO5 - Chris Jericho vs. Steve Austin - As Chris Jericho, defeat Austin at Vengeance 2001. PROGRESSION based. Only available after story progress. Can be accessed from Special Objective menu.

SO6 - The Rock vs. Steve Austin - As The Rock, defeat Austin at Wrestlemania 19. PROGRESSION based. Only available after story progress. Can be accessed from Special Objective menu.

SO7 - Mikey Whipwreck vs. Steve Austin - As Mikey Whipwreck, defeat Austin at November to Remember 1995. PROGRESSION based. Only available after story progress. Can be accessed from Special Objective menu.

SO8 - Three Time Royal Rumble Winner - As Austin, win three 30 man Royal Rumble matches. MUST BE A 30 MAN ROYAL RUMBLE, but can be in any mode (Play Now, WWE Universe, Showcase). You DO NOT need to be first in the ring (it can be completed as the 30th entry character). It can be completed by playing as any Austin character (Stone Cold, Stunning Steve, Superstar Steve, etc.). Replaying the Showcase "Royal Rumble" match three times also appears to complete the requirements (though I played 30 man Royal Rumbles in WWE Universe to work on wins).

SO9 - Dangerous Alliance - Win a match as Stunning Steve Austin with Paul Heyman as your manager. Can be completed in Play Now or WWE Universe. Choose Yes during add a Manager and select Paul Heyman.

SO10 - I'm the Tag Team Champions!!! - Win or defend the tag team titles as Austin with the following Superstars: Shawn Michaels, Dude Love, The Undertaker, and Triple H. PROGRESSION required to unlock certain characters. Can be completed in Play Now or WWE Universe. I suggest playing a Play Now match with the desired partner and before starting Press Y and select on of the unassigned legacy tag team belts to win.

SO11 - The Match that Never Happened - As Brock Lesner, defeat Stone Cold Steve Austin on Monday Night Raw. Can be completed in Play Now or WWE Universe. Be sure to select the right Austin character.

SO12 - Rattlesnake Domi-Nation - As Austin, defeat all four members of the Nation of Domination in singles matches (The Rock, Farooq, D'Lo Brown and Kama Mustafa). PROGRESSION required to unlock certain characters. Can be completed in Play Now or WWE Universe.

SO13 - That was a Close One... - Win a match while one of your limbs is critically damaged. Should come naturally (especially as you are learning how to play, consider moving AI damage sliders up to increase limb damage). Body indicator will appear "red" when critically damaged.

SO14 - A Model Employee - After flipping off Mr. McMahon, hit him with a Stunner. PROGRESSION required. Can only be completed in Showcase mode. It is suggested to do this at the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" match against Mr. McMahon. Knock Mr. McMahon down, press UP on the d-pad to flip him off and then activate a Charged Finisher.

SO15 - 100% Whoop-Ass - Win without using a reversal during a Showcase match. Play an early match on Easy difficulty and go for the Finisher/pin combo without using RT to reverse.

SO16 - Strike first, ask questions later!!! - When starting a match of Showcase, attach an opponent first in gameplay. Should come naturally. Hold LT to run at the opponent and hit X to do a closeline.

SO17 - Do unto others, before they do unto me - Win the 2001 Royal Rumble on Easy difficulty in Showcase. PROGRESSION and DIFFICULTY based. Can only be completed in Showcase mode. Awarded for completing the Showcase "Royal Rumble" match.

SO18 - Defeat the Undertaker at SummerSlam on Normal difficulty in Showcase. PROGRESSION and DIFFICULTY based. Can only be completed in Showcase mode. Fight straight up or start the match and fight/counter outside of the ring, trying to stun The Undertaker with enough time to run (LT) back into the ring before the 10 count. Pause and restart if you fail to avoid the cinematics. I found that running in between 8-9 in the count left little room for the opponent to recover.

SO19 - Defeat Dude Love on Hard difficulty at Over the Edge in Showcase. PROGRESSION and DIFFICULTY based. Can only be completed in Showcase mode. Best suggestion is to start the match and fight/counter outside of the ring, trying to stun Dude Love with enough time to run (LT) back into the ring before the 10 count. Pause and restart if you fail to avoid the cinematics. I found that running in between 8-9 in the count left little room for the opponent to recover.

SO20 - Defeat the WWE Champion Shawn Michaels on Legendary difficulty at Wrestlemania 14 in Showcase. PROGRESSION and DIFFICULTY based. Can only be completed in Showcase mode. Best suggestion is to start the match and fight/counter outside of the ring, trying to stun Shawn Michaels with enough time to run (LT) back into the ring before the 10 count. Pause and restart if you fail to avoid the cinematics. I found that running in between 8-9 in the count left little room for the opponent to recover.

If you find any issues with the solution please comment so it can be addressed.

Bret Hart submission match is impossible. I had Austin with every with every body part in red and he still would not submit to the sharpshooter. This is seriously some rigged bullshit.

So you don't NEED to do the match special objectives?

To earn this achievement you must earn all the objectives in the special objectives menu in the Showcase gamemode.

For most of the matches you can simply fight the guys outside and run in at 9 and get a Timeout win.

Some people may have issues with the royal rumble one where anything after the first win isn't registering. You must use each the following for a win each: Stone Cold, Stunning Steve, and Superstar Steve. I did enter at number 1 but I don't think it is required. Credit to CarMolKING856 for sharing this information with me.

Edit: According to xllmiseryllxx there is a much easier way to do this. Simply play the actual Showcase rumble match three times.

You have to start at #1 in for it to register . Should be easy is it's on that difficulty just save finishers to be safe if you get into trouble. The button prompts are pretty easy to do as well as the slider to hit the red mark.

can confirm, you can just do the Royal Rumble showcase.

Just eliminate Gunn, Taker, and Rikishi normally. then you have to beat up The Rock, stunner him, and grapple him. Lastly you can just eliminate Kane normally, no need to stunner him

a tip on the "win 3 royal rumbles" special showcase objective

You don't need to actually win 3 royal rumbles as Austin. to easy pass this objective just do the showcase match for the 2001 Rumble twice (the first time you do it counts as the first.) so you just have to go through Billy Gunn, Undertaker, Rikishi, Rock and Kane

In this video the achievement is unlocked.

To get this achievement you must complete 20 special objectives in the 2K Showcase mode. This is the "Match that never happened" special objective. To complete this special objective you need to defeat Stone Cold Steve Austin with Brock Lesnar on Monday Night RAW. From the special objectives screen you will be brought to the match selection menu. Once you have selected a match with the two wrestlers make sure to press cn_Y & pick the RAW arena to complete the objective. This happened to be the objective that was saved for last but you can complete the special objectives in any order to unlock the achievement.

Side note: Once you go through the Stone Cold Showcase you will notice that at least 1 of the Rumble matches says CLEAR next to it. Repeat the Rumble in Showcase mode until you have 3 CLEAR's. Also with the Tag Team objective you should have at least 1 CLEAR. Make sure to make the Tag matches for the Tag Team Championship by pressing cn_Y before the match to bring up the options & make it for the titles. You do not have to assign/reassign the belts before/after the match just switch partners until you have all 4 CLEAR's. As for the LEGENDARY match against Shawn Michaels, be very aware of your stamina bar is my best advice.

The only problems will be with the Legendary Shawn Michaels, in the challenge to defeat him on the Legend, otherwise everything is quite easy

On the question of difficulty, almost everyone can do it on any level, except for 3 with Undertaker at Summerslam on normal difficulty, with Dude Love on hard, and with Shawn Michaels on legendary.
