How to unlock the I am the Best! achievement in WWE 2K16 - Definitive Guide
This is one of four achievements you get by playing through MyCareer mode and accumulating points -- in this case -- Virtual Currency (VC) to spend on making your character better.
According to Legendkiller90, "You need 1,389,000 vc to get I am the best achievement."
You gain 1,250 VC after you complete the tutorial until you get promoted to Raw. Then you earn 2,500 VC per match, no matter how good or bad you do. As an experiment, I started a match. Then, without doing anything, I went to the main menu and quit. Sure, I lost the match, but I still got my 2,500 VC.
Each skill varies in price, from 9,000 VC (Pod People, ladder finisher, etc...) to 21,000 VC (Top Rope Diver), to 45,000 VC (most OMG! moves), to 90,000 VC, to 125,000 VC (Comeback).
Super Heavyweights no longer need to worry about the Outside Superplex skill (45,000 VC) since it was removed as of an update. Likewise, only a Super Heavyweight is eligible to go after the Ring Breaker skill (not sure how much VC it costs). A Cruiserweight or Heavyweight can't get it. NOTE: If you want "I Am a Wrestling God" you still need to get Immovable Object (670/5360/21440 depending on the level) as a Heavyweight or Super Heavyweight. A Cruiserweight can't get it. If you're trying to get both achievements, do NOT be a Heavyweight since it'll take longer.
UPDATE: It looks like Ringer Breaker is no longer required at all. Apex Predator20 told me on XBL he couldn't find it even as a Super Heavyweight, so I imported one of mine into MyCareer and I couldn't find it either. Therefore, it might be easier to get this achievement as a Super Heavyweight since you wouldn't have to get Ring Breaker or Outside Superplex.
If you're only going for this (and/or the "Competent Manager" achievement) you can just quit every match and still get the 2,500 VC.
Be sure to start a rivalry at the beginning of the month so you don't lose out on VC!
NOTE: If you're grinding all four achievements, it's better to get "Untouchable" and "I am a Wrestling God" out of the way first since you get significantly less SP if you lose.
These are the other three achievements you get by leveling up your character:

I found this is a little confusing. Just tell me this. I'm a Light-Heavyweight, can I get this achievement while being a Light-Heavyweight? If not, which weight class should I be and what weight class do I need to be for the other achievement (purchase all abilities)? Thank you in advance.

Yes, be the Light Heavyweight. You can get Outside Superplex. Ring Breaker can only be purchased as a Super Heavyweight.
I did notice some errors in this guide. Those errors have been fixed. Hopefully that fixes some confusion.

There is a total of 31 skills you will need to purchase for a total of 1,398,000 VC. You will gain VC by playing matches. You will get more out of winning a match, than losing a match. The match rating makes no difference on your VC gain, as it is a set amount based on the show, and whether you win or lose. You can even exit out of the match as soon as you start if desired. Once you have earned enough VC and purchased all the skills, the trophy will unlock.
To make the grind for the VC shorter, do not spend any of it. Wait until you get 1,398,000 VC and then make a backup save. Buy all the skills and then load the backup and then buy all the managers. This will take a significant amount of time off your grinding.
