Pull the right trigger as soon as you see the red RT icon flash to perform a major reversal. The Green RT is "Minor Reversal" - those only require one stock. The major reversal requires 2 stock and is a bit more difficult to pull off, but if done successfully, will weaken your opponent temporarily giving you a little leverage.

Can this be done with two controllers or just against CPU?

Just tried with 2 controllers and in an online match. and it didn't pop in either.
Think this one has to be done against the CPU.

The problem I have with this achievement is that it doesn't seem like all moves can be countered with a major reversal. So I never know when I'll be able to try it.

Plus it's always the minor indicator that pops up first and I always hit that before the red one can show.

I did this against a CPU. I did it successfully a few times in Showcase Mode, and it didn't pop but I finally got it in a singles match. I repeated this method on another profile and got the achievement, so I have to assume its CPU only or its just glitched atm

Did this twice during my career mode, both times against Hey uso while he was going for a samoan drop. Just be patient but quick & you should get this.

I got it from playing as Erik Rowan against Christian on a One-On-One normal match under "Play Now", after 3-4 tries and 1 match loss. I kept replaying the same exact match until i performed the major reversal.

Hey vegansound, I have no idea what "stock" is, but you will notice sometimes when your opponent attacks, there can be TWO reversal attempts in quick succession. Ignore the first one and get ready for the second, because if you can hit

in time, the achievement will unlock.

I just got it a few moments ago.

I just got this in the 2K Showdown. Stone cold VS the Rock on D-GENERATION X: IN YOUR HOUSE
the Rock will grapple you when the match starts ( or at least sometimes) learn when to counter. If he doesn't grapple just restart the match until he does, pretty easy and you get that annoying achievement off your list!

I can confirm this is the easiest way to do this. The achievement doesn't pop right away. It pops after you damage The Rock and Irish whip him and the cutscene begins (at least that's how it popped for me) Just like he says, if The Rock doesn't grapple you when the match starts, just restart the match.

When opponents perform specific maneuvers against you, sometimes a green circle will appear around the reversal icon. Purposely skip this attempt and wait for a second icon to appear, but with a red circle around it. Reversing here is considered a "major reversal", it can take a few attempts as the window of opportunity is incredibly small, but with the amount of times you will encounter this, you should eventually get it.
