How to unlock the WWE Live Star achievement in WWE 2K16 - Definitive Guide

The Diva TLC boosting method here is great and works very well. One of the things I really wanted to know when starting was the amount of matches you will need and the xp requirements to rank up to each level. After quitting out a few times and comparing the xp needed for ranks I found the formula for how much xp keeps increasing over time. Below is the amount needed to hit each level (i.e. if Level 19 has 2850 xp next to it that means you need to earn an additional 2850 xp to what you already have to hit level 19)

Next Level XP Needed
Level 37 = 5550
Level 36 = 5400
Level 35 = 5250
Level 34 = 5100
Level 33 = 4950
Level 32 = 4800
Level 31 = 4650
Level 30 = 4500
Level 29 = 4350
Level 28 = 4200
Level 27 = 4050
Level 26 = 3900
Level 25 = 3750
Level 24 = 3600
Level 23 = 3450
Level 22 = 3300
Level 21 = 3150
Level 20 = 3000
Level 19 = 2850
Level 18 = 2700
Level 17 = 2550
Level 16 = 2400
Level 15 = 2250
Level 14 = 2100
Level 13 = 1950
Level 12 = 1800
Level 11 = 1650
Level 10 = 1500
Level 9 = 1350
Level 8 = 1200
Level 7 = 1050
Level 6 = 900
Level 5 = 750
Level 4 = 600
Level 3 = 450
Level 2 = 300
Level 1 = 0

If you are using the Diva TLC method alternating wins, you will gain roughly a bit over 1,000 xp every two matches. This means with no other added matches and only that boosting method you will need to play roughly 211 matches to earn the achievement. Due to servers and having to quit out every now and again it takes an average of 5 - 6 mins per match so this will take you around 17 - 19 hours of solid boosting to get. This of course does not include any bonus xp from waiting for a match or using 2K tonight or Team Up matches so it can vary a little bit while you are also going for those two achievements.

Hope this is helpful as I know I searched the internet for this information at first and couldn't find it. If you have any questions please comment below and I will be glad to try and answer them smile Good luck and happy boosting!

Fair point PeriodicRx, and totally accept the criticism. Just note that my guide was intended to at least let people know what the requirements were for the XP amounts needed for each level and attempting to let gamers know how long this might take them. Again, no need to change your vote but my main goal was to still help the other gamers out when it came to this method. smile

I'm not really being critical of the guide as much as I am wanting 2K tonight to be the top solution. Ordinarily, solutions at the bottom are ignored because they aren't good, poorly written or they aren't the best way. I think having the experience needed is great information and clearly a lot of people think so. But if I hadn't needed to get a win in 2K tonight, I would never have played that mode and found how good it was for gaining experience in general. I'm just trying to get the word out that boosting this is not the fastest or best way. In no way being critical of you or the work that went in to getting this information. Game on!

Something else i just discovered. I dont think it matters at all what you do in practice. I think the bonus is made up entirely on how long you spend there. I am basing this on 2k tonight mode that Ive been using , but i got bonuses from 3% to 13% and all i did was stand there. I didn't touch the controller at all. 13% came after it took me 104 seconds to matchmake. 3% came after 46 seconds and 53 seconds. If youre boosting try it out. Let the pc beat you up.

@Midget Furyx

The method is in a solution that is below this one. I didn't want to copy paste the other gamers work so it is not in here. In short, boost and search only for Diva TLC matches. Whomever is winning the round grabs chair by ringside, hits other player until they earn a finisher, performs finisher, then grabs ladder and gets the briefcase. Each player alternates wins.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Just to add on to this guide. Sometimes there would be another group of boosters doing this method, so you and your partner would sometimes get split up. The best solution, besides working with the other gamers you keep finding (the ones I found weren't too kind), is to go to ladder matches with divas. You receive about the same amount of xp for the same amount of time. Same process as with the TLC matches. Got it around 190 matches with about 6% bonus xp average from practice. It's a kind, it's boring as all hell, but it could be much worse. Have fun guys

Yes, we all love to boost because thats what the site is all about, trying to make these acheivements easier. But sometimes, boosting isnt as efficient as doing it legit. The best solution to this and the quickest way to superstar is really through 2K tonight main event. As the other solution says, you get 10% bonus just for playing that mode plus what you might get from practice. Matchmaking is much much quicker, i assume because there are a lot of people playing that mode. Once in the match, just try to win, do your best. If you have been playing career you already have a reasonable amount of skill so try. If the match goes the distance and the win is by pinfall, both the winner and the loser get great xp. I have had matches where I got 1400 xp as the loser. And its a lot more fun than playing the stupid AI ahead of the boosting method trying to get max xp bonus. Yes, the matches have the potential to go a bit longer than a boosting match, but you will make up that time and more in matchmaking speed. Just try it. Voting all TLC boosting methods down and 2k tonight method up.

For this achievement you need to reach level 37. The fastest way is to do the 2k tonight main event. (1 on 1 normal). You get a bonus 10% xp for doing it. Pick the wrestler that you are the best with. (Preferably someone with a submission finisher or signature) ( I used Jim Neidhart) (Most people don't know how to escape submissions making an easy win) When you are searching for an opponent try to do as much damage to the computer in practice as you can to get EVEN more xp. Don't be scared if you find a high level opponent. DO NOT BACK OUT. The longer the match drags out the more xp you get. (You get about the same amount)

Please note: this achievement can glitch and you can get it earlier.
(I got mine at level 21)
It glitched in a Team-Up match in which I got it after winning.
It glitches in a similar way as the Level 100 achievement in GTA 5.

If you can't find anyone, try using a different wrestler.
Also you CAN NOT use custom wrestlers in 2k tonight.

Hopefully it might help you....maybe

I don't care about the thumbs down votes here. This is a good method. I am losing more than I am winning and still getting the same XP of 900 - 1200 depending on how long I practice. Went up 3 levels in 1 day on the low end and in less than an hour.

Thanks. Most people just ignore it because it isn't "boost-able" and that they have to actually do matches with other people.

This is the best method, usually fighting a good match can earned 1000/1400 xp.
It happened even to gain 1900/2100 xp with hard-fought matches.

And it is true that it can glitch in a Team-up match.
I was playing with my friend a Team-Up match as our first online game, unfortunately at the start of the match my WWE 2K16 was frozen cry, while he at the end of the match unlocked 3 achievements
WWE 2K16ProspectThe Prospect achievement in WWE 2K16 worth 36 pointsEarn the online rank "Prospect".

WWE 2K16Blue-ChipperThe Blue-Chipper achievement in WWE 2K16 worth 76 pointsEarn the online rank "Blue-Chipper".

4-5 hours if it glitches in your favor some people are unlocking it by getting blue chipper then getting in a team up match against someone 37 or higher

To those who have won this, roughly how long does this take from start to finish if you use the boosting method? Tried legit yesterday and barely anyone was online. We talking a 4-5 hour job or a week long grind?

If you're wanting to do the online rank achievements legitimately, search One on One Normal matches and pick a male superstar. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone else in the other game modes. But chances are that if you're looking at a guide for this, you're looking for a boosting method.

I have not tested out every single match type to see which ones give the most XP, but this is the method that me and a buddy have been using that has been getting us pretty good XP.

Choose WWE Live in the online menu and then choose TLC. Pick a Diva (you're going to want to pick a regular roster Diva and not a custom one, just to keep load times down.) As you and your friend are searching, you'll be in this Practice mode against an AI. Doing moves here will grant you bonus XP after you finish your match. From my experience, it takes a few minutes to get matched up. What I would do in the meantime is go outside the ring and grab a chair from next to the announce table. Then I would keep hitting the AI with it until I got my Signature. I'd then hit them with my signature, and then my finisher. By that point I'd usually be matched up with my partner. If not, I keep hitting the AI with the chair. I would usually get a 20% XP bonus from doing this. Alternatively, you could just let the AI beat up on you. I would get around 15% bonus XP from doing nothing during the practice.

In the match itself, whoever is going to win should grab a chair. Keep hitting your opponent with it until you get your Signature. Hit them with your signature, then your finisher. Then grab the ladder and climb up and grab the briefcase. The losing player can taunt while the winner is grabbing the briefcase, but I'm not entirely sure if that gives any extra XP.

With this method, the winner gets around 800 XP while the loser gets around 500 XP, so you'll both be levelling up pretty steadily while trading off wins. The rank required for this achievement is Rank 37, but the achievement may unlock earlier for you. Personally, the two other ranked achievements unlocked for me after I lost my very first online match. Hopefully you'll be lucky and have it glitch out early for you as well.

i got it due to some glitch some time ago
was in a tag team match and one person had got the achievement legit (i think thats whats needed to get it to glitch one person with the achievement legit)
and after winning to match the 3 achievements popped
we then changed the team so that the person with the achievement legit is on the losing side again (so that his partner on the first match would get the achievement
and it worked perfectly

UNOBTAINABLE DUE TO SERVER CLOSURE

The bood news is that this trophy and Blue-Chipper (B) is glitched in a good way. If you play online in Team Up and you face one or both opponents with the Superstar rank, win or lose, there is a chance these trophies will pop for you after the match. It might also be possible that the other ranked online trophy may as well (not confirmed). The opponents cannot drop during the match for it to work.

This is rank level 37. You can attempt to boost this by using the thread here or doing it solo. The difference in experience you get if you win or lose is not much. In the end, it is still quicker to boost than going alone.

If you do boost, use the WWE Live option, one on one match and pick a steel cage match. Use the Divas, as they are less picked than any other, which will help you find each other with a less chance of being paired with a random person. Once ready, search at the same time and hope you get a match with each other.

Once you finally get enough experience and reach the rank of Superstar, the trophy will pop.

To gain lvl, fight with your opponent for a long time, try to break free after each finisher (at least three), push back, and after 10 minutes, you get 1500 points
