How to unlock the I am a Wrestling God achievement in WWE 2K17 - Definitive Guide
NOTE: There are multiple reports that you can't get this achievement if you're a Cruiserweight. This is due to Immovable Object being left in and it's the same issue they had to patch last year, so hopefully they'll patch it again this year.
This is one of four achievements you get by playing through MyCareer mode and Virtual Currency (VC) to spend on making your character better.
The amount of VC you gain depends on how many stars you get during matches. You need a certain number of points for each half star.
Here's the amount of points you get for each type of move:
Failed reversal: -20-0
Repeat move: -10-0
Reversal: 100-300
Basic (Running, grapple, strike, corner, etc...): 120
Off the middle/top and weapons: 200 (Can use repeatedly up to a certain point)
Signature: 300 (Can use repeatedly up to a certain point)
Finisher (OMG!, regular, stolen): 400 (Can use repeatedly up to a certain point)
Barricade Breaker: 750 (Can use repeatedly up to a certain point)
You get significantly more SP for winning a match than you do for losing. You also gain significantly less VC for winning DQs and count outs.
You can also gain VC for completing the Authority's orders. Don't worry about completing them, however. They're only useful for the extra VC, so only complete the ones you can. There are orders that tell you to lose or win/lose by DQ/count out. You should avoid those because it's not worth it.
Purchasing certain skills and abilities can boost your overall rating. I got Ring Escape LVL. 3 and my rating went from 90 to 91.
You'll get more VC if you're on NXT and have the NXT pack.
NOTE: All four achievements cost VC now. SP is a thing of the past. However, you can get far more VC than in WWE 2K16 from the matches. Not only that but you can get VC from any match in any mode, though MyCareer is still the best for grinding VC. Also, you can get VC from T-Shirt sales, though in order to keep the income up you have to change it every week. If do that by equipping a T-Shirt as an entrance attire.
These are the other three achievements you get by leveling up your character:

do you have to be heavyweight since one of them is exclusive to heavyweights and super heavyweights?

I don't believe so. I didn't test cruiserweight. However, if you're a cruiserweight, Immovable Object should be removed. I do know there's no Ring Breaker skill in the skills list for heavyweights.

Getting all the abilities maxed out to level three will cost you 343,800VC. This is the cheapest of the Career achievements. However - you cannot get this achievement with a Cruiserweight or Light Heayweight superstar, as they are unable to get the Immovable Object achievement. Don't fear however, if you did go with a LHW or CW like I did, it's not that bad. Just start a new career as a Heavyweight, quit the three matches and promo to save time then just buy all the abilities. It's just a mild inconvenience. Now, to get all the abilities - you need to buy the skill called comeback (45k VC, I included this price in the 343k VC already) equipped to your character. 343 VC will take barely any time at all to get, I got more than that in a month of career.
Ps, you DO NOT need to buy any ability slots for this achievement. You just need to purchase the achievements. Buying the slots - unless you want your abilities equipped - will set you back over a million VC for little to no reason, making the skills and overall achievements take a lot longer.

Before you can purchase all of the abilities, you need to make sure your character is a Heavyweight or Super Heavyweight, you also need the comeback skill (45000 VC).
You need to purchase all 3 levels of each ability for this. The total cost for all of the abilities is 298,800 VC, not including the VC you need for comeback. You also don’t need to buy the extra slots. I’d suggest having the 298,800 VC on hand, backing up your save, buying all the abilities then download your original save since you don’t need many of the abilities. This will save VC for other trophies.

Acquire all abilities. There is an important nuance. Among other abilities, there is one such as IMMOVABLE OBJECT, which requires a heavy or super heavy character to purchase and use. Take this into account initially when creating your character, since changing the weight later is not available, at least at the time of writing the tip.
