WWE 2K18

To get this achievement you need to be in a one on one match, but make sure you have a manager, as far as I'm aware both you and your manager need to be heel, so I would recommend Rusev and Lana. From here attack your opponent until they have red body or head health. From this point on let your opponent attack you and don't fight back, and eventually your manager will "distract" your opponent. When this happens, press up on the right stick to attempt the leverage pin. If you get the pin, you will get the achievement.

This achievement can be tricky and took me a few times to get, so I've made a video on it incase anyone would prefer to watch it done:

I spent a good few hours using the above method but with no luck as Lana was only distracting the opponent for a split second. So I tried with different superstars;

I changed The Miz and Maryse "Mouthpiece" ability to level 3 and set up a one vs one against R Truth. Still gave him a beating until his health was red and then let him beat me as per the above solution. But i then found when Maryse distracted R Truth it was long enough for me to get the pin.

As we know this is buggy as hell, but I found none of these solutions worked for me

I picked Eric Young (he already has Mouth piece level 3) vs Aiden English (don't think the opponent makes a difference)

The great thing about this is that Eric Young can go to the ring with the whole of Sanity, meaning you have 3 managers so 3 times as likely to distract your opponent

I did the usual beat down the opponent to red and then got beaten up, during this Aiden started arguing with Killian whilst I was down and argued for a while allowing me to get up and flick for the win & cheevo

Introduction - Distraction Bug

As of this writing - Manager Distractions are bugged and they only distract your opponent for a second. If you have downloaded the Oct/Nov 2017 Title Update then this achievement has become difficult to unlock using the manager distraction tactic detailed by other solutions.

Until further patches fix the manager distraction bug, then it may be impossible to unlock this achievement using manager distraction.

My solution is to help you play WWE 2K18 without the title update installed so you can use the manager distraction without the bug.

This solution may only be possible for those who have disc versions of the game. I am unsure whether the digital version will automatically install with any title updates. In which case you will need to wait for an update to fix the issue.


Please Note:

My solution involves losing your existing save file. If you have already made considerable progress through your MyPlayer Career, Road to Glory, WWE Universe Mode etc - then it’s probably not worth using my solution, as this would lose your progress in those other game modes. Instead I would suggest waiting for a further update from WWE 2K.

I was only going through the Play Mode vs A.I. achievements to start off the game so I was not losing any progress.

Solution

My solution is to uninstall WWE 2K18. You do not need to delete your save file. Now reinstall WWE 2K18 but make sure you decline to install the Update Whenever you try to launch / play WWE 2K18 it will prompt you to install the update. So here is how you can avoid the update.

Go Offline

Put your console in Offline Mode. Go to Settings > Network > Network Settings > Go Offline

Going Offline simply disconnects you from Xbox Live but you will still be able to unlock this achievement. You want to keep your console Offline until you have completed this achievement. Being Offline will allow you to launch the game without being prompted to install the update.

Do not try to Go Online whilst you’re still playing WWE 2K18 to unlock this achievement, because it will force the game to close and you will be asked once again to install the update.


Manager Distraction

Now you have launched WWE 2K18 without the update, you will need to overwrite your old save as it will be corrupted because it relates to the updated version of WWE 2K18. So overwrite your save and once you’re in the menus go to Play > One on One, and use Rusev with Lana as Manager, or The Miz with Maryse as Manager, and face a weaker opponent like Sawyer Fulton, R-Truth, or Enzo Amore.

Follow the other solutions, inflict plenty of damage on your opponent. Then let your opponent start to inflict damage upon you. And you will notice that your manager will distract your opponent and now it will be for a much longer period of time. You will need to push up and this will execute the distraction roll up. As long as you weakened your opponent well enough then you will successfully score the pinfall.


Conclusion

You can return your console to Online now. Also feel free to install the update again. The achievement may not be unlocked instantly, it didn’t for me, but you should unlock the achievement eventually.
