How to unlock the Run the Day achievement in Xbox Fitness - Definitive Guide

10 Minute Solution Knockout Body Blast. (My Choice)

What you want to do is get 3,800 POINTS, a little less the better. I kept getting a star at around 3,880 for some reason when 3,900 gets you 1 STAR.

Do the beginning workouts until you reach 3,800 points then you want to skip right to Drill 13. You will not get more than 30 points on drill 13. One you start Drill 14 you should have a SCORE MULTIPLIER set and it should give you 100+ POINTS at the beginning which puts you over the 3,900 POINTS. Pause the game to check the score (which should be over 3,900; never had the problem) After the Challenges switch out it should show you that you now have 1 STAR. Repeat the process.

Drill 13: Box Shuffle is 6 seconds and Drill 14: Flipper Jacks is 6 seconds long as well. But they both do not start until 5 seconds.

Given that you have to Press Start every time and correctly select the Drill you are wasting some time. I was averaging 1% every 11minutes now. I just went from 10% to 16% in one night.

18.33hours to get 5,000 STARS. Hope this information helps!

ALSO, my Peak Performance Progress move 1% doing minimal effort too. I was shocked when the bar moved. Since Drill 14 your legs glow as if you are squatting as well. If anyone can look test this out, please share with the group.

Thanks for the solution. For more discussion of this method, see Real-Time Rivalry and Run the Day tricks.

I'm trying to find the exact score needed for one star. I think it's 3840 or 3850. I still have 0 stars at 3832, but have 1 star very soon after.

When did your Peak Performance progress move up? I'll try to test this out with Everest and see how long it takes for that to increase and calculate that towards Peak Performance.

If it's quicker than Mossa Groove, then it's a definite winner in my book.

I don't understand how this can be faster than the 4 minute Gatorade warmup. I'm averaging 5 stars every 4:30 which is about 12 stars every 11 minutes.

I tested out your method and got one star after Drill four which took two minutes. I didn't skip to Drill 13 since I was just testing. 1star/two minutes is 5.5 stars every 11 minutes. I don't see how you're getting 1%/11 minutes which would be 50 stars.

I'm hoping you're right but can you clarify? After you earn that first star do you quit to the main menu, go to the end of the workout or go back to the start of the workout?

0
By MisterGuyMan on 10 Jul 2016 01:43
No, you do not quit. On drill 13 you should be at 3,800points, while doing drill 13, you will get up to 30 points, plus the bonus points perk once you star drill 14. At about 5 seconds left on drill 14 you should have gotten enough points for 1 STAR, [Pause the game and check] if you did, restart drill 13 and do it again. You literally get 1 STAR every 9-11 seconds, depending how fast you are at pausing and restarting.

Unfortunately the Throw your hands in the air method doesn't seem to work, but bobbing your head definitely does. I'd stick to mossa groove and just bounce all the way through

By Mrsod on 11 Jul 2016 21:16
How long does it take for 1% on Everest or 1% on Peak Performance with your bobbing method? Most have said they get about 1.5% on Everest per Mossa Groove session. So that would be 3 hr, 45 min for 1% on Peak. But one comment said that doing jumping jacks the whole time, they got 4% on Everest. That would translate to only 85 minutes per 1% on Peak. The inconsistency in jumping is rather frustrating.

This is brilliant by the way. I tested it out a few times and there are some problems with the tracker registering the star. I've experimented to see what might cause the problem and here's my suspects:
1. Rewind two drills or else it won't count.
2. Don't earn the first star in drill 13.
3. Wait until you actually see the star appear. She should say "We have a whole other side to do..."

I timed myself this morning and got 1% in 16 minutes. Very good how I used to consider 2% over 2 hours good progress.

You can do it faster I'm sure but you risk having the stars not count.

Wanted to add that getting 3,826 FP does not give you one star and like MathGuy, unsure what gives you one star. Regardless, great work around.

Great solution, after initially going over the 3800 points too soon and trying again, I did it until I hit a percent. I then repeated 50 times and got a second percent and that took 15 minutes. I probably wasn't as efficient as possible but even 15 minutes is fantastic! Even got a percent in Everest at the same time.

So just for my clarification. Have 3,800 going into drill 13, get the star in drill 14 and then let the game roll into drill 15 before going back to drill 13, correct?
0
0
By Honeycut1 on 21 Aug 2016 19:39
You don't even need to wait to roll into Drill 15. As soon as you get the star in Drill 14, you can go back to Drill 13. You'll have to go by score since you won't see the star added until you reach Drill 15. Thanks to BreakingPad68, we know the cutoff is at exactly 3845.

If you want to automate Peak Performance and you don't have the ability to turbo your A button. I discovered the other day that if you are using a dummy with this method, leave the game paused at drill 13 and you will earn Peak Performance progress on the pause screen. I got distracted and left it like that and when I came back I had a 2% increase on Peak Performance. I thought I was mistaken and was seeing things, but I tried it again with the same results.

By Xpovos on 31 Oct 2016 19:16
Xpovos, I don't recall exactly but at least a few hours. I left it going overnight to verify and got about 4%. I don't know if it is the most efficient, but I would recommend it if you don't have a turbo controller, and have the ability to leave it overnight or while at work/school.

I tried my technique a third time and did not duplicate results. I may not have left it on long enough. I am back to turboing Mossa Groove because I earn stars there too. I will use this actual solution when I pop Peak Performance.

I have been able to successfully use your method for peak performance. What method are you using in mossa?

By Unky Ky on 30 Nov 2016 13:44
I just use the highest voted solution with my dummy and a CronusMax set to turbo A on Mossa Groove. Like I said, the progress is at least as good for Peak Performance, but has the added bonus of earning stars. The stars don't come as fast as the meters do, so I will use this fine solution to make up the difference.

By napoearth on 30 Nov 2016 13:55
Do you wrap a rubberband around the A button? Also, if I'm understanding correctly, neither the workout in this solution nor the Mossa Grove will be available after December 15.

By Unky Ky on 30 Nov 2016 14:08
I wrote a script that turbos A when you rubberband the right trigger, and yes, as far as I know they are both gone. There are still the zombie workouts if you don't have it done by then. I will pretty much be running this nonstop until I unlock it which will hopefully be just under the wire for the deadline. PM me with any future questions, we're derailing the solution comments.

I can't speak to Peak Performance progress now, but it's been more difficult to make punching progress on the Fit Friday challenge. I'll redo the same drill and get 0%, after getting 2% before. One time the progress suddenly jumped 3% after getting 0% multiple times. My guess is that the Xbox One achievement system is acting up, so progress doesn't get recorded or at least gets backed up.

My guess is the progress is just delayed. I snap the app and noticed that I didn't receive any progress towards run the day even though I was doing this method for an hour last Sunday. I didn't play all week and came back Thursday and checked to see if any of my progress had been updated and it went up by 3%. So as MathGuy states, I think it's delayed.

I made some jump progress using the workouts I describe in Best sessions/drills for Peak Performance?. I don't know what workout and timing to use for the Run the Day trick now. I suggest experimenting with the Demo. It's so short, it should be easy to get to one star and then figure out how to rewind to get the star over and over again.

The best way I've found is to do the Athlete Fit Workout 1. You'll get 1 star at exactly 6480 points so you want to be around 6450. Skip to drill 18 which is a 10 second break. Make sure not to move too much if you're close to the star because you will get a few points during this break if the kinect senses you moving. For drill 19 I just kept my legs spread a bit wide and jogged for about 1-2 seconds which got me the points to get the star. Rewind to the beginning of drill 18 and repeat. I was averaging 1% of the achievement every 15-17 minutes so about 4% an hour or 25 total hours which isn't bad at all. Good for those looking to finish this up before the deadline and it doesn't really take any energy out of you at all, it's just super tedious.

You can get a max of 5 stars per session (the drill stars don't count).

The shortest workout is 5 minutes (Gatorade Recovery) - plus a few minutes for setup; so you could potentially get 50 stars an hour (50 minutes for 10 workouts + time to switch/load).

Assuming you get 5 stars per workout each time and use the shortest workout; this achievement will take approximately 100 hours to complete from scratch.

[So if you do an hour a day, this will take just over 3 months to complete; if you do a couple of hours a week, this will take the best part of a year :)]

WOODY2211: It may be that it did reset somewhere; I have 7% - you haven't gotten the 3000 drills achievement yet, so 2% does seem reasonable - that's between 100 and 149 stars.

By angelsk on 11 Feb 2016 14:38
Just want to confirm your solution. I started at 5% and after 4 workouts I progressed to 6%. I thought this might count the stars for drills so I got 50 stars from drills and alas I didn't get 7% so it has to be for the entire workout which is so much longer to do.

Also I unlocked all the other achievements and I'm still at 6%. It depends on which workouts you do that will determine your progress. You can do a single 60 minute p90x workout for 5 stars total or 6 ten minute cardio max workouts for a total of 30 stars. They both take the same time so your mileage will vary.

To add to this solution once you've done one run through, you can rewind to the start of the workout. Make you only get 600-650 points on the first drill and do the rest as normal. Rewind and repeat. You can get 5 stars in less than 3 minutes this way.

I thought I would add that the warm-up workout for Tai Chi is only 10 minutes long, but very easy. If you're tired and don't feel like moving this one will still be easy to five star. Also, being in the health field I'd recommend it to about anyone to loosen joints so they don't get sore or painful from not enough stretching after workouts. It does cost $10, but I'm sure some of you spent more on your coffee this morning than that laugh

UPDATE//

Basketball Training Camp- Agility
You earn a star at 7,064 points.
So, if you get to around 7,060, you can skip ahead to drill 22, get 5 fitness points, rewind to the break before drill 22, sit through the 7 second break, and then get 5 fitness points on drill 22 again, rinse and repeat. You could theoretically earn a star about every 10-12 seconds if you're efficient. This results in about 5 stars per minute, or 17 hours to finish the achievement from scratch.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Original Solution:

EricGarcia4 has a great solution. Unfortunately I noticed it does not work now since the workout is not available. I've been using the JJ Watt Football Training Camp - Stamina workout and replicating what EricGarcia4's solution states. (For note, this workout has a break in between each drill.)

I found out that you get one star between 4,438-4,445 (not sure which number is the exact star). If you can get to 4,430, do a workout to get AT LEAST 4,445, rewind to the prior break as soon as you have gotten to 4,445, rinse and repeat and you'll get a star each time you get to the threshold. The trick is to rewind not to the beginning of the drill you are on, but the break before the drill you are on to get the star. So, if the break is 20 seconds long, you could get a star every 25-30 seconds roughly. That's 120 stars per hour resulting in 42 hours to complete from scratch.

I'll be experimenting with other workouts to see if there is one that results in a quicker average stars.

Despite not specifically mentioning it, the stars referred to in the Run the Day achievement are also Workout stars. Workout stars are the stars you get after completing a workout routine. These are different than the stars you get as ratings during individual drills. You gain workout stars by gaining fitness points during each drill, and after each drill you total workout stars you have so far will be shown briefly before starting the next drill. Fitness points are gained by following the trainer doing the exercise. A maximum of 5 workout stars can be earned during each workout. The achievements for 1, 25, 50, and 100 workout stars will definitely come naturally while going for the remainder of achievements, so don't be discouraged if you don't get many stars on your first couple routines. As you learn the routines you will naturally get better at them and will likely be getting 5 stars on each routine before you know it. The final achievement for 5,000 workout stars will take an incredibly long time to obtain though. Keep in mind though that all workouts have a maximum of 5 stars possible, regardless of the length of the workout. So the fastest way to get these achievements would be to play the shortest workout routines, such as basketball and football training.

These achievements are all cumulative, and can all be gained by playing the same routine over and over again, or by playing any number of different routines.
