Not a solution but i can and will help people to boost this achievement, all we gotta do is load up a private match and the person who doesn't need the achievement quits out. Simples. :)
EDIT:
if you want to get this achievement without boosting all you have to do is go into a multiplayer game (if one still exists) and either beat the opponent or hope he leaves the game. If either one happens then you should receive your achievement for winning a game.

This achievement (Meet New People. Then Kill Them.) is for winning a multiplayer match. In ranked matches, you get 10,000 "points" that you spend on a team of humans, aliens, or a mix of both. Tougher aliens cost more, and so do soldiers with more experience and skills and better weapons.
Whether you win a match or not depends a lot on your opponent and what they choose. I seemed to do best with the following team:
- Sniper with archangel armor, plasma sniper rifle, and one of the skill loadouts with Squad Sight and Damn Good Ground.
- Heavy Floater
- Thin Man
- Sectoid
The Thin Man and Sectoid were purely for scouting, and I kept them as covered as possible. While my opponent was distracted with them, I flanked them with the Heavy Floater, and once they came out of cover to attack him, my sniper (who was flying high all the way across the map) made short work of their units.
What style you choose is up to you. There is no "winning" strategy, since any strategy you choose can be countered easily with the right setup. Just have fun, multiplayer is actually pretty amazing in this game. You'll win a match eventually.
Edit: Apparently you can get this in a private match as well, thanks Shinwasha. In private matches, strategies will differ, but I imagine most private matches will be to boost this achievement, so strategy probably won't matter anyway.

Can be done in Private match. Have the person getting achievement make a team, and have the person giving it use a sectoid and that's it.

Confirmed the above. I got this in a private game in a party. We had a legitimate match but I won the round and got the achievement so it doesn't have to be in a ranked game against a randomer.

This can be done on Ranked or Private (thanks to InFlamez80 for confirming it can be done on Private). Simply play to win, using your points to set up your team however you like to play.
If you feel like boosting this, this can be the easiest boost in your life. Coordinate with your boost partner to search for a Ranked game at the same time, and when you join up (you'll see the name of the other player who has joined your game before readying up), start the match. You can also just do this on a Private game and avoid that process.
Once the match begins, the person going for the Trophy plays their turn, and when it's the other player's turn, that player (the one NOT going for the trophy) needs to simply quit out of the game, and the Winner who stayed in the game gets the trophy. Just make sure the winner makes their move first before the loser quits.

This can be done in a Private Match so Ranked is not Required.

Go online and join a ranked match. Beat the other player and this trophy will pop. Alternatively, you can find a boosting partner here Trophy Boosting Thread (Read First Post!) I had my opponent leave the match after I made the first move for this to pop.

I took two snipers and one sectoid, the snipers have titanium armor, a laser sniper perk for two shots (if I’m not mistaken - a hunter + increases accuracy by 100-105%) and nothing more.
An American came out against me with a cyberdisk of some kind of flying and shooting crap and a sectoid.
Everything that flew and shot died after the first 2 moves. and the sectoid shamefully escaped from the match, I hope it helps))))
