never understood guides that just restate the achievement requirements.

At least mention you could use cleaners for fire bullets and longer lasting assists

You earn an assist if you damage an enemy player but they're then killed by someone else on your team. Given the style of the game, you will easily rack up assists and this will likely be one of the first trophies you unlock.
