Getting an S Rank means that you can only get hit 0 or 1 time during the entire level.

I personally used Seed 1 for this if you want the exact same map layout.

Here is my run through of The Nest S Rank. Remember to use the debug and backer menus.


Co-Op: I personally found that using the second controller trick that I used for my S Rank run through of HQ made the boss battle harder since the boss had double the health. If you wish to still use the second controller co-op trick below is a short explanation.


First of all, you will want to bring up the debug menu. On the main menu highlight Options and then hold down , , , and then . Make sure to turn on infinite ammo and infinite grenades. I personally believe that it is best to not put infinite health so you can tell when you get hit. Also change the level to The Nest. If you want the same map layout as me pick seed 1.

Next you will need to bring up the Backer menu. Go back to the main menu and highlight Options again and then hold down , , , and then and choose backer 7 Jacqui. Also select The Nest as the starting area.

Make sure to change your difficulty to easy on the options menu.

Some tips to make a successful S run.
- An S rank run means that you can only get hit once. Your second controller can get hit an unlimited number of times.
- Unlike most levels, you actually have to go through every room to unlock globed "keys" to progress through the level. So go sideways first before going up/
- If you use Seed 1 you will get the same map layout.
- To get quick kills against any enemy throw your grenade directly at the enemy. A direct hit will instantly detonate the grenade to kill the enemy quickly.
- Prioritize the enemies that are blue/purple and shoot at you. Throwing a grenade at them and getting a direct hit will instantly kill the turret. There is a cooldown period between grande throws. In the event that you cannot throw a grenade you do have enough time to kill it with your gun, but you must start shooting it immediately. If you have a second delay you have the potential to get hit.
- After the gun turrets I found the red demon looking enemies to be the second hardest enemy because they leave poison on the ground that can hurt you if you walk over it.
- You can roll with , so if you are about to get shot try rolling away. Please be aware that if you are shooting it will have a second delay before you can roll.

Boss Battle
Boss is pretty easy. You will have to go through 5 different boss phases. For the first, third, and fifth phases you can stand near the middle of the screen and be on the lookout for the boss shooting you. For the second and fourth phases do not stand in the middle of the screen. Lookout for the enemies that the boss spawns in.

Welcome, Bastian Reader solution is great but to make this even easier you need plug in 2 controllers and play with 2 players, Trust me this make the getting S rank much easier because the the enemies will be divided into 2 groups most of the time one group is is going for you and the the other group will focus on the other player which gave you a small room to breath and its very very useful on later levels where there are there too much enemies even if you are playing on easy difficulty.

Playing with 2 players will maximize your chances of succeed but on the the other hand it has some bad effects like it doubles the bosses health but if you are struggling with one player method just gave it a try, You can always play the boss rush mode to practice with boss battles,

Make sure to use the infinite health and other cheats to keep the enemies distracted with the second player so he wont die, Anyway that's my little tip for you i hope it helps.
